  1. Doing that would be very difficult, but could theoretically only yield th encrypted save and the ROM ID. It would still take work to decrypt, re-encrypt, and rehash the save, because all that's done server side, with no known way to use it on custom edited saves.
  2. Welcome to the forums, Magnamon!
  3. You don't have to use another program to make a PID. The ones PKHeX can currently make work fine. Only very picky legality checkers can tell it's hacked. While it may be cool for PKHeX to make it exactly like it came from another game, it's not necessary.
  4. Not for the time being. No one seems to know how to fix the AES MAC hashes.
  5. I've seen conflicting information for monster.md, so I've lost interest in it. I may revisit it when I have more time. In the mean time, I might make an editor for item_p.bin (as described in this spreadsheet). Quickly looking at the SIR0 format, it seems to be 4 bytes of header, 4 bytes of a start index (maybe), and 4 bytes of the end offset. The next 4 bytes are usually if not always all 0. The data at the end I'd guess it garbage, but after removing it from various BALANCE files (ensuring all removed data was after the apparent end index), this happened when starting a new game (attached). Also I picked up money (the strange icon on the floor) and see it in my inventory, and got the message about how it was the world's currency. I could throw it too. Then the game crashed when using a regular attack. The data at the end appears to be garbage but is apparently significant. Maybe it helps when spacing files in the ROM's file system or something.
  6. It works! The latest version of kaoutil works nicely! I've attached the latest version of Sky Editor that uses it, and a screenshot showing that my indexed png works. Now it's time for me to find another thing to do. Maybe looking into monster.md that TruePikachu researched. Edit: to get sky editor working, you'll need to create the directory Resources/Plugins/RomEditor/Current, since I fixed a bug with it after uploading Sky Editor 12-31-14.zip
  7. Using bitmaps, I've successfully inserted the grin image... except the image was converted to 4bpp using Paint, so it was in grayscale. But the grayscale was shown how I expected it to be. I'm still having trouble encoding the image as 4bpp. FreeImageApi doesn't work with it for some reason, and gimp won't export as a 4bpp bitmap (lowest is a 16 bit bitmap with 16 colors in the pallete).
  8. If that's the case, it's possible the author of the video used a tool similar to this to get the models for the characters, and used some kind of animation software to animate them. Note that this isn't my expertise, so I'm really just guessing.
  9. Unfortunately, not for the time being.
  10. Try this: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?26325-Pokemon-Black-2-White-2-Pokestar-Pokemon-Enabler&highlight=pokestar
  11. It's possible the checksum is similar to that of Mystery Dungeon games.http://projectpokemon.org/wiki/Pokemon_Mystery_Dungeon_Explorers_of_Sky_Save_Structure

  17. Using this version of Sky Editor that has your tool integrated into it, I turn 0002_GRIN.png [the first attachment] into an indexed PNG [the second attachment], only 16 colors, using the exact version of Gimp as you are, and have the same problem. Because it works for you, I think it's either something weird with the original image I have, or maybe something off with the integration with ppmd_kaoutil (seems less likely). Any ideas?
  18. I think I've fixed the issue. Please try this experimental version of Sky Editor to see if everything works now. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2722532/Sky%20Editor%2012-21-14.zip To use it, use File -> Open -> Open (Let me Choose Game), and select the European version of Red/Blue Rescue Team. For the time being, it only supports editing Pokémon, but I think I can support more things in the future. All Mystery Dungeon games have a checksum to help determine data integrity. It's basically a sum of all of the byes. For some reason, in the European game, the checksum is 1 less than it would be in a North American game. That, and some offsets are slightly different.
  19. They're hosted on the front page of the site.
  20. You'll need to quicksave in the dojo and edit the Quicksave Pokémon. Sky JEditor can do that for the time being, but I plan on adding the same feature eventually.
  21. I haven't figured out how to encode the image properly or something. What program did you use to encode your portrait image you inserted?
  22. It's recommended to insert the relevant wonder card instead of trying to make the Pokémon from scratch. I also moved this thread to Save Editing Help, as it's more about that than PKHeX as a program.

  24. You should try DSATM. It encodes ARDS codes as part of the ROM, which would be very useful for a code that is required to play the game. http://filetrip.net/nds-downloads/utilities/download-dsatm-5-1-f31528.html
  25. Because PKHeX has its own forum now, all future feature requests and bug reports should go in their own threads. (Sorry for closing the thread so soon after you posted, Destinyy, but I'm sure Kaphotics will see your feature request )
