  1. This guide is for those who are interested in editing an actual trainer/berry e-Card to use with the real e-Reader. If you are capable of save editing or you are playing on an emulator it's probably easier to inject the trainer/berry into your save file directly. Requirements your custom Trainer (ECT) or Berry (ECB) of course (can be created with this tool) e-Reader dev tools (https://caitsith2.net/ereader/devtools.htm) e-Card headerfix tool headerfix.zip (source) a hex editor (like HxD) a raw e-Card which we will use as a base (English, Japanese) Editing the raw e-Card Decode your raw e-Card with nedcenc like this: nedcenc.exe -i card.raw -d -o card.bin Open the decoded card in your hex editor. Copy the header (the first 83 (0x53) bytes as seen above) and save them for later. Copy and save the VPK (starting at offset 0x53 with "vpk0") into a new file. The full VPK size can be found at offset 0x51. Keep in mind that this is written as little endian, which means if these two byte are "81 07" the actual size is 0x781 (from 0x53-0x7D3). The rest of the decoded card is just padding, you can ignore/delete it for now. You have saved the VPK into a new file, now decompress it with nevpk: nevpk.exe -i trainer.vpk -d -o trainer_decompressed.vpk Open the decompressed VPK in your hex editor. For trainers: navigate to offset 0xD50, that's where the actual trainer data (ECT) is located, it's 188 (0xBC) bytes. For berries: the data (ECB) is at offset 0x4EA, it's 530 (0x212) bytes. For trainers: replace the data from 0xD50-0xE0B with your custom trainer and save the file. For berries: replace the data from 0x4EA-0xA19 with your custom berry. Compress your edited VPK with nevpk: nevpk.exe -i mytrainer.vpk -c -o mytrainer_compressed.vpk Note the size of your new compressed VPK! Create a new file in your hex editor and paste the header you have saved earlier in step 3. Paste your compressed VPK right after the header at offset 0x53. Now fix the VPK size at 0x51 to match the new size. Remember to write it as little endian! Fix the size info at 0x26: in the image above the value is 0x020F0622 bit 9-23 is the same as your VPK size + 2 bits are counted from left to right starting with 0 the original VPK size is 0x781 + 2 = 0x783 or in bits 0000 0111 1000 0011 0x020F0622 in bits: 0000 0010 0000 1111 0000 0110 0010 0010 convert your new VPK size into bits replace the bits marked in red in the size info convert the size info value back into hexadecimal write it back to offset 0x26 Pad the card to a proper size of 2112 (0x840) bytes. You can fill the area after the VPK until 0x83F with FF. Fix the cards checksums by droping it on headerfix.exe and you are done! You are done! You can now encode your edited card back into a raw e-Card: nedcenc.exe -i custom.bin -e -o custom.raw You can use the dotcode printer from the devtools for printing, it can print dotcodes in raw or bmp format. Keep the DPI at 300, choose your card and your printer and print it! You could as well just convert your raw card into bmp (raw2bmp.exe -i card.raw -o card.bmp) and print that. So, I hope everything was clear enough, if there are still questions feel free to ask!
  2. Hey all, I wanted to update my trainer name and gender in my ancient Pokemon Crystal save. Went and edited my trainer card with my updated name and flipped my gender. Then I used the bulk update to change every Pokemon in my boxes and party with the change =OT_Name=Devin .OT_Name=Rachel .OT_Gender=1 And just to verify. TID is the same still and the names/gender match! Great! Exported and loaded back up on my Analogue Pocket. Player avatar and trainer card look right! However, when I flip to my pokémon stats, the OT now says "?" instead of my new name? Before this is used to read "Devin" (my old name) ofc. This is my legit pokémon I've had form the beginning of the game Also just tried saving the game and resetting but no dice. Did I miss a step? Is there a bug here? Thanks all for this wonderful utility.
