Hello all! I hope I am asking my question in the right spot, this is actually the first forum I have ever posted on. I have been trying sprite editing for the first time ever. Been trying to edit Pokemon Platinum and this site has been a huge help. All the tools and advice really top notch and even mostly still work on Windows 10. But what I have not been able to find is how to edit that darn little sprite that shows up over that black bar when you use a HM move in the overworld and pulls the ball out of his pocket. I'll use a HM with my edited sprite, the black bar will zoom in, and the sprite i am looking to edit show up over top the black bar. Then if I use fly it will still be that sprite until he puts the ball back into his pocket. There was a sprite that looked exactly like him in the mmodel.narc that I tried editing by exporting/reinserting with the BTX Editor but this little jerk is still the lucas sprite. I have used Nitro Explorer and Tinke to look all over the other narc files in the rom but cannot find any hint of where he is. This is the last big thing I want to edit and I hope someone in here may know how to do this. Thanks!

Hello, I tried to edit my Magearna from the recent event and I keep getting this error message for its legality: Invalid Relearn Move 1: Static encounter relearn move mismatch. I don't know how to fix this, please help.

Hello everyone, I've been using PkHex for a while now, but with the new Pokebank Update that came out, I seem to be running into a problem. I have a Zekrom with me that is legal on all aspects except for this Invalid Geolocation Memories tick. Could anyone explain to me what I am doing wrong, or what I need to do to fix this error? I tried clearing the Geolocation memories in the memories tab, but as soon as I go to check the legality, it says the same error and puts back the Geolocation credentials. He only gets morning sun in the dream world as far as I know, but I can't get it to work with any of the encounter info I've set up so far. I tried using the TLW save manager to backup a save, gen pokemon, then restore it. I did this twice, on two different games (black, white2). When i opened both after restoring, they would load in but only with a black screen nothing else. Im not changing the name of the save at all. I believe im doing everything required, as I've been told by another genner. Any ideas? If you dont have a clue why thats happening, what do you suggest i get so that I can gen in Generation 5 games via pkhex?

I believe Sheer Force Lanodrus can be obtained via Dream Radar. However, I have been unable to get one to work via PkHEX. If someone has a Sheer Force Landorus that works, would you please send? Thank you

I want to edit the female hero's sprite that shows up on the trainer card. I already edited back sprites and mugshot sprites. I couldnt find any tutorials so im asking for help.

I'm just wondering so I don't have any problems with my game. Can you bring illegal Pokemon into the Battle Tree or Battle Royal? e.g. Shedinja w/ Sturdy, Alolan Muk w/ Air Balloon + Wonder Guard.

So, I've been having this problem for a while now, and from various searches online, I have either concluded that a) I am horrible at troubleshooting, b) I screwed up my pc somehow, or c) this problem isn't very common. I use emulators to play some of the earlier pokemon games- anything before gen 6 I only play on Desmume or VBA, and sometimes I use pokegen whenever I want to train a pokemon, like riolu, which I either don't get in the game, or don't obtain until later on, or if I want to play fanmade games like pokemon Storm Silver. Now, whenever I load up a gen 4 game- be it the gen 2 remakes or the D/P/Pt, it loads up my save states perfectly fine, and I can edit as I please, but the second I hit save, it suddenly shuts down on its own, and doesn't save my data. For some reason, this doesn't happen on Gen 5 games. I've tried redownloading pokegen, redownloading the roms, even repatching the gen 4 fangames, but nothing seems to work. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, can someone please offer some advice?

Hey! I have been struggling a bit with the friendship on pkhex. When I try to trade the Pokemon after editing, its Happiness resets to base. I know that this is normal but is there way to keep it max happiness for the person who receives the Pokemon as well?

Thanks to my n3DS being handily updated to 11.2 by my friend last month, my 3DS is running completely stock and I'm not able to do the stuff I want to, but that's another topic. I ran into a shiny Mimikyu, and it has the worst possible nature you could have on a Mimikyu, which is nice. I was wondering whether anyone here would be able to switch it for me using PKHeX? I tried to use today them to inject a wondercard that I still don't have (Volcanion) and a few pokes, but the links are not working anymore.

After I install homebrew in the 3DS, where I can find a guide to inject pokemon (I prefer use this method over edit my file, but I'm not sure is this posible), I understand that to play a gen VII game is neccesary to update to the latest firmware for 3DS, but the 3DS with homebrew/Custom firmware this will not create a problem? With the custom firmware I can create a backup of my gamefile to check in pkhex? and last after I inject something in the game, is there a problem to use the game in a unaltered 3DS? (Specifically a new 3DS)

I read is not possible to use the web browser injection in Gen VII, and that is must be done through homebrew (I'm not sure this is the way to inject now, I'm a little late in news about this), but what is necessary to use homebrew? Is possible with a old 3DS (Firmware version: 9.5.0-22U) ?

sorry im new to this ,hope its in the right area , i am getting sun and moon and am interested in using this hex program so i can get shinies cause i have never been able to obtain one and or some extra money in game . only for my personal amusement as i dont really do the online competitive part of pokemon. i tried looking up tutorial videos on how to do this hex program and homebrew .and the video said i need a program or game called cubic ninja to make pk hex and home brew work? does this cubic ninja cost money and is it easy to use? i have the new nintendo 3ds if that makes a difference on software version 11.2

This is how I do my current injections to Alpha Sapphire as I have an old 3DS XL that I haven't updated to avoid this method from being patched, it's a bit ancient but it's how I like to do it. What I'm simply asking is will this still work as long for Sun & Moon? I'll be buying the cartridge version of either one, not the digital release.
