  2. Hehe, ill do this one since the team looks cool. Nothing fancy you say? hohoho i disagree! Thats actually a very well thought of lead mah friend. Poor Aero loses out to bulky leads like swampert and gliscor......which are a huge pain the butt later on. I think, since most always attack you rather than setting up SR means you can forgo Taunt for something else. But i cant find anything else more useful so i think Taunt will help stop mono setuppers. Toxic cuts their life span in half and makes the seemingly defenseless aero a real team player before it goes down. Metagross and ScarfJirachi leads are actually the ONLY pain here if you ask me. You cant hurt other aero leads so thats a slight problem. Crobat is not that common. Overall id say its an Excellent lead which im gonna try out for sure . No problem here, standard Breloom set and still recovers health equal to leftovers in the sand so its all good. Hmm, i dont think a set with both Sub AND Curse is gonna last long. With sub you need to attack more...and with setup you need a quick healing move. If the opponent keeps up the pressure, your tar is gonna go down quick. I strongly suggest you switch it to either the TyraniBoah or the Standard curse restalk tyranitar set with CRUNCH rather than Payback so you dont lose too much PP. Boah can be more helpful since it can work during any point in the game. Its a great wall breaker and can lure and remove things like Lucario, Scizor and Gliscor from your way so your scizor can do some sweeping. This set is better for the current case imo Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/28 Spd/224 SAtk Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Substitute - Focus Punch - Flamethrower - Ice Beam The special attack investment gives you some real power to take out skarmory ,bronzong, jirachi and metagross. Ice beam ohkos Gliscor and 2hkos Hippowdon with ease. Does quite a lot to flyers who cant really do much back to this beast. Focus punch will easily ohko blissey, snorlax and other tars. You laugh at heatran. 28 speed EVs allow you to beat blisseys that only put a single point in their speed by one point......or none so you out pace them by two points and can get the sub up on their face. With all the support your providing it i think its safe to go on the heavy offensive rather than setting up and falling flat on your face. If you want it to be more defensive and a great late game finisher youd be better off with Cursetar with CURSE, REST, SLEEP TALK and CRUNCH. The EVs your allready running will do nicely. Allright another relatively good set. I think you might wanna Max out Vappys defenses as well, since it cant take the ridiculously powered hits. Switch Ice beam, since the dragons will deal too heavy a hit for vappy to recover.....and it doesnt even have a recovery move....that too in a sandstom...seriously? Switch Yawn for Wish and Ice beam for HP Electric. HP Elec works way better and makes a fine gyara counter. Spore is allready present so if you play Breloom right your gonna get a poke to sleep no problem. Vappy really needs all the health it can get =/. You merely jest! Surely this isnt your FIRST time using Scizor the "oh most used pokemon of all". Yeah yeah its a good poke and fits into any team with ease. Pursuit is still usefull for taking out choice locked psychics and non choice locked ones as well. Its even more needed since tar isnt using a Dark type move if you run Boah. Yes yes there are many lovers and haters of scizor out there. My opinion? I dont really mind it since anything i can counter....i usually like it, but since Zor is everywhere its a pretty bland and boring pokemon. Yeah it works pretty well. You cant hope to get the screens up everytime...what with all the scizors running around.... phat chance. The screens would help your Original tar set, sure, but you need LOADS of time to set the whole thing up. Im Surprised how LO Gengar is giving you troubles. Bullet bunch will take it out swiftly since you know its gonna stay in. The sand is NOT doing anything here. You dont have Toxic on something bulky (though that toxic aero lead is absolutely ridiculous:eek:) so theres nothing that can use it well and stall things out. Vaporeon will die off really soon. Whoa im doing the weakness and threats section after all THAT! Gyara gyara gyara!!! After a single DD its unstoppable. Aero CANNOT stop it even if its alive. Water attacks destroy everything, ice takes out breloom and vaporeon cant heal or hit it back hard enough. HP electric and wish solves that. Bulky waters will give quite a lotta trouble. CroCune will be a pain since you cannot phaze it out. Other vaporeon and starmies will also take this entire team down if breloom is down.....Starmie doesnt even care about breloom. Classic mence will rip this team apart. Switching in, roosting off SR damage and maiming stuff with Draco Meteor. Tar dies to Brick break with ease, Flamethrower kills breloom and scizor. Overall a good team. The boah i suggested can help against Dragons better but its up to you.

