  1. Hi, I'm interested in changing overworld and/or battle music in my HGSS hack. I've seen a couple music hack videos on youtube, but no one really says how they do it, and I suspect they might not be real. Does anyone know how to go about changing stuff like this? Can you do it through scripting, or do you need to hack a file? Is it even possible yet?
  2. Well, I played around with it. I actually think the AI got stupider when I changed it from 7 to 33 and 35. Brendan's Flame-Orb-Guts-Facade-Swellow kept using Protect... every turn... even while it was burned... And it's strength didn't seem any different. However! While messing around further, I discovered the 0C value in the Trainer's individual Pokemon tab, and I'm pretty sure THAT controls the Trainer's Pokemon's IVs or stats somehow. Many regular trainers have their values set at 0, early gym leaders are 30 or 50, mid-level gym leaders are 100ish, and rematches/elite 4, etc are all at 250 (with a max of 255). Here are two photos. Both are results of the same attack from the same pokemon on Gardenia's Jumpluff. One picture is with the 0C value set to 0, the other is 250. Not much of a difference, but it is a difference.
  3. So, when using PPRE to edit trainers, there is a 0Ch value. Does anyone have any specific details on it? A while back, Alpha and I speculated that it could be trainer difficulty, because of the values in it we noticed: - 1 (most trainers) - 3 (Falkner) - 5 (Chuck, and some other trainers) - 7 (most Gym leaders, some regular trainers, etc) - 33 (a random trainer, some pokemaniacs) - 35 (a Rival battle where he has 3 lvl 16-18 Pokemon, and another where he has 4, around lvl 20) There may even be some trainers in the 60s or 70s.... Schookid Sherman or something? Does anyone have any further details on this or experience with how it affects things in-game? If they are the difficulty, do you know what specifically it changes? (AI, IVs?) And to what degree? I may do some more research and experimenting myself later this week.
  4. We have no idea what, specifically determines which one you get. It may or may not be caused by the Eeveelutions in your team, or whatever or not you even meet them. It's possible it IS based on that, or it could simply be based on your score. We have no idea at this point. Pick a strategy, and play accordingly
  5. Unforunately, the only way to get a sav file off of a retail HGSS cart is to use NDS Adapter Plus, an external USB device. The wise thing to do would have been to dump your own HGSS and run that on your flash cart to get the event. Piracy discussion is against the rules.
  6. Thanks for the feedback. Number 1 has already been fixed, but hasn't been released yet. Number 2 is an issue that Alpha is working on. Progress update: About 98% of all planning and graphics have been completed. Everything is being pieced together and I'm in the process of scripting the rest of the locations (apart from the main Frontier area which was in the "beta") and that is about one third complete.
  7. That new course is a type of endurance course. You CAN do it more than once, but only once a day.
  8. Not sure the issue has been completely resolved. None of the changes I've made to scripts or functions have been saved (if I close the map edit window, they are not there when I re-open it). Log reports this: Changes I made in the map editor in regards to overworlds were saved properly and worked. Edit: It appears that perhaps changes I make to EXISTING scripts and functions might be saved, but creating new scripts or functions is not saved. I don't have time to confirm it at the moment, but I will when I have more time. Edit 2: It seems I was able to edit and save existing scripts in the Battle Frontier main area (272). But in the Saffron Dojo (map 398), I was able to edit existing functions, but not existing scripts. Any time I tried to make a new function or new script, it was not saved. Edit 3: I just found these files in my a/0/6 directory: access_356.map saffron.map Now.... access could be Frontier Access, and Saffron could be the Dojo... and these could be temp files left over from Alpha's patch that he gave me to continue work on this project... because those are both areas that he edited and that I'm trying to edit. I wonder if this is causing the problem here. I'll try removing them and seeing what happens. Edit 4: That could have been the problem. I successfully edited a handful of scripts in the Dojo area. Seems to have worked so far.
  9. Sorry, not sure what you are talking about? What are flagged as eggs? And by what? The events here are the same as they've always been, and all events ever hosted on this site have been obtained from the events themselves and are by definition "legal." You will never find files of any kind that are "legit" because "legit" implies that there were no outside devices used. Our events are all legal.

