    1) there is no IV/PID relation, if it has one it is indicative of a generated one. 2) correct, the egg PV is set in one RNG, and the IVs are set through another after inheritance. 3) pretty much. 4) see 1, there shouldn't be a relation. Having a 32^6 chance of getting that IVPID relation is WAY too low to be "legit". 5) If you can't get the egg PID on a reasonable frame (IE below 4000 eggs) on a particular seed, it's probably hacked. Checking this is so laborious nobody does it. 6) They aren't generated the same way. There might be a relation this generation as the PID and IV inheritance is generated from the same process, as opposed to IV+Inheritance last gen. As Codr said, it's OCD.

    nope, their uses are online (you gotta look) for eggs just find a random PID that suits your needs, make it flawless IVs, and throw whatever moves on it

    The algorithm is not public for XD/Colosseum. It might appear in the new Black and White RNG Reporter, but until then it's impossible to make a legal Any legal egg PID is fine with any IVs.

    well yeah if it's hatched it shouldn't have a method 1 IVPID, so just pick a valid egg PID for your breloom and throw whatever IVs

    Save Issues Desmume: To use your old saves with this translations in this emulator try the following: Make sure the .sav file name is the same as the .nds If it's still in Japanese, in-game go to Options and change 'Button Mode(5th option down)' read the intro posts next time.

    if it's an egg there is no IVPID relation, get a legal egg PID from RNG Reporter and throw whatever IVs you want on it.

    Well, then it is an invalid save type. Probably file size or extention. Are you sure it is 512KB .sav ? If not convert it to the correct type.

    Actually, I just tested to see if there is a shiny check for PDW Pokemon you meet in High Link to catch. They can't be shiny. If they are shiny, the PID is (in hex) Generated PID (Happens to be Shiny)+0x10000000 to make it unshiny. So a shiny PID is XOR'd with 0x10000000 to make it unshiny. There are no shiny Pokemon from PDW catchable via High Link. imagez

    Oh, so you actually have to catch them in your game? Guess they can be shiny... I'ma see if I can get my hands on a save state to RNG a shiny one for theory tests

    You can talk to me on IRC on how to do it, or you can watch Kazo's RNG video as to how. Emu>Cart by far. Plus without Emu you won't have RNG on carts

    Until someone here/reputable gets a shiny I'd be skeptical of any "shiny". I remember back in the early gen 4 days when people were claiming to have LEGIT SHINY EIGAKAN DARKRAI, when there is a shiny check for Mystery Gift Generated PIDs. Pokewalker Pokemon could not be shiny. Since this is another externally acquired Pokemon it could possibly follow similar lines of IV/N/PID generation as was for Pokewalker Pokemon due to "delay" and "initial seeds" still existing this generation.

    I'm fairly certain there will be 3 different cards, all looking the same except for different Pokemon inside the eggs (with different moves ofc). Just by looking at the card it will just display the egg sprite, as cards can give eggs. Nothing in Pokemon is truly "random", it's only "random enough" at best Distribution will probably be based off of (m)any of the following: OT/ID combination, download time, account name/ID (if thats how you'd get it), and/or IP.     because you should always have one pokemon in slot 1, having only a slot 2 means you have 2 pokemon in your party, the first being Missingno with blank hex.

    Yep, we used to think that all cards would look the same, some of these cards we have yet to see may be like: 0x60-0x7F Card Title 0x80-0xA9 Padding - No more Card Descriptions - Depends on Card Title Length The cards have 01 FF 01 after the text for the exclamations, and then FF FF, so there's no extra data. Changing the "padding" to all exclamations is a super long card title with no difference in the card description. Unless there is some character that acts as a line break to insert text into the card description, no movie names.

    If they've been taken down they were incorrect (illegal/hacked) files/cards. idk if it would get updated/posted if a "legit" one even was uploaded to the forums/PM since gen 4 is technically over.

    These are all edited cards with just the 0xB2 edited, with different values than the first picture (to kinda map them out). I'm guessing the card description leads into/is after the location based on 0xB2, and the actual Movie cards would have their own lead in text because of different movie names (the rise of darkrai etc)