  6. Well basically Scizor can come in on most of Latias' moves and do bad things to her. If its the CM variant and you try to switch your still gonna get Pursuited. If the opponent predicts right and you stay in hes gonna BP you for the ohko or just U turn out after taking a move which wont ohko scizor. So there isnt really anything that your CM latias could do that the scarf variant couldnt =/. Surf will mostly 2hko so your opponent will have to guess and i think will make the right choice by Bullet punching latias to death. As for the heatran trying to stop Gyara and sally......its a long shot. They can switch in to Earth power for free. You could taunt gyara sure....but not sally. And theres always the chance of the gyara being jolly D: . On the subject of damage, i dont think it will do 50%, its gonna do more like 40%. That and seeing as they might switch for free makes you very very vulnarable. But Meta is always there to handle both things so i still think theres not much to worry. Boy am i partial to my Meta :3
  7. OK what i see here is a GIGANTIC Lucario weakness. Yes, i know theres no real chance for it to actually setup on you with everyone having offenses but you wanna ask yourself what would happen if it DID set up on you. Sudden chances may arise for it to setup on you if one of your pokes is asleep and then luke enters. Or if parahax kicked in then its basically game over. It CAN SETUP ON LATIAS AS SURF WILL LEAVE IT WITH ENOUGH HP TO SWEEP. LO heatran also doesnt help as it gives away the fact that your definitely not using the scarftran. I think you might already be doing this but ill just say it if you were not, keep Jirachi alive for as long as possible. The only way you stop luke is by paralysing it with Twave. The only real way you counter luke AFTER a SD is to bring in salamence and sacrifice it to kill luke. But if salamence dies early on and jirachi dies early on, Luke will run through this whole team no problem. And of course Luke has the horrible tendency to come late in the game and turn it around. The Rotom forms will have a ball with this team. They are capable of sweeping right through it in the late game when everything is worn down. But i guess you'll sacrifice one of your pokes in order to hit it with a really powerful move to OHKO early on in the game, but just watch out. Your Heatran is actually the weak link here >_<. Gyara and Sally (salamence) actually LOVE coming in on trans to stop him. Due to the fact that you dont run Explosion for HP grass (for swampy of course), both arent gonna be stopped by heatran. Once either one gets a boost, especially sally, its lights out. The both resist/are immune to all the moves that heatran has. Salamence will take very less damage from Heatrans fire blast and will take lol damage from HP grass. Gyara takes even lesser damage from FB than sally and even lesser from HP grass. These things are way too dangerous to be left with boosts. I suggest you scarf your latias as it will deal with the Sally and Gyara threat rather nicely. Although metagross can come in after gyara DDs and if it doesnt have EQ meta can Tpunch it to death after survivng any kind of hit. Sally to a lesser extent since you have to lock it in to outrage before you do the setting up. If not Scarflatias you should definitely scarf your tran. He makes a great luke and rotom counter. A single scarf poke doesnt hurt you know =/. Kingdra can still take care of the swampy if not anything else.
  8. Happy Birthday Michael Jackson! The King of Pop will always live on in our hearts. His music touched the lives of countless people. May God send him to Heaven :'-)
  9. Happy Birthday Satoshi Tajiri. Pokemon rules!

  11. OMG ROFL . This part made me lol really hard. Freakin epic! post some moar please:biggrin:
  12. Garchomp is great for sweeping right off the bat. With its 102 base speed stat it will outspeed most things that dont have boosts or dont have a higher base speed. After a Swords Dance, chomp was basically unstoppable especially if your counters were down. Salamence needs a dragon dance boost to sweep. After that its only stopped by high priority moves unlike Garchomp who has higher bulk than even swampert and wont be taken down by ANYTHING except ice shard. Scizors CB bullet punch can take out 70% out off a salamence so SR+ sand or LO recoil=death. They are still 2 different pokes as randomspot said. I like them both very much..........it'll be upto your own preference who you pick. Though in this case i picked garchomp for his higher coverage through STAB attacks and basically higher sweeping capabilities.
  13. I went for the first option. Its gonna be easier for all of the members to view the articles and guides written by the mentors if they are on the forums. If everyone is given a separate mentor, the availability problem will always be there, they may have work to do and cant make it to the server. There would definitely not be as many mentors as there are members in need so the second option is pretty much impossible........unless not many users actually WANT one. Having a forum section for everyone to see and also as a general guide would be more convenient for everyone. Of course we could include both these options cause if someone needed 1 on 1 mentoring then they should get it. Id be happy to be a mentor. To make things a bit easier...... Im great at making balanced teams and some unexpected stall teams. I believe Shogun Ryu would be the best to teach about the offensive style of teams because i know hes really good at that. We could write the articles with some more feedback from the admins and mods. If needed we could help people out separately. The team raters should also be doing their part in writing detailed articles about the different styles of teams. We could discuss it out amongst ourselves and decide.