    hex codes please

If you use Pokegen, you don't have to worry about the hex values that aren't handled by Pokesav.
  11. Use Pokegen instead of Pokesav. It handles all known "hidden" hex values.
  12. Feedback: Character map isn't popping up when editing nickname or OT. Under "Origin," there are languages listed instead of game titles (ie, HeartGold appears as "German") Under the stats edit tab, the description such as "hates to lose," "Somewhat stubborn," etc etc, sometimes appears as English and sometimes appears as Japanese. (This was checked on Japanese pokemon in a Japanese game.
  13. Uh, like, on Nintendo Wi-fi? DId you read the first post?
  14. That guy brings up an interesting point. I think I've noticed that before with Pokemon Battle Revolution. If, on random wi-fi: Japanese pokemon traded to an English game appear with their English names and Japanese pokemon made with a sav editor still appear as Japanese on the same English game then ... is it possible that every sav editing program so far has missed something? What causes this, I wonder...
  15. It also means "fate."
  16. Update I have updated the first post to better reflect the vision of our first release (which is near). As for you that are having problems with the already released patch, I'm not sure what the problem is, but try again with our next release.
  17. I'd like to remind everyone to submit their WC contributions in .zip or .rar format. Some web browsers do not like the .pcd file attachment when downloaded. Those of you who have not posted them that way, please adjust your attachments asap.
  18. A new Seaside course has been "discovered" (ie, provided by update). It is played the same way as the forest course, but as expected, it adds many more pokemon to befriend or meet (many of which are "blue"/water-type).
  19. Wow, thanks for the list there. I never would have seen all of these adverts.
  20. Thanks for sharing those tips on playing the game with everyone. I'll be updating the first post from time to time. If you wish to choose a target type, let me know.

  22. A new event has been announced, and it is probably the most complicated event yet. Imagine the GTS events, but way more complicated. This event is for Black and White, and uses the PGL (Pokemon Global Link, the new feature in B&W which allows you to sync your game to the website and play minigames and encounter Pokemon on a PC website and then sync them back to your B&W game cartridge). The pokemon are the seven evolved forms of Eevee: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and Glaceon. It has also been revealed that each of them have an ability different from what they had before (Vaporen has Hydration, Glaceon has Ice Body, etc). Therefore, I think it's very important for this community to try and collect these event pokemon in their most natural form, as each Pokemon Daisuki Club account can only obtain ONE, and only one account can be linked to a B&W save game. However we don't yet know how the PGL pokemon encounter system works (in regards to whether you merely get a pkm file, or if it the data is transmitted in the form of something similar to a pgt file). (in recent news, it has been shown that you can send your Eeveelution to both one Black game and one White game) Data extraction aside, we need to get working on this before the game comes out and before the data extraction technology exists. Here's the deal: Steps to get this event: - Be a member of the Japanese Pokemon Daisuki Fan club - Participate in the Pokemon Labyrinth mini game which runs until Aug 31(finished) - After Sept. 1, you can confirm which Pokemon you'll get (Now Open. Seems to be based on the starter you chose.) - Pokemon B&W is released on Sept 18, and the PGL is launched (will be relaunched Oct 4th) - You'll be able to encounter your Eeveelution on the PGL/PDW between Oct 1 and Nov 1 (and then sync it back to your B&W game) (Will now be available from Oct 20th until Jan 1st) The event has now started, and thanks to all the contributors who participated in the Labyrinth game, I have been able to collect all of the Eevee evolutions in their original, untouched form. Contributors: Vaporeon - buzzthebatgirl Jolteon - Alpha Flareon - Guested Espeon - poke_soccer_fan Umbreon - Aquaguy34, d4rk_13l1t2er Leafeon - Sol64 Glaceon - Gallade Pokemon's Dream World abilities: Vaporeon - Hydration Jolteon - Quick Feet Flareon - Guts Espeon - Magic Mirror Umbreon - Inner Focus Leafeon - Chlorophyll Glaceon - Ice Body Thanks again to everyone who participated and trudged through what could possibly be the most complicated event ever. I'm glad our community was able to pull this one together. Archive posts pp.org Labyrinth.zip
  23. None of the regions were ever exact copies of their real-life counterparts. What was stated was: Isshu is BASED ON New York City and the surrounding areas.