  3. Hey all. New to posting here but having some issues I hope I can get some help with. When I generated a living dex using pkhex for gen 2 using a crystal save I managed to get everything generated as legal with the help of some pk files and some info about in game spawns. For some Pokémon I would generate a random trainer ID and give them the name GOLD or SILVER depending on what game they were made in. For others I simply made them met at level one as if I hatched them. Most of these have an issue where the trainer ID shows but the trainer name says “?” For some Pokémon, like Lugia and Ho-oh, I found a flag that said something along the lines of caught lugia/ho-oh and that fixed those two but the issue remains. To clarify, in PKHEX (made sure to update) the OT shows my name or GOLD/SILVER but in game it shows OT/ ? The trainer ID shows correctly, just the trainer name is wrong I tried the save on the VC and original cart versions of Pokémon crystal but the issue is identical. Any ideas?
  4. How does one change the text before and after a battle in Pokémon White 2? Also, is it possible to change the trainers' names?

Like Pokemon Red/Blue and Stadium 1/2/3, Pokemon Colosseum and XD have debug trainers used to test many things like New Forms of Deoxys in XD or Pokeballs in Colosseum. Pokemon they used are well ... totally WTF but that's just for debug
  6. I've been playing around with Pokemon Black the last few days trying to get the gym leaders Pokemon. Since I don't know the offset of the opponents Pokemon in the RAM during battle I decided to mess around with the AR code and try to modify it to catch the Pokemon that aren't in the first slot of the opponents team. Keep in mind that this is the code that I am using and where I put and 'X' is parts of that I've tried to modify. 521CBAAC 2F06D134 121CBAAC 0000E001 121CBAE6 00002001 121CBACC 00002000 D2000000 00000000 Changing these 4 values causes the code to no longer function as catch trainers Pokemon code 521CBAAC 2F06D134 121CXXXX 0000E001 121CBAE6 00002001 121CBACC 00002000 D2000000 00000000 Increasing the values of the code to higher values such as FFFF freezes the game, but low values such as 1000 or 0000 have no effect on the codes functionality 521CBAAC 2F06D134 121CBAAC 0000E001 121CBAE6 0000XXXX 121CBACC 0000XXXX D2000000 00000000 Changing these values to any value don't seem to have any effect on the functionality of the code 521CBAAC 2F06D134 121CBAAC 0000XXXX 121CXXXX 00002001 121CXXXX 00002000 D2000000 00000000 Lastly, removing these lines of code do not effect the functionality of the code 521CBAAC 2F06D134 121CBAAC 0000E001 XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX D2000000 00000000 So in the end just use this code that @Reisyukaku provided. 02002300 68006868 02002304 60012100 02002308 00004770 521CBAA4 F7EC6868 121CBAAA 0000F636 121CBAAC 0000FC29 D2000000 00000000
  7. Whenever I try to click on my trainer info, this comes up?
  8. I don't know if Im blind or skipped some update logs but Im 100% sure that this option was available few months ago. Im talking about [trade number] an [battles won number]. We can edit almost anything but those options are gone ... It was very important for me since I backup my save very frequently (last one was 3 months ago) and I make hundreds of trades weekly. And it looks super fake when numbers never go up (every time i import edited save it goes back to february)
  9. The codes below will insert a special Trainer into your game against who you can battle in the house with the locked room at Mossdeep City (south-east of the Pokemon Center). All the codes are to be used on the Action Replay v3/4 English Ruby/Sapphire (any version, v1.0/v1.1/v1.2) These codes are also working on other European and American language versions (English/French/German/Italian/Spanish) but introduction as well as win and lose phrases might be grammaticaly incorrect for some Trainers in non-English games. Japanese Ruby/Sapphire Remove Trainer data Ruby/Sapphire (ENG) 2210F546 4E758A05 3A8313FA 554F4427 Ruby/Sapphire (JAP) A63C0E19 C80ADDD1 3A8313FA 554F4427 Master Codes I won't port any of the above codes to Emerald or FireRed/LeafGreen. They won't work properly since Trainer sprites have different indexes in Emerald and in EU/US versions the Trainer names also have the same restrictions as in Japanese versions (only 5 characters allowed). If you want to port these codes or make your own feel free to do so! 10. After a lot of experimentation I found out if u change the last six 0's underneath the 'give all accessories' button you will be given one of the many accessories you can choose from when making a trainer PR Video (http://www.serebii.net/xy/prvideo.shtml). I was attempting to experiment until I could get my character to have the 'whiskers' on both cheeks but it's been taking so long plus it stopped giving me accesories all together between 18-22~ which is when I gave up. So I was wondering has anyone figured out which numbers equal which accessory when putting it into pkhex?