  14. Uh....yeah ill look out for those kinds of ads and report them to a mod/admin here. Still......i couldnt help but laugh at the first post. PLEASE KEEP EM AWAY FROM TEH KIDS!! D:
  15. Hiya Memjee! I would call you Mr. Mono-Team but there was another user who was crazy about mono teams and had about 8 teams all of different types so ill spare you . Welcome to the Forums
  16. Im absolutely loving my name in GOLD. This theme is very well polished The Fallen great job. The whole thing fits the monitor perfectly unlike the Soul Silver theme. The nav bar is really sweet. Youve fit a lotta stuff in the Quick links tab that had their own tab in earlier themes but once you know thats where to find it, it feels very compact and easy to access. Only thing is the letters could be more brighter in the black background. I was having a hard time reading the text but i got used to it fairly quickly. New people viewing the forums might find it hard to read stuff but thats the ONLY prob with this theme.
  17. The pictures are sweet and the scizor set is also very sweet. Weaknesses weaknesses.......my specialty. First off, Gyarados and Salamence will give this team a very hard time. Gyarados is only stopped by Rotom who is screwed over by Pursuit and is reliant on Reflect and WoW. Only Swampert stops Salamence and its 4x weakness to grass means a random grass move on the switch will free Sally to sweep the whole team. Tentacruel wants to stop MixApe and is the only thing that WILL. The rest are gonna get swept. DD Tar is gonna sweep this team to next week. Swampert can only Roar it out if not being 2hkoed with crunch before that. Scizor is not reliable to finish Tar off without any boost OR max atk. Tar will then proceed to OHKO Rotom, Tentacruel, Ape, 2hko zong while it only fights back with confuse ray. I doubt scizor will even be able to 2hko tar with Bullet punch unless you intend on taking a hit and then using sub or brick break. SD Lucario will completely run through this team without being stopped or revenge killed. Rotom has no speed EVs which your opponent will find out once he sees the Reflect or WoW. Luke will then ohko with +2 crunch and proceed to sweep. HP Grass Zapdos will take out FOUR of your pokes. Rotom really cant do anything to it other than getting paralyses while using Discharge. With Zappy having roost and if there isnt any paralyses then Zappy is gonna win against Rotom. Fortunately, NONE of the pokes are Scizor weak. Actually they all resist bullet punch . Bronzong likes both atk moves, but its up to personal preference. Change fire punch on Ape to Flare Blitz. Yes the recoil is a real turn off but with Apes power, and the high power of the move with stab will over power things that resist it even. Tentacruels will take 40-50% damage and has a chance to ko with SR damage. With Fire punch you wont even be ohkoing standard metagross or bronzong. Ohko on Jirachi also has low chances whereas Flare blitz will finish off all of them in one clean hit. Hopefully, swagger doesnt work against you. Giving your opponent confusion YES but the +2 in atk that comes with it is the reason its not a move people would consider using. Due to having no revenge killers, critical hits will ruin you completely. Losing one important counter to a crit means your team is swept. Ill get back to this team and the changes it needs after a while. Pointing out weaknesses for me is a cinch but actually changing pokes is as always hard to decide and time consuming.
  18. The team is VERY frail. Jolt has high sp.def and Machamp is good on both but the others are frail on both sides. 2 Pokes are pursuit and sucker punch weak while 2 have 4x weaknesses. Baton Pass teams are gonna have a field day with your team. With no phazers or walls or tanks...... hoooh......stopping other boosting sweepers is gonna be really tough. Offensive teams will have trouble AGAINST this team but balanced and stall teams are gonna have few. I willll come back to this team after a while.
  19. Hahaha i was sooo glad i had my Luke when i was battling this team. It made it as easy as possible for me. Slaking is the glue that holds this team together but is also the reason why people will out predict you with ease. Its not a bad team but since its a mono team, theres obviously a common weakness in all the pokes and the weakness is ,unfortunately, one of the most used attack type of them all.....Fighting DX. Since the common fighting weakness is gonna screw over ALL of your pokes, you cannot switch in on any fighting attacks. You have to sacrifice one of your pokes and then switch in either Togekiss, Slaking or Ambipom to finish that fighting type off quick only to see your opponent switching and repeating the same process over again. I dont know if i could really even rate this team cause im against mono type teams completely.
