  1. Apparently you don't seem to comprehend that the individual packet that contains the Pokemon data could be modified prior to being relayed to the 3DS. That's all it takes, it's no more complicated than that.
  2. If he were talking about the Pokemon data checksum, rather than the packet hash value, he wouldn't have said: Then again, I'm assuming someone has the slightest bit of intelligence, which is almost always not the best thing to do.
  3. The "checksum" has absolutely nothing to do with Pokemon data.
  4. I didn't notice that the client was also sending its certificate. Documentation I had read didn't indicate that there was some key alongside the certificate, rather than contained within. There must be something, as there's no way simply having both certificates is all it takes... that's just too easy.
  5. The games have a certificate as well. I won't pretend that I understand TLS fully, but I highly doubt it's the same thing. This is also assuming what you just linked is from the TLS server that X/Y use.
  6. Unless the TLS certificate is obtained (and I don't know if that's even enough by itself), nobody is going to be making fake GTS servers. I'm not sure if the GTS itself is encrypted with TLS, but the initial connection to Nintendo servers that the game requires you to go through is.
  7. You'll be regretting saying that if you look into it any further.
  8. The only reason I'm aware of that PokeGen might crash (aside from the language issue, if Mat hasn't fixed that) is the use of save states, since that code was rushed in and is sort of complicated.
  9. As everyone should know by now, the new games are currently unable to be modified in terms of codes/save files. It seems that it'll be quite a while before this becomes possible, assuming anyone ever succeeds at solving the problem. I'm no longer maintaining PokeGen as is, and certainly won't be updating it should modification of the games become possible. Bond697/Mat may choose to do this if that time comes. Let this be your definitive answer to the possibility of an update for X/Y. -Edit by Bond697---- At some point in the future, gen 6 pkm files or something like that will probably be editable and able to be sent to games via Pokecheck or something. Given the encryption used for saves and ROMs, editing those is unlikely.
  10. What's the language of the game you're doing this with?
  11. It's in PokeGen. This is probably another case of user error as (almost) always.
  12. I'm a little skeptical of this. My first thought is that you're looking for something the games don't have themselves. If you could go to www.unicodemap.org and find the character and paste it here, that would help.
  13. For the ignorant involved... dragging a file onto an exe is exactly the same as associating a file extension with an exe. Considering the former works with PokeGen, the latter does as well. If you're implying that PokeGen should automatically register .pkm files with Windows, that's rather invasive, and something that takes NO effort for the user to do themselves.
  14. I thought that's what Desmume called what's actually called "Export Backup Memory". If the file used was .dsv file, I don't know what fucked it up unless there are bullshit codes being used that do things that shouldn't be done.
  15. Why are you using a "battery file" when the .dsv that Desmume produces is usable in PokeGen...? Where do you people come up with this stuff?
  16. If someone's using Desmume, there is literally nothing extra that needs to be done once you save in-game...
  17. Correction, "PGT" files are the result of a Japanese developer's ignorance and serve no actual purpose. It makes less sense in Shitsav because it pretends that they're actually something worthwhile. Nice try though, evandixon.
  18. Pokemon "work" even if their souls aren't validated by a website. That's how.
  19. Ok, please, enlighten me as to what editing a card provides to someone. (Excluding the very rare case where someone is trying to modify a distribution cartridge, because, you know, there are so many people doing this.) As for the stuff regarding the UI, I have no interest in discussing any of this. My comment before wasn't about whether or not it looks good or bad. It was about the fact that it could be done the way it is because editing isn't necessary or useful, except to people who don't know what they're doing. (You know, idiots.) Also, PokeGen's design should make it pretty obvious that I was never catering to the masses that're so stupid that they don't even understand how Windows works after using it for years. They deserve to have a hard time.
  20. Funny how you didn't have that comment in the past. It was thrown together with the idea that editing cards is completely pointless except for idiots. So if you think PokeGen is missing something......... hmm.
  21. It's amazing how little everyone knows after all this time. PID and OT ID are both equally involved in shininess determination, evandixon. You can exclusively modify the PID to make your Pokemon shiny. There's never any NEED to modify the trainer information. If you're one of the morons who care about your data matching game-generated data, then there are some cases where you won't be able to match the PID properly.
  22. I didn't miss any point: You just don't know how to figure something fairly simple out, like everyone else. You can't use someone else's work to claim intelligence in this case, sorry.
  23. Double post just to help make Kaphotics look stupid because of all the bs I've seen him do. Flammedas, you didn't set the Options > Target game to "Black/White" before generating the code. The one you generated is for Black 2/White 2. PokeGen isn't doing anything wrong.
  24. ...what? Are you both incapable of switching the target game like everyone else? Granted, it might be confusing because the code generator game list still shows all 4 games for generation 5 regardless, but that list is actually useless for generation 5. The target game controls it all.
