  1. There will be a special serial number in the 15th issue of Pokemon Fan magazine that goes on sale on Dec 15th. You can enter this serial number on the PGL website between Dec 20th and April 20th (2011) in order to meet a Mamoswine in your Dream World. http://www.pokemon-sp.jp/news-sp/2010/12/1210_02.html?SP-inc=hotnewsbox As with other serial-number-activated events, the serial number can only be used once so those who wish to get the Mamoswine must actually have a legitimate serial number. The Mamoswine will be at level 34 and have its Dream World ability, Thick Fat. As you probably know, Thick Fat will reduce damage to Mamoswine from Ice and Fire-type (which it is weak to) attacks.
  2. I wouldn't hold your breath. It's possible, but I would not be surprised if it was ONLY the special move.
  3. The official Pokemon website announced today that a Darkrai will be given away at various locations around Japan. http://www.pokemon-sp.jp/news-sp/2010/12/1210_01.html The event will run from December 27th until January 11th at various department and toy stores as well as the ANA terminal at Haneda International Airport. More details as they are announced.
  4. The Pokemon given away at next year's movie will be a "special" Victini. http://www.pokemon-sp.jp/news-sp/2010/12/1203_01.html Dates and details will be revealed later, but the theories floating around are that it knows V-Generate, a move that is currently not learnable.
  5. I think Pokegen will load the pkm file wherever, regardless of file type.
  6. You can't cheat in a competition. At all.
  7. In the alpha/beta version that was released, nothing beyond the main area was finished, therefore you couldn't access any facilities. I thought I made it clear in the first post, but maybe not. Practically everything has been reorganized since that release and those areas noted in the first posts description are accessible in my in-progress version. Both that released version and my in-progress version have been tested and work fine on a Cyclo DS flashcart, so I don't know about DSTT, but emulator use is still slightly buggy, especially with no$gba. Theoretically, any flashcart with firmware that runs HGSS fine should run this patched version well enough. It'll be tested further when it is released. As it now seems that pokeDSpic will never be updated to work with HGSS, I am debating releasing an unfinished version in the next few weeks. As I've said, everything is complete (except for my future ambitions which no one knows how to modify yet), except the GBA and extra trainers do not have trainer battle sprites (their overworld sprites and teams function just fine, however). Codr says he may be able to make a program to inject the trainer sprites, but he has his hands full with Pokegen at the moment, and may not be able to get to it for a while. The other alternative is me releasing my sprite files (the not-yet-inserted ones are made, just not inserted) and the narc file to anyone willing to recut them and match up the palettes manually, using kazowar's method seen here: http://www.youtube.com/user/KazoWAR#p/u/21/GaLJRCMsQpo http://www.youtube.com/user/KazoWAR#p/u/20/tWnTx0ba6mg http://www.youtube.com/user/KazoWAR#p/u/19/fOTAVfYw7rg http://www.youtube.com/user/KazoWAR#p/u/18/67_fcZtboPY Yes, it's a four part tutorial, but it is not edited, so there is some downtime.
  8. How about these location names? http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?11746-Pokmon-Black-and-White-Translation-Project-v3-%28First-3-posts-are-constantly-updated%29&p=108022&viewfull=1#post108022
  9. It just occurred to me that this would apply to pretty much any Pokemon from the translation patch.... so, nevermind.
  10. If they were, they would have to be done in the Japanese font's roman letters in order to be usable on Random Match... and Oshawott is too long of a name for that. Tepig and Snivy would fit, but then would be very differentiable from how the real English ones will look.
  11. There's a zip file in the first post of that thread, but it hasn't been updated in quite some time. The rest of the events are spread out sporadically through the thread as they were contributed. The thing I said I was working on was compiling all of those files into a new zip/batch. But it'll be a little while as I have other things on my plate, currently.
  12. You do need a Daisuki Club account. But you need a Daisuki Club account to have a PGL account, so.... everyone should be fine. You activate it on the Daisuki Club page, I believe. Anyway, back on topic, people. Keep it to contributions.
