  1. ^ That and it doesn't say Black/White (2), it says Black (2)/White (2), a distinction that should make the purpose obvious.

    Pokedex

Because that's how they designed it. There's nothing missing in PokeGen.

I need to clarify something first. What are you basing this statement on?

Unless something has changed, both releases of Black/White have all languages enabled on all Pokemon from Victini upward. There is no individual language setting for them. Edit: I checked just to be sure. There's no new data in the save file for these language flags, so I have to be right. (Or they put the data in a separate block, which would be unlike anything else they've done.)
  6. That implies that there's something wrong outside of the scope of PokeGen, but I don't know. Are you even seeing a dialog prior to the crash? Can you show any more of the information in the crash dialog? I don't remember what else is in that list. (Unless what you pasted IS all that's there.) Edit: Supposedly that StackHash issue is related to Data Execution Prevention. I just turned that on and it's still not crashing for me, so I don't know what your problem is. Edit 2: More searching suggests that DEP may not have anything to do with it, and that it may be related to hardware errors. I'm curious as to whether or not you've seen this issue with other software.
  7. Is there a PokeGen.dmp file in the same directory as the executable?

    Next major feature

This MIGHT be coming with 4.0. That's not happening. It's too much work. Some features to aid in this could show up at some point, but I wouldn't expect them for 4.0.

  10. If you're experiencing save state problems or language switching problems with 3.1.10, redownload it. It's been updated with a workaround for the save states for now, and a fix for the language switching problem. A new version wasn't possible this time due to upcoming changes.
  11. I just wanted to post again and say that I reuploaded 3.1.10 with a fix to this change, as there were some other issues as well.
  12. I reuploaded 3.1.10 with some changes that should allow all of you in this thread to do what you need. Save states will always be flagged as "unable to determine" now and you'll have to specifically choose the game/language to load it with. This'll be made better in 4.0.
  13. It's a save state, not a save file, correct?
  14. It'll be taken care of in 4.0, but that won't be for at least 2 months.
  15. Weird, I don't know how that happened. I can probably provide an update later today. Check back in this post. Edit: The language does actually change to what you selected just before the crash, and remains that way when reopened, so I'm not going to bother with an update for this problem until 4.0. (Which will be about 2 months from now.)
  16. I don't understand. Did you not type that correctly? "I'm getting crashes, BUT it shows stuff"... that's contradicting.
  17. Sorry, I am going to need the save state. The crash dump isn't useful due to the screwup I made with the 3.1.10 release.
  18. I'll need you to upload the save state. Edit: Actually, upload PokeGen.dmp, which is created in the same folder the exe is in.
  19. Yes, as I said, all of these could be coincidental, and I'm certainly capable of thinking of reasons why you did all of these things. That's not what I was after. I was after a more direct statement that you aren't thinking "Hmm, I wonder how I should put this on the dialog... let me see what PokeGen does." while designing the layout of your program. Not that I have any reason to believe you, but it's better than nothing.
  20. Let's see what non-standard things I can point out that I feel are fairly unique to PokeGen that also exist in your program, and could be done differently. Two "save" entries in the file menu. (As in one specifically related to Pokemon data and one specifically related to save files.) Escape sequences with no preceding x or 0x to indicate hexadecimal. Referring to the Pokemon with the word "species", which I don't think is that common, and is more of my own personal preference. Toggleable options in a menu by themselves, rather than a dialog. Using the text "Black (2)/White (2)"... come on... you really did that on your own? A list of version changes in the program, rather than external. I can't deny that all of these things really can be coincidental. I'm just skeptical of that. If you're really not using PokeGen as a reference, then just ignore my posts. Otherwise, at least admit to it. (And come up with more uniqueness, while you're at it.)
  21. I think you need to copy PokeGen more. You haven't enough yet.
  22. While I think the term "target game" in this case is very clear, the fact that the code generator has a separate selection is kind of confusing and maybe pointless. I'm planning on removing that if it makes sense in 4.0.
  23. D20 is Black 2/White 2. As I said. Target game.
