  1. Sorry wraith, but Swampert has been added for good. He helped me greatly in the battle vs Greencat =)
  2. Changes have been made, thanks for the advice guys. One day I'll be experienced enough to post up a new team without any jarring gaps in strategy, but until then, I'm relying on you guys =) Thinking Azelf doesn't fit it, but I don't know what to replace him with. Swampert?
  3. The objective of this team is to outlast the enemy while damage over time effects take him out. [sprite]260[/sprite] Swampert (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Torrent EVs: 240 HP/216 Def/52 SAtk Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd) - Stealth Rock - Earthquake - Surf - Ice Beam Weaknesses: Grass (x4!) Resistances: Poison, Rock, Steel, Fire Immune: Electric Provides necessary resistances to rock and fire, is another Tyranitar counter, and is a great opener. [shinysprite]460[/shinysprite] Obama (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Snow Warning EVs: 6 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Substitute - Leech Seed - Blizzard - Grass Knot --- Weaknesses: Fighting, Flying, Poison, Rock, Bug, Steel, Fire (x4!) Resists: Ground, Grass, Water, Electric Abomasnow is used for Snow Warning. He'll open with sub, and proceed to leech seed. Blizzard is used since it has 100% accuracy in hail, and Grass Knot is an additional STAB attack. [shinysprite]365[/shinysprite] Walrein (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Ice Body EVs: 220 HP/244 Def/46 Spd Bold nature (+Def, -Atk) - Substitute - Protect - Roar - Blizzard Weaknesses: Fighting, Rock, Grass, Electric Resistances: Water, Ice Standard Stallrein. Switching Substitute and Protect basically allows for 32 turns of stalling which equals up to 200% caused by hail to the opposing team, more if I have SR and toxic spikes out. Roar is there to outspeed the standard Skarmony who tries to whirlwind from my stall, and blizzard is for a strong accurate STAB. [sprite]473[/sprite] Mamoswine (M) @ Choice Band Ability: Snow Cloak EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Ice Shard - Stone Edge - Bite --- Weaknesses: Steel, Fighting, Grass, Water, Fire Resists: Poison Immune: Electric Mamoswine is the main sweeper of the team. Surprisingly fast, and insanely powerful. Earthquake will one-shot Scizors, and he outspeeds them. Ice Shard is a STAB priority attack, Stone Edge gives additional coverage, and Bite was thrown in to mix things up. (I really had no idea what to use in that last slot, so I went with more coverage) [sprite]073[/sprite] Tentacruel (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Liquid Ooze EVs: 252 HP/120 Def/136 SDef Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Toxic Spikes - Rapid Spin - Knock Off - Surf Weaknesses: Ground, Electric, Psychic Resistances: Fighting, Poison, Bug, Steel, Fire, Water, Ice Tentacruel serves to counter Infernape and Heatran, set up toxic spikes for additional stall damage, rapid spin remove SR, spikes, and knock off to remove leftovers which are countering the hail damage. [sprite]472[/sprite] Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Hyper Cutter EVs: 252 HP/40 Atk/216 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Roost - Earthquake - Stone Edge Weaknesses: Water, Ice (x4!) Resists: Fighting, Poison, Bug Immune: Ground, Electric Gliscor is the answer to Lucario and Tyranitar. The Jolly nature and speed ev's allow it to outrun all Lucarios, and go for a OHKO earthquake. Roost restores health, and swords dance allows stone edge to OHKO Gyarados, Dragonite, and Salamences after a SR/Hail. Please note that Spd is Speed, and SpD is special defense. This confused random before, but since this is how Shoddy exported it, I'm leaving it. Threats: [sprite]212[/sprite] Frankly, I don't have anything that can beat it's Bullet Punch. Gliscor resists it, but I've been told Scizor won't be OHKOed by it, and the second Bullet Punch would finish it off. Not only that, but it's immune to the toxic spikes Tentacruel sets up. I guess the only thing I would do is suicide Gliscor, and then finish Scizor off with Swampert.
