  1. I wish I could read that well.
  2. You're presumably, like at least one other person that's posted about this problem, using hardware that mutilates the save file unlike the actual DS/cartridge and emulators. The checksums in the save file are wrong.
  3. This isn't PokeGen's fault. I don't care enough to figure out what you're doing wrong with other software.

    [NA] Pokegen 3.0b23

That's what you're doing wrong. PokeGen doesn't support, and never will, the concept of save files being a means to store a bunch of Pokemon in a single file. It's that simple. Whether or not using it for this purpose works is irrelevant as it's not supported nor designed for.

    [NA] Pokegen 3.0b23

You might try reading my 2nd to last post in this thread.
  6. This has been fixed in beta 27.
  7. A change was made to beta 27 to alleviate some of the problem with the save file issue described here. Whether or not this was the right change, I don't know. (I think the hardware was at fault here, not PokeGen.)
  8. 3.0.0b27 FIXED: The right click menu for Pokémon slots wasn't being updated with new strings when the program language was changed. (Found by Tomxc.) FIXED: Loading a save file would result in the box count not updating properly. (Found by Moral.) FIXED: Clicking an entry in a combo box wasn't working. (Found by jasterj.) FIXED: Pokémon data wasn't being written to the save file properly when Pokémon were moved around via "Send to" or by dragging/deleting. (Found by Mechadream.) FIXED: Using "Send to" in the icon right click menu to send a Pokémon to the currently visible box would cause the box icon to not update. CHANGED: The program has a new icon with a higher resolution available. (Thanks to Tomxc.) CHANGED: Less of the Black/White save files is checked upon loading. This may result in save files not being properly identified as generation 4/5 again, so please report any issues. (Change made as a result of Djinn's report.) I also fixed the download files having old language files in them. I'm not sure why nobody pointed that out.
  9. If you can provide a save file and exact instructions on what you're doing that produces the problem, that's the only particularly useful information. This is, of course, if the problem is consistently happening. Edit: Perhaps not. You're correct, there is an issue here, and I know exactly what it is. A recent change was made to prevent all Pokemon from being processed by PokeGen if they weren't edited. The way it's coded, it doesn't flag Pokemon that've been moved around. I also don't think I made it copy the flag that indicates that one has been edited, so editing, then moving, might not produce the expected result. I apologize for not giving the report more thought initially. I'll probably release a new version soon to fix the annoying combo box selection bug and this, as they're both pretty significant toward usability.
  10. I can pretty safely say that you're just managing to do something wrong here.
  11. I don't understand how you're asking these questions. The Pokedex editor within PokeGen very, VERY clearly allows you to do what you want, and you've obviously seen it for yourself.
  12. That button operates based on the Pokemon that're currently loaded into the program, whether it be ones you've manually added or ones that're loaded from a save file. It won't magically detect Pokemon in a save file that hasn't been loaded.
  13. The file also has invalid checksums, apparently. There's an option in PokeGen to ignore them. I'd really like to know why this file is so mangled.
  14. That program lists offsets only in hexadecimal. What I posted was not hexadecimal.
  15. Then no, you didn't.
  16. This save file has data written in a place that (I think) is supposed to be filled out with 0 or 0xFF. Why it got that way, I don't know, but all this random hardware seems to love doing things differently. I can remove the check for that region of data for the next version, as I don't think it's really necessary anyway. For now, filling offsets 996 through 1023 with 0 or 0xFF will allow it to work. If this changes something in-game related to your PC boxes, let me know.
  17. You claim this as a bug, yet you're not even providing the save file for verification of that claim? I don't know what you expect me to do.
  18. If you downloaded it from the link provided here, the problem wasn't from PokeGen.
  19. Aside from someone with the expertise looking through the program thoroughly, you don't have any guarantee that it isn't malicious. All you can do is take my word for it and the fact that there have never been any reports of anything negative from it. (Excluding the occasional bugs that cause undesired effects on Pokemon data.) As a side note, the new update system has the potential to trigger antivirus software alerts. The system creates a second, temporary exe when it's updated, which might get treated like virus-like activity. This is done because software can't overwrite itself while the copy is still running. Therefore a second copy is necessary in order to overwrite the original.
  20. You need to limit it to 10 characters if you want it to display normally in most cases.
  21. Your download is obviously incomplete or garbled for some reason.

    Translations

Translations other than the 6 that already exist aren't possible without a substantial change in the code right now. It's not worth it to me.

    PokeGen Icon Design

This'll be in the next release.
  24. The chance of you happening to have a "browser problem" that specifically affected its ability to recognize and display a link is so ridiculously low that it quite clearly shows you just don't want to admit you failed. I find it quite pathetic that you can actually come here and post like that. People like you are the reason I have so little interest in keeping this project going. You think you're entitled to it. You don't stop to consider the sheer amount of time that's been put into it for almost no gain. It didn't have to be done. Show some gratitude, especially when not only did you get the program for free, you got helped for a simple problem that was your fault to begin with. Disgusting.
  25. If you had any idea how many PMs I get as if my life revolves around helping people do things they're either too stupid to do or could simply search and figure out for themselves, you wouldn't have the slightest bit of confusion as to where my irritation comes from. Not to mention people that post here doing the same thing that I have to infract and delete the thread for.