  20. Why must you torture me like this wraith?! D: You know i like both of them very much and cant see one becoming better than the other. I honestly have to have both of them together cuase they are 2 very very different pokemon. Ho-oh is an offensive beast with an insane move pool while Lugia is a defensive pillar of greatness and also sports an awesome move pool. I have always caught either both of them or neither of them in the games i have played. In 2nd gen i was unaware about the EVs and IVs and stuff and was only playing on the basis of type advantages and move pools. I was astounded by both of their vast move pools. Both being able to learn EQ was a shock to me as they were the only birds that could do that. Ho-oh could learn solar beam which i used a lot along with sunny day to hammer the water types. Lugia learned Hydro pump at level 44 in silver and due to that i thought it was better as it could beat ho-oh with it. hehe i wasnt right in thinking so obviously, cause both have 154 sp.def and Lugia didnt have the best of sp.atk. The 2 were so powerful i could easily beat the entire E4 in silver with just 1 of them. I tried out with both and they had little trouble destroying the league single handedly.
  21. Aight, You have a huge Infernape, Tyranitar, Salamence, Gyarados and Zapdos weakness. Nothing can switch in on them and threaten them except cressilia who will Twave. Only problem.....cressilia is pursuit weak and will be dying to explosions. Once cressilia is gone, your at the mercy of those powerful sweepers. If your opponent finds out about heatran, he'll just predict the switch in next time and use Close combat with Infernape rather than a fire attack to ohko. You yourself only have heatran to counter enemy heatrans. The enemy trans can and will go through your scizor, breloom and 2hko both cressilia and togekiss most of the time with SR damage. Your lead is not really doing anything special. It sets up the sun to speed itself up, use a fast solar beam, helps cressilia heal 75% with moonlight and powers up heatrans fire attacks..........but you dont get any SR. For that matter no entry hazards at all. This is actually not helping with your huge Gyara and sally (salamence) weakness as they will keep switching in whenever they want without any penalties. They are SR weak so you should take advantage of it. If you still want sleep on your lead, use a Bronzong lead. It sets up SR and can use Hypnosis and even set up screens if needed. Tyranitars and Hippowdons presence doesnt really help you either. Its gonna stop the sunlight started instantly and make moonlight heal cressilia by only 25%. DD tar will completely destroy your team. Its gonna ohko togekiss with ease and ohko cressilia with SR damage after 1 DD. Due to your scizor not having high HP and not using CB, bullet punch wont ohko a tar even at 80% HP while tar will ohko with +1 stone edge. Breloom will have trouble stopping it if its already put something else to sleep. Heatran will go down to +1 aqua tail after SR damage or just be ohkoed by EQ. Zapdos will destroy scizor, togekiss, breloom and exeggutor. Again cressilia is the only thing that stops it. Togekiss and Scizor take too much time setting up. Your opponent wont be giving you free turns to get in 2 nasty plots or SDs. Blissey will wall togekiss and can either paralyse it or toxic stall it while togekiss will have a really hard time battling back. Cressilia is essentially the crux of this team. You rely on it to take hits and paralyze the above power house sweepers. Losing cressilia to random explosions from the likes of Metagross, Azelf, Heatran, Magnezone, Bronzong or critical hits will spell the end for your team. Then any of the above mentioned sweepers will come in and finish you off without any resistance. I cant tell you what to change on this team atm, as i dont have any more free time. These were all the weaknesses and problems your team has so you should watch out for them. I will tell you what to change as i get time.
  22. Hi there. Welcome to the Project Pokemon Forums. Im glad you know about battling on shoddy battle. Come to our server on shoddy battle and we would be happy to battle you. As always, enjoy yourself
  23. I said you got it from me because of the very fact that you didnt use it against me. I didnt know you were using it for ages so i thought you copied it from me. Yes, Im the one who uses Dual Status blissey, it was quite good and surprised people a lot. Shogun Ryu is a great friend of mine and he knew i used it so he recommended it to you. -__- well yes i lost the first match cause my weakest team wasnt ready for breloom. I think ill have to go full fledged on everyone i face on PP now wont i? As for the changes, i like them quite a lot. The swords dances will be put to practically the best use with taunting bulky gyarados having max speed. The new anti lead is great and all but YOU wont be putting SR on your opponents side. I say stick with swampert as your lead. Only, take out either Ice Punch or stone Edge for roar. You need a phazer on the team. Ice punch and Stone edge do pretty much the same thing. Id say keep ice punch for the dragons AND for flygon. Rotom-H or Flygon will handle enemy gyarados anyway. With your bulky Gyara now made more offensive, you wont need a spinner. Only if you ran the super bulky one would you need the rocks off the field for constant switch ins. Now your gyara may only need 1 maybe 2 switchins and then sweep. As for that Sp. attackers setting up on your sleeping gyara.........you had no answer save flygon for a Nasty plot ape with Close Combat. It would ravage through your team and it STILL can. Flygon is all that stops it. Flygon wont be doing too much with Fire punch im affraid. Scizor will ohko Flygon with a SD Bullet punch. Fire attacks are really needed in this team but only for taking out Scizor, Forry and Bronzong. Youd be better off with Fire Blast in that case. Still........ BE CAREFUL ABOUT THOSE 4x WEAKNESSES!! I know you think you can handle it but still, a good player will predict and hit you with the attack your weak too on the switch. Its not that hard to predict really <.< One hit is all they need to bring these pokes down.
