  1. Hello everyone, I'm theSLAYER, your events moderator and forum manager here! First of all, I'll like to thank everyone for their past contributions and co-operation thus far! Foreword My hopes aside, I expect SWSH's events to be similar to LGPE, namely being non-injectable. As there are distributions for items and clothings/outfits, our contribution system would slightly differ from previous generations. Please please please read the entire section below, especially before you redeem your gift. How to contribute We need both of these: 1. Data that contains the event Provide a before redemption save and after redemption save (you could upload it here or PM it to me) [You're gonna need a modified/hacked Switch in order to extract the saves] or Alternatively, you may PM me and donate to us the serial code, if it's a items or clothings/outfits event. [Do note that with this, I will not be able to return you the code] 2. Details relating to the event If possible provide as much of below as possible: Pictures of the event location, the distribution device etc (if it's a local distribution) Photo/screengrab of receiving screen Serial code card (you can blank out the last 12 digits of the code; we only need the prefix, and a nice look at the card)
  2. That's odd. Does that byte happen to be used for detection? At least if a similar issue were to happen in the future, we could link back to this page. edit: I couldn't replicate on my own save. Wrote 0x0C (the value on OP's save) to the same location as above, and it didn't trigger the error on my own save. Also, for OP's save, values such as 0x0D and 0x10 triggers the error, but 0xFF doesn't. Also copied the whole row to my own save, and it didn't trigger the error. I'm giving up for now
  3. @Kaphotics in the meantime, any idea what caused this? : x Well to be fair, the error message said it was something related to Trainer Gender, so when that edit failed (0x3E3D according to PKHeX save offsets), I copied an entire trainer save block (offset 0x2009, size 0xB7A according to PKHeX documentation), then kept halving the block until I found the byte XD
  4. It's not. "Time not set" saves load fine on PKHeX. Maybe your save was corrupted by cheats or something. I don't really know test.sav Use ^ save instead. It has literally minimal edits. No idea what the byte I changed represents (I know it's somewhere in the trainer block, but that is about it), but I found that location via trial and error. (I zeroed out that value, cause that value is zero on my own save)
  5. Hey, in the future, there is no reason to PM me, since it's all out in public. Me or other people who see it may or may not get to it. [For example, if it was a PKHeX issue, I would not have been able to help] (For the record, I was working on editing your save. I just haven't replied to this thread as it wasn't working yet) While the error message appears to be related to Trainer Gender, editing that value didn't seem to resolve the issue. As such, I copied all the trainer data from a working save and replaced yours. I changed the TID and OT back to yours, but I'm unsure what else was changed from my copy to yours. Pokemon - Crystal Version - Copy.sav edit: Do you have a previous copy of the save or save state that worked on PKHeX?
  6. Upload the file that triggers the message.
  7. One of the location drops you right outside the Volcano
  8. The disc + GC RNG can only generate a total of 65536 unique PIDs for Jirachi, if I'm not mistaken. Read this: That's frankly not too far off from standard shiny rates of 8/65536 of Gen III anyway XD
  9. Bluestacks, spoof location, clear app cache to redeem again. (The amount of codes aren't locked to PTC account; it's merely locked in app cache) I've got redemption steps here, but obviously change the location to a GameStop instead of Target.
  10. ^ that. however before you do that, you may wanna capture a save state first.
  11. Given that you intend for this thread to be about documentation of details from within the game, including game/story text, encounter tables etc, I’m shifting this to the research section.
  12. Ah, my bad. Tho, why not just change the details of the trainer of the save, as opposed to batch editing. It's all your prerogative tho, just listing another option. Well, can't exactly fault other people for not giving you a response, since it's something you could have easily checked tho, either through running simple tests, or checking online resources. In any case, you've gotten what you've asked for, so I'll proceed to lock this thread before I have to deal with any more snark XD (friendly prod)
  13. why not just complete the game? Once you become champion, all the Pokémon belonging to your friend would obey you anyway... Anyway for purposes of "obedience", matching TID, SID, OT name and OT gender is enough.
  14. I agree, but there's always gonna be people who don't care. I imagine that people without accounts also just grab a code and go. It's kinda why I'm not posting huge amounts at a go. In any case, here's another 50.
  15. There were differences between both events tho. Japan's Mewtwo was centered around the Mewtwo from the movie. OT -> Professor (reference to Professor Fuji), moves appear to match the movie (Psychic, Shadow Ball, Barrier, Calm Mind), Set Nature. EU's Mewtwo while similar in most aspects, it was slightly different: OT -> Giovanni, moves appeared to be Level Up moves (Amnesia, Psychic, Teleport, Recover), Nature unset. I'm wondering whether it'll be an exact copy of the EU one (including WC ID), or it'll bear a different TID and WC ID.
  16. Players who visit Best Buy stores in US between November 4th to 14th, 2019, can receive a serial code via the app Pokémon Pass. Given that distributions in Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee are region-free, it is not known if this is the exact same event as another Mewtwo previously distributed. 17. Starting from November 15th, 2019, players can visit Pokémon Centers in Japan to obtain a Mystery Gift containing ingredients that can be used for cooking curry in Sword & Shield's Pokémon Camp. There are 6 different types of items, and players can collect a different one everyday, per in-life Pokémon Center visit. The site also specifies that the player needs to download the latest Pokémon Sword & Shield update before visiting the Pokémon Center in real life. 18. Another Sword & Shield event has been announced! Starting from November 15th, 2019, players will receive a serial code to either Pikachu or Eevee when they visit Pokémon Centers in Japan during the player's birthday month. Proper proof of your birthday will be required. Interestingly, the official site mentioned that players need to download the latest update before visiting Pokémon Center. It was not clarified whether it was to be Switch Update or Game update. The end date for this round of birthday distribution was not stated. 19. Hey, these come straight from Pokémon Pass. It'll work for Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
  20. No. The ball doesn't store any Pokémon. It's just a trick they do to make you think one is stored. Anyway, if you don't have a hacked Switch, you can't make any save modifications. Go request for one to be traded to you.
  21. Here's another 50.
  22. Between Oct 26 to Nov 9, 2019, players that spend 700 yen in participating 7-Elevens in Japan (using the 7-Eleven app), they can enter themselves into a lucky draw for a chance to win serial codes for Shiny Solgaleo or Shiny Lunala. Entry period is between Oct 26 to Nov 16, 2019. There are 2 million codes to be won. Each code only gives player one Shiny Solgaleo (M UM) or one Shiny Lunala (S US), depending on which game it was redeemed on. Results will be published on Nov 17, codes is planned to be sent out around mid-December, and announced serial code expiry date is February 3rd, 2020. First reported on: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemontrades/comments/dlr42s/japan_shiny_solgaleo_lunala_distribution/ Original Japanese source: https://web.archive.org/web/20191023020736/https://www.sej.co.jp/cmp/fair1911/app_goods.html (also, first official art for these shinies hmmm?)
  23. If you're asking on how you can obtain a code personally, you can get codes from visiting EB games (Canada) or digital code from Pokémon Pass (US). If you want to use the code Sabresite provided.. then your question doesn't matter, since that code can immediately used in the games >< I'm confused, are the codes Sabresite provide (in his post) all used up? ><
  24. No method of sending your own Mystery Gift over WiFi from PC works for Gen 6 and 7, at least not publicly. As for Gen 5, such a tool from PC probably exists, but I'm not sure frankly. Anyhow, you could just use PKSM or PKHeX to inject wondercards. Or receive events (Gen 4 & 5) by connecting to someone's server via the "DNS exploit" AFAIK no. If such methods exist, I imagine people would be happily trading between their emulators and DS.
