Pokemon Labyrinth - PGL - B&W - Eeveelutions event
Guested replied to Guested's topic in Event Pokémon News
I have updated the first post with newly released information and made the whole thing more relevant to our current position in the timeline. To you guys who have posted your results, thank you very much, but please see the quote above. Please specifically state whether or not you intend on submitting your sav file(s) after the next phase of the event starts in October. Thanks. -

It seems like it, yes. So can I put you down on the list for one or both? Are you going to be capable of backing up your save file? -

Well, it's ready! Sign in and click the bottom left link to see which Eeveelution you are assigned! My result: Flareon It could be because I chose Vulpix, it could be because I had Flareon in my party, it could be because I had a whole party of fire-type pokemon, or it could be because I had more Red Stones than any other. Not sure what exactly caused it, but I'm happy with the results. Post YOUR results! (and also if you are willing/capable to submit your .sav file backup to us when you collect it.) (I'll keep track of who is going to submit in the first post. Even if we have more than one of each type, I'll list those as well, in case someone disappears between now and October 1) -

BTW, this is one of the merchandise prizes. 30 people who got over 500m in the Ultimate Labyrinth will be selected and will win a 50-60cm plush of one of the three starters from B&W. -

Pokemon Labyrinth - PGL - B&W - Eeveelutions event
Guested replied to Guested's topic in Event Pokémon News
Right. Labyrinth is finished, the message says on the site that from Sept 1st (in about 5 and a half hours, if it starts at midnight), you can use your accumulated points to apply for your presents. This could be referring to the actual "Points" you got in the game, but will probably be applied towards the merchandise prizes. It still hasn't announced how Eeveelution presents will be determined, but we'll find out in a few hours. Thanks for playing along so far, everyone. I hope those who DID play will not forget about this and will help us out and follow through when this event finally comes to a close. The first hurdle is done! -

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE END OF LABYRINTH AND THE NEXT STEP The last day for playing Labyrinth is Aug 31st, and on September 1st you will be able to know which Eeveelution your results have given you. At this point, we still don't know if you are able to choose somehow, or if you are just assigned one. If you are able to choose your Eeveelution, please post which one you intend to choose here BEFORE YOU CHOOSE IT so that we can keep tabs and make sure we have all of our bases covered to get all Eeveelutions. If we are not able to choose, please post here which one you have been assigned. Thanks for playing! -

Yes, your save files from your Black and/or White game. That brings up a secondary important note. The B&W cartridges will have IR, as HGSS does. Therefore, you will not be able to dump your save from a retail cart unless you have NDS Adapter Plus. If you have NDS Adapter Plus, that's great (it SHOULD work with B&W, but I have not tested it with a DSi enhanced game) If you do NOT have NDS Adapter Plus, you will have to dump your retail cartridge's ROM and use it on a flash cart in order to have access to the .sav file. Please make sure you take the appropriate steps and do not sync with your retail cart if you do not have NDS Adapter Plus. -
Pokemon Labyrinth - PGL - B&W - Eeveelutions event

--Only a few days left till the Labyrinth part of this event ends!-- We still have no solid info on what determines which Eeveelution you will be awarded. Possible theories include: - The starter you chose - It's based on your score somehow - The types/colors of Pokemon in your helper-party - Which Eeveelutions you have IN your party It could also even be based off something more hidden such as: the pokemon you meet, the number of stones of corresponding color that you have (or use, even) For example, I currently have my starter Vulpix in my group, with an all-fire party and a Flareon. Out of the stones I have, I have more red stones. I suggest everyone just choose a strategy and go with it. It may turn out that we have very little control over what we get. -- Important Reminder -- ALL PARTICIPANTS, PLEASE READ As B&W gets closer to release, I urge everyone to remember this important step of this collection process: Even if there is no sav editing software at the time this event occurs, please make backups of your .sav file BEFORE and AFTER getting this event. If you do so, members who excel at hex-editing (such as Nigoli) will be able to extract the event file regardless of if there is any special software available. The PGL syncing may occur similar to Mystery Gift events from Gen IV, but it also may occur like the Pokewalker (Pokemon just appears in your box with syncing). Due to the fact that you must meet and capture your PGL encountered Pokemon in a pal-park/safari zone like scene, I believe it will be more like Mystery Gifts, meaning the series of events MAY go like this: - Sync with PGL, data similar to .pgt file is stored in .sav - Encounter Pokemon, it is generated, catch it (a la Pal Park). - You obtain the Pokemon (and .pkm file) Ideally, IF the process goes like the above, we would want backup sav files from BEFORE the first step, and inbetween the first and second steps (before you encounter the pokemon)... meaning something like: back up, Sync with PGL, save, power off, back up. This may not be possible, if you simply GET the pokemon straight up, so just before/after backups will suffice. MORE INFO ON THE PROCESS AS IT DEVELOPS, but keep the above in mind, PLEASE. Also, if you missed the update, new info has revealed you can sync your PGL account to both a Black game and a White game. (one of each) and get this event on both. -
We already have a topic about this.

I'd like to remind everyone AGAIN to contribute their files together in a .zip file. Some browsers won't download files with a .pcd attachment correctly.- 1164 replies

When submitting a WC, you really should state how it was obtained. When claiming a WC is fake, you really should state WHY you believe so and what your sources are. I see a lot of unfounded stuff going on on both sides here.- 1164 replies

Offline Pokemon Team Generator (Strategies and Moveset)
Guested replied to The_Lion's topic in Creative Discussion
I absolutely love the idea and the interface. I absolutely hate the fact that the data is all based around Smogon's BS. Therefore, the program is worthless to me. If you want constructive feedback, something more down the lines of Metalkids' old program: Let's you search/sort by whatever and shows ALL moves a pokemon can learn, not what moves Smogon says you should have. And if you included a stat calculator, then people could actively see how different natures and IV spreads affect their stats and plan them themselves, rather than just brainlessly following what Smogon says is correct. Of course the things I suggest would only be useful to people who have brains. I mean no disrespect to you or your program. My only point is advice on how to make it less smogon-centered. -

Yes, Grovyle's Mystery Gift Editor will work with HGSS and all other versions. I highly recommend it. You don't need to google it as it is in THIS very forum. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?6524-Pokmon-Mystery-Gift-Editor-%28v1-4-bta-3%29&highlight=grovyle+mystery+gift Thanks for your awesome pending contributions, OmegaDonut.- 1164 replies

Coordinates for the Indigo Plateau or anywhere close?

What about a trainer class? Because that's essentially what's going on with the Gym Leaders and E4. They each have their own trainer class. Would it be possible to change the music on a whole, separate trainer class? It looks like Kiwi can also do this sort of thing with the music files.

research Trainer difficulty? 0Ch value
Guested replied to Guested's topic in ROM - NDS Research and Development
Sorry, I typed that wrong. It's the u0 value in the Trainer's Pokemon edit tab. I hope this will come in useful for those people who are trying to make hacks that are more difficult than the original games. -
Oh hey, very helpful. It looks like I'll even be able to easily bring in battle music from Platinum. Or.... even Emerald? Probably not... I guess it's possible if I have the midis...
-
That would be fantastic! Are you basically then replacing music files with other music files? Do you know how to re-assign trainer classes or individual trainers to different battle music?