  24. Uh.... this is gonna be a toughy. The very first thing i see is your Scizor which is passing attack boosts.......but i dont see anyone who could use those attack boosts right off the bat =/. No one has speed to utilize it. Flygon is scarfed which means EQ will miss when a Flying type or levitater switches in, Outrage makes you confused and allows steels like Metagross, Scizor (who will setup on you), Bronzong and Skarmory who will lay down entry hazards or in Zongs case finish you with a Gyro Ball. Gyarados already has DD and that bulk. SD passed to it doesnt mean it can sweep, you know. Gyara can set it self up if needed and not need to get another boost in atk and +1 in speed. Breloom doesnt care about the atk boosts since most counters will resist or be immune to Focus punch and finish breloom off quickly. I think you should just forgo baton pass for brick break or superpower, use x-scissor and make it the sweeper scizor with life orb. Passing is a surprise from scizor that no one expects these days, with all the Lucarios and Heatrans going around. Not to mention Magnezones who will cripple your zor even if it gets those boosts passed. You pass your boosts......but your opponent finds out that you didnt pass them to something usable. They beat the incoming pokemon and you look like a complete noob Trust me its the same thing i thought when you passed them in our match. A HUGE thing i noticed is that though your team has good synergy.......EVERY SINGLE POKE save Blissey HAS A 4 TIMES WEAKNESS!!! Bulk is essentially nothing if you can hit hard enough on the weakest part. Each and every one of them will perish to the 4 times weak move they get hit with, no matter what. Even a slight tap from those moves will be finishing you off. With some prediction, your opponent will have hardly any trouble finishing these guys off. Essentially, i say get rid of breloom. It does nothing to benefit your team other than what it does for any other team. Cheap as always. You have a huge weakness for the Dragon dance sweepers. DD Sala, Gyara and Tar will all pretty much kill this team. Swampert walls dragons sure, but it being a lead goes down rather early on in the match. Leaving you with no DD sally (Salamence, keep up with my pet names :3) counter. DD sally with a fire attack will finish off Zor and beat Loom even with Outrage. Gyara is the only thing that survives those powerful Outrages and it cant even do anything in return. It may even be a 2hko if you switched into SR while Sally DDs and then it 2hkos you. Flygon isnt maxed speed so dont get your hopes up about revenge killing with it. DD gyara will also be unstoppable. Flygon never ohkos with SE if gyara doesnt switch into SR and Tyranitar is powerful enough to survive your Gyaras and Flygons hits. It will do significant damage to Flygon with crunch and 2hko gyara with a SE and crunch combination. Zapdos is another issue. The only luck you have is the HP type it chooses. LOL youve given it 2 options. HP grass murders swampy and HP ice nails Flygon. Fortunately if he has the wrong move on the pokemon out, you can finish Zappy off with both Swampy and Flygon. Fortunately you have a Luke and Ape counter.......but i dont see YOUR scizor counter. Gyaras the only thing that can stop it and it already faces problems with a 4x weakness and SR weakness =(. Sleeping gyara also means a sp. attacker can set up on you. You have no breloom counter. Again gyara is too much relied upon. Breloom will spore you then seed you and then keep up the pressure with Focus punches that WILL hurt. Constant switchins to SR due to your opponents switching an advantageous pokemon on Gyara will also make its survivability scarce. Not to mention youll be sleeping half the time just trying to recover lost SR damage. Illithian is right in saying that you need a sp.attacker. The rotom-h form you mentioned is fine. Lukes, Zors and Gyaras will be kept at bay. Switch it with Flygon. DONT use the Tar lead. Its another 4x weakness and it has many more other weaknesses to boot. Swampert is just as fast as Tar and handles your dragon problem. Also, i see that the 2 blissey sets you mentioned are the ones you copied from me >=(. Dual status blissey was the one i fought you with and the counter version was the one before that =/. I remember beating this same team.
