  1. EVENTUALLY any OS will become too outdated, but this isn't the case yet. If Mat wants to stop supporting it, that's up to him, though.
  2. Not having support doesn't mean there aren't a lot of people using it still. (As ridiculous as that is.)
  3. PokeGen doesn't use .NET BS. There are no library requirements, nor are there any optional DLL requirements. Every Windows installation has what's needed. Someone has mentioned before that their firewall has caused problems, because by default, PokeGen checks for updates before the main window is even displayed.
  4. There's no reason whatsoever to do so, so no.

The program is no longer maintained by me, so it's not as if this was just ignored. Mat doesn't exactly have the same feel for what needed to be done as I did, nor can he be expected to.
  6. Which isn't Mat's fault, it's mine, although not really a fault. The paid version was going to require a manual update.
  7. This is an update I thought might end up happening, and sure enough, it did. Things have changed for me and I no longer feel it's worthwhile to do with PokeGen what I had planned. That is, I no longer intend to charge for it. As a result, I'm also no longer going to be updating the program. That's not saying that it's over. Mat has the source code for 3.1.10 and will be able to continue it. As far as I know, he plans on doing so. The source code will not be made public, don't ask. I've reopened this thread, although I'm not sure what there is to say.
  8. U and V would actually be genuinely clever (texture coordinates used in 3D graphics), but most people wouldn't get that. X and Y obviously don't even relate solely to 3D graphics, so it sort of sucks. I guess you can think of it as "this is a major change to full 3D, hence a coordinate system change, let's use coordinates!".
  9. Look up information regarding how to properly obtain a usable save file from No$GBA.
  10. People can only guess unless you upload the save file someone to look at.
  11. It's even easier to just view the data on your starter Pokemon...

  13. I haven't played their game, so I don't know much about it. Are you asking for copying FROM PokeGen to paste elsewhere? Or to paste TO PokeGen from somewhere? Is this done on a website or in-game? A link to the web page or screenshots would be helpful. I'm not saying I'm going to do it, but I definitely can't do anything without information.
  14. If you're actually typing (and seeing text as you type) in the item dialog, and it does what you say, you're not entering a valid item name.

...what are you trying to ask?
  16. There's no way any specific image could screw something up. As for what DID happen, I don't know. I suspect it's not PokeGen's fault. It's probably something simple and obvious like trying to use a file ending in ".sav" as a Desmume save file. (Which the emulator doesn't look for.)
  17. PokeGen will not generate "bugged" Pokemon. You can, however, use the wrong game settings and write data to places it shouldn't be, thus causing the appearance of "bugged" Pokemon, among other seemingly random issues. Be sure the target game is set to the game you're wanting and there's nothing to worry about. (Unless you're using Mystery Gift codes, in which case you also need to ensure that the code generator game/language also matches.)
  18. PokeGen only turns everything into bad eggs if YOU'RE a bad egg. Future posts like this will be deleted. There are PLENTY of VERY clear resources around the internet explaining exactly what you have to do since it's apparently too hard for some people to look at available options and determine their meanings.
  19. For those reading, this was discussed on IRC and no evidence was found to suggest that PokeGen was the problem.
  20. Can you provide a screenshot or a link to information showing that such a thing even exists in the Pokemon summary...? I've never seen or heard of this. Yes, the "nature" line exists in the trainer card, but I have no idea what's making you say that it's stored in Pokemon data somewhere.
  21. Did you even touch the Pokedex dialog? And are you ABSOLUTELY sure you didn't? Are you ABSOLUTELY sure that the Pokedex data was fine JUST before you started using PokeGen? There's too much for me to assume that you did or didn't do, and this information is rarely given accurately. I doubt there's something wrong with PokeGen, it's more likely that you did something and forgot, or did something that you didn't understand the consequences of. Possibly something not even from PokeGen.
  22. The only way I'll look into it is if it turns out to be something relevant to new additions to PokeGen. I've got too much to do to spend time fixing unrelated problems with that program that I can't stand to begin with.
  23. I can't give you an answer at the moment, nor can I provide any information on the problem.

Yes, I know you'd prefer to do it in Spanish, but that's not possible right now, and can't be fixed for a while. You should have no problems with Kyurem if the language is set to English. I'm not.