  4. I'm waiting for Destati to come in and yell ZAPDOS WEAK!
  5. The gameboy and gameboy color Pokemon games had an internal battery to store your save games. Once that died, any saves you made would disappear. BTW, there's a guide to replace that battery. http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15464 In case any of you were interested....I've never done it myself, but it should work if you're careful enough. Wouldn't recommend this to any kids >_>
  6. I actually liked the phone calls, they immersed you into the game more. Of course, it was annoying when they repeated themselves. If they put some more time into the phone call system though, it could be great. They could update you on locations of legendaries, rumors that could lead you to secrets, and give you interesting stories. Perhaps even comment on things they've heard about you.
  7. OUTSIDER! Everyone get him! -swarms him with torches- Anyways, welcome to the board mrglowy. Please help us burn Wraith at the stake.
  8. I believe I stated in my first post in this thread which ones I were having trouble choosing between. =) ZoE3 would rock, and I'll keep an eye out for that. Now I'll shut up since I'm going off topic
  9. Canada eh? Learning the basics of the native tongue wherever you're traveling is just general good advice. Of course, I ended up in Paris in a restaurant once with my friends - we all just stared at the menu, I ended up picking something randomly and got spaghetti. It wasn't even that good =(
  10. ~ Agility ~ Close Combat ~ Dark Pulse / Shadow Ball ~ Hidden Power Ice 184 Atk / 128 SpA / 196 Spe Perhaps a Lucario like this, with either a Lonely or a naughty nature. Smogon says that with agility, this Lucario will outrun Timid Choice Scarf Gengars.
  11. Aha, I just searched up on that Teeth movie. "Interesting" plot behind it =/ Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Pan's Labyrinth was an amazing movie. I've watched it a few times and it always has the same effect on me. It's simply a masterpiece. The Pale Man was simply one of the creepiest creatures ever created. I don't know how Edward Scissorhands creeps you out. Come on, he's charming and innocent =) I think the weirdest movie I've seen is Naked Lunch. I wouldn't recommend watching it though if you're a homophobe....plenty of penises >_>
  12. Aha, yeah, it's pretty happy sounding, but I have a j-trance song that's the happiest thing I've ever heard. In my opinion, it sounds like a candy store just opening and tons of kids are running towards it with big smiles... it's called Crystal Blue Core Mix by .SDSG Anyways, atm, I'm listening to... Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow
  13. .....Zone of the Enders? Nice....I played the demo of the second one for PS2, but I could never find the actual game. =( I did solve the tactical-RPG ZOE for GBA though =)
  14. I just read the Lead Analysis, and it has proven useful. Well-written and interesting. Pondering about a Mamoswine as a lead now... Ah, the luring article was good for new players such as me.
  15. Changed Lucario to hold Life Orb and have Agility over Vacuum Wave. I'm not using wish and U-turn on Jirachi as much as I should be, so I was thinking about giving him a new moveset. Perhaps not, perhaps I will, I'll see how it goes.
  16. It would be nice for him to be fast enough to get out Ghost Ball on those Gengars that keep messing me up.
  17. I know my Jirachi seems useless, but he's actually proved quite helpful to me. Basically, every match I've been in, he's taken down 1 or 2 Pokemon while paralyzing others. He's quite sturdy =) I think my worst move that match was switching out Lucario at such a low HP that bringing him back in would have spikes kill him. =/
  18. Choice scarf increases speed, correct? I've noticed that my Lucario has been a bit slow on the uptake, and this has cost me. On a side note, my Tyranitar took down a Salamence earlier today, eating up 2 EQ's and still surviving, which greatly surprised the spectators. Those changes really worked.
  19. Rules: Evasion Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Sleep Clause Well, I wanted to test out my Sandstorm team, and this is the result. Aqueel: Anonymous:
  20. I'm from Canada, eh? I think the poll should be remade though, considering all that's left out. (Japan? lol)
  21. Gliscor added. BTW, great title for the thread =) [sprite]472[/sprite] Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Sand Veil EVs: 252 HP/40 Atk/216 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Roost - Earthquake - Stone Edge
  22. Quickly changed Tyranatar because frankly, I wasn't getting much from him in his old spec =/ I'll wait for everyone to finish arguing about Lucario before I see what to do with him. Endiku, you said that Vaporeon has no place in my team - what should I replace him with?
  23. Empoleon added, Vaporeons EV's changed, now waiting for random's second opinion. Plus I gotta go to bed, so I can't make anymore changes at the moment =p
