  1. No, we don’t know, as there are tons of emulators out there, with multiple revisions. It would be insane to think anyone knows for a specific model and revision. And frankly, it isn’t our ‘job’ to know, so I hope you understand where we’re coming from. :3 For all intents and purposes, as long as PKHeX don’t scream at you, assume it’s probably okay.
  2. What you said sounds reasonable. Probably not CFW, but rather an issue with the device's contacts. Well, if the device can play the game, then should be able to dump the save. I recommend getting a backup of your save, just in case the cart fails on any device
  3. You could try injecting the save back into the ROM, then inject the edited ROM back into the game. Take halves of the saves dumped and hex edit them Into the address given by the program. Make sure you keep an unedited backup. Use at your own risk.
  4. That’s not really a giant deal, just half the doubled save It comes back to the hardware that can flash carts. Do you have such a thing?
  5. So just to be clear: - can any device (3DS, NDS) even boot it and play the game? This question includes any weird configuration you may have to do, like cleaning the pins, placing a coin or paper to make the contacts closer to the cart (Won’t recommend any, at your own risk). If you do anything and got it to play, should tell us that too - if the device can play the cart, does it load back the old save? I’m under the impression the cart won’t even launch, devices won’t read it.
  6. No. Injection isn’t so easy. Requires a tool that gives you access of some kind for modifying the cart’s ROM (cause for bootleg Pokémon carts, the save is stored in the ROM) Start reading from here: It appears something called GB Operator may work, but given the condition of the world and how it’s affecting global shipping, I’ve not ordered one to try.
  7. Alright then. I’ll see if I can whip something up later.
  8. There’s no data beyond species value that shows its “identity” in this scenario.
  9. Wait for PKHeX to update, then use one from the encounter database.
  10. Gen 3 “Saves” have 2 blocks, a main Save block and a backup save block. So if the game tries to load the main Save, and the checksum is invalid, it’ll read the backup save. So it didn’t repair anything, it just has to load the second half of the save. It just seems that mGBA save size setting is wrong or something, so it only load one half. Still, glad to hear it works
  11. It’s possible their friendship and/or contest stats were modified as a “marker” of some sorts. While these stats are thoroughly possible to obtain in-game, it does raise an eyebrow.
  12. Just convert it to wc5 via hex editing. You said you know how to do that right? Or are you saying you can’t?
  13. Maybe clear your cache or something. I literally just checked on the go for you.
  14. If you can view these in PKHeX, and proceed to export them, you should be able to directly restore them into a legitimate game.. unless it’s not as legitimate as you think they are
  15. Just change the species down? It’s not something super sophisticated, since you don’t have to worry about memories and HT Name etc. literally manipulate one value.
  16. Out of curiosity, did you ever use the poke transfer lab to connect to this copy of Platinum?
  17. Receive your starter, receive the Pokedex, interact with the PC, then save the game a few times in game, before exporting it and trying it again.
  18. Do you have CFW on your Switch?
  19. without any kind of future development in the saves hacking department for the 3DS Gen 7 games (which seems unlikely at this point), that encrypted save is as good as junk. Just to double confirm, it is not from a Cart copy of Ultra Moon right?
  20. Hey no need to be sorry. Nah, the received hours/date is stored in the save. Only a record of receiving the gift is stored in the save. Changing that record won't make it redeemable in-game tho. Also, nah, if I'm not mistaken the meta is merely information the BCAT uses, and we won't need it for anything. Well, just to be clear, if you wanna modify the records, it's gonna be save editing. While PKHeX can view the date/time under their block editor, I don't think you can edit them just yet. (there's no plugin to edit them right now as well) I would say any date/time is likely fine, since it follow's Switch's date/time, not server's date/time. I'm under the impression you're referring to meta editing, and no, that's not what I'm referring to. The 'record' that effectively shows that you've performed the act of receiving the gift, is stored in the save. Like if you go view the Mystery Gift album now, you should see a few entries (if you've received gifts before) But it's just a record, nothing else. There's no editor for that yet.
  21. change the TID/SID combo.
  22. Little update on this issue; the changes are instead Event constants: 188: changed to 1 246: changed to 6 Then add the item to your bag and you can go get Arceus. (https://discord.com/channels/343093766477053953/631819428882808833/959235028280303637) To change them: Then Save. So for example, to change Event Constant 188: Remember to hit save at the end.
  23. If I’m not mistaken it’s possible btt it very very iffy? in any case just play on your Wii just to get past the roadblock.
  24. Typically getting the starter, gaining access to the PC, getting the Pokédex. Just check at each point (Also, I clearly don't know the checkpoints in Ranch)