  11. I've ravaged the internet looking for an answer to this question, but apparently google is worthless. When I generate a pokemon migrated from say... Platinum to Black 2, should the summary say "Sinnoh, Apparently arrived at lv100" or "Sinnoh, Arrived at lv100"?? If it's the second one, then does that mean the OT changes? Thanks in advance
  12. For example, say I edit all my pokemon saves so that the Trainer ID in every save is "12345" and the Secret ID in every save is "54321" If I trade pokemon back and forth between versions, will the games recognize all of MY pokemon as MINE regardless of on which version they originated? Of course I wont use those numbers, and my name will be the same in all the games, so this should work right? Like on the pokemon it will say "OT:Name" "ID No. 12345" and not shown will be "SID No. 54321" so can anyone confirm if this actually works, or if it is just theoretical? Thanks
  13. Hello, I'm trying to find a way to remove the trainer animations that appear when you enter a battle, and they only appear in BW2. I'm trying to remove them because I can't edit the front trainer sprites through BWSE without the animation getting in the way. I've seen other people do this but I don't have the slightest idea how you do it. As for the Flying sprites, I know where they are located but I don't know how to import them. I'm using Tinke v0.9.0.0. When I show textures on file 58 in narc 1/1/6 I can find the male flying sprites and am able to export the but I don't know how to import them. If you know how do these things it would be a huge help to me.
  14. Hi, my question is where are located the trainer's flags?? I've search in the individual files from the a056.narc but i can't find anything to relate then to the trainers... I know the code to uncheck a flag is 24 00 XX XX and the code to check 23 00 XX XX pls help
  15. Can Anybody Tell me how to edit trainer pokemon and items we find in Black 2 Please Tell Me And Thank You in Advance!
  16. How can I program a rematch with each trainer in a determined area?? Without AR. Like talking to a person from area 1 and reset the flags of all the trainers from the area 2 i know a have to use the 24 00 XX XX to reset a flag but i dont know the flag for trainers, i know too the code for a battle but i just want to reset some trainers flag pls help
  17. Okay refine my original post, does anyone know an easier way to make the Trainer Sprites in BW2 become Static? I heard that one was was to do it through ASM hacking and change the system for the sprites to be static, but I also seen that someone was able to import the Missingno animation files to the selected Trainer's animation files. I been trying to tackle this the entire evening last night and all day today and I don't seem to be getting much progress. At the same time, trying to learn how to add more Trainers without replacing existing ones, but I'll get to that later, right now I just wanna learn how to add static sprites with ease, since RubyCarbuncle was able to pull off for most of his Custom Trainer Battle Hack videos in BW2, I wanna know how he did it. The sooner I can learn how to do this, the better so I can move onto the next part of hacking BW2.