  13. These are some errors I found in location names. The list I have might be old, and some of these might have been changed already. The terms on the right are either more accurate translations from me actually seeing the locations, or hearing part of the story to better understand the nuances of the Japanese words used... and there are also some that are just errors, and some that are changed to better fit with the way the locations were named in previous generations (Faraway Place). Great Hall -> Giant Hole Battlefield Tours -> Battle Tour Battle Games -> Battle Tournament Plaza Challenge -> Challenge Plaza Pokemon Fiesta*** -> Pokemon Festa*** Room of Conduct -> Guidance Room Thunder Stone Cave -> Electric Rock Cave Distant Place -> Faraway Place Kanoto Town -> Kanoko Town Shisaku Plains -> Meditation Field This location data ought to be changed in order to reflect a more accurate translation and to match with the impending release of PokeGen as to not cause confusion and/or chaos in the streets. Also, did I hear correctly that the translation patch is actually using "Bel" as the female friend character's name? Belle would obviously be better, as that's a real name.
  14. Goon's Scizor (along with 99% of released events) are in our Events Contribution Thread. I'm working on reorganizing and sorting everything into a new archive. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?5164-Event-Contribution-Collection The Scizor is in there... somewhere.
  15. You are still quite mistaken. Ranger Darkrai was released to all Gen IV games in USA and Europe. And Alamos Darkrai was released ONLY to to Diamond and Pearl, as those were the only games out at the time. Ranger Shaymin was released to all Gen IV games in USA and Europe. The TRU Shaymin in the US, and Film11 in Europe (which activated the Gracidea Flower) was released ONLY to Diamond and Pearl, as those were the only games out at the time.
  16. He still needs help with researching part of the data.
  17. Such as? If you are referring to the recent Trade for Evolution events, the gender is random for each one. Meaning this Pokepedia (which I've never heard of) is probably not a very reliable source of information.
  18. ... No, I meant I, myself, have the ability to research whether or not those "event" DW Pokemon have the possibility of coming out as female. And I will do so. BTW: If you are going to use Pokesav, at least use the original, non-translated version.
  19. I have the means to test/confirm this. I'll post back by the weekend. Until then, let's move the discussion to another thread if you plan on continuing, and just stick to contribution here.
  20. Pokemon appear at level 10, or their lowest level for evolution... Except in the case of legendaries, which show up generally at the level they were encountered in their natural games. http://pokemon.maruamyu.net/data/bw/pdw_lv.html
  21. This would not be checked by anyone. You wouldn't even need a file. It's just a value. One value determines pokemon species, the second value determines a special move. Bond697 is right. NulMyre has found the values and was able to insert pokemon into his forest on his sav file. Moving this to the sav forum.
  22. I suggest everyone calm down. Submissions by users are exactly how we obtain events on this site. In fact, we started from people who had actually gone to events in person, and THAT was our basis of confirmation. Two facts to consider in this situation: Tomopyapya is a Japanese user. Nigoli gets his events from Japanese websites, not in person. We know we can trust Nigoli as he marks anything he has edited himself with his own event knowledge with his WIP tag, but we can't verify what has/hasn't been done to the files before he gets them. While we generally get the real deal from such communities, it is entirely possible that they have simply been fabricated using the data from previous Trade for Evolution once the ID and OT were known. We've done similar things in the past at this very site, generating a pseudo pgt file based off of a single pokemon from a very rare event (for example). It is entirely possible that some of the Trade for Evolution WC files floating around in Japanese communities are merely modifications (perhaps even the Birthday Tabunne, as well, as those would not be hard to do at all)... Which leads me to the bottom line: We have no way of knowing. The fact that Tomopyapya has brought it to our attention is something I welcome. I live nowhere near Hiroshima and did not have time to attend the Yokohama event (or the ones in Tokyo that were nearby) so even I cannot verify anything. We will need to investigate further and compare WC files to other WC files in order to determine which one is real, and which one(s) are not. I'm not blaming anyone here, but everyone needs to calm down and look at the possibilities. Thank you, Tomopyapya.