  18. Okay I know, I know, I seem to be getting annoying by asking for so much help, remember this is my first time doing Gen V hacking. I figured before I jump into doing BW2, I start small and easy and do sprite replacements in Pokemon White and doing baby steps, starting with sprites then go into script editing. First, I decided to replace Alder with my OC. I was successful in replacing his Trainer Sprite, so I did right on that. Now I am trying to do Mugshot editing. This is where I don't understand. My character's Mugshot was made into 16 colors, indexed using Gimp, I followed the BW/BW2 General FAQ on doing that part. I did the normal method of Mugshot replacement, using BWME, checked to make sure the palettes showed up correctly in BWME. I reinserted the NARC back into the ROM, go to test it. After Alder does his speech, the game goes into battle, and then it freezes on the white transition screen with the music continue to play. I then go and use the Image and Palette Replacement method using Tinke, followed that mini tutorial correctly, repacked the NARC into the ROM, go into trying it again, same exact thing happens, game freezes before the mugshots show up. I have no idea what I am doing wrong, I checked using GIMP and Photoshop, both of them say my Mugshot has 16 colors, I had the mugshot 128x128 like the mugshots seen in Tinke, still nothing works. What exactly am I doing wrong that causes the game to lock up before the battle can even begin? EDIT: Okay I long since figured this out, someone can just close this thread.
  19. Hi guys. I used pokesav for HGSS on my HG rom to transfer my boxes from Platinum. The issue is, that I saved and when I got ingame, the trainer now have the name "????". Is there an AR to rename it or to get back to the old name? I'm using WinXP SP3, a DSTT 1.17a07 and the Pokesav compact v0.03a Thanks in advice.
  20. Is There a Trainer Editor For GSC?????? I Really Badly Need One For My GSC Rom Hack (Crystal Rom) Pokemon Crystal 251. I Need It To Make Level's Higher And Moves Change And Pokemon. Please Help Me Find One!
  21. It's come to my attention that many people requesting PKMN do not have their own Names and various ID's. So I've decided to help get people their own info. What do I mean? I'd start my game over from the beginning naming my trainer after the name you give. Then I would find the Secret ID and send you the info, like so... Trainer Name: ID: SID: I know many people want their PKMN to obey them from an early lvl, but many people I see do not know their SID when they request nor care, so I figured this service would help. I have PKMN Diamond, Platinum and Soul Silver. (Will be getting a Pearl to use soon from a friend) So if anyone has those games and needs trainer info they can't make for themselves just drop a post below. Please post if you want the trainer to be a Boy or Girl too.
  22. Hello everyone. I'm pretty sure this belongs here. If not, I apologise, and would appreciate it if a moderator could move this so I could get some assistance. Thank you, and sorry if that's the case. Anywhooo. I was wondering if there was a specific code I needed in order to find out my secret trainer ID. Thank you. Here is a Bidoof. Enjoy. :bidoof:
  23. well they finally opened pokecharms card maker back up, and ive made my own card with it. the problem is that when you finish it, it doesnt take you to a page where the card has its own URL. when i use the edit signature option, the only way to get it on there is to enter the cards exclusice URL (which it doesnt have) ive seenplenty of you users with your pokecharms cards on it, so i was wondering how YOU got it on there. heeelllp... btw, it says you can post it to their servers, but i cant find the link to do that. is that the problem? youll have to post it to me.
  24. Ok so this thread is quite like the "Guess that pokemon" thread. You describe a trainer and then others have to guess it. The person who firsts guesses correctly the trainer or person then they get to describe the next person. I'll start. -He has a pikachu -He is in a legend about spiritomb -He was seen in a pokemon episode -The legend about spiritomb took place 500 years ago -using his pikachu he imprisoned spiritomb in the odd keystone
  25. I have a Dialga on diamond lv.80 and I just realised that it has the best nature (Modest-exra grouth in special attack) AND it's Mischivious!!!!! (IVs are 31 in special attack!) so it has a special attack nature, and IVs of 31 in special attack! (thats one powerful roar of time!). Here's the problem, I CAN'T EV TRAIN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I need to put it back to lv.47, wipe out its EVs, and get rid of all it's ribons so it is a perfet fresh caught Dialga again...I know you can do that with Trainer editor but how do you use it? can some one help me with this Dialga? (P.S It's in a premierball! cool huh?)
