  1. So with that new Alola Rotomdex advertisement/toy(or whatever it was) showing Cosmog at 387 and Marshadow at 402, (implying Cosmoem 388, Solgaleo 489, Lunala 490, Necrozma 400, Magearna 401), which only leaves room for 9 UBs in between. We now have 10 UBs, so either that Rotomdex thing is somehow incorrect, or there will be UBs after Marshadow. A new mythical is almost guaranteed at this point since we get one every single year and the Switch game won't be out until 2019/2020. Though I find it odd if they'd add just two new UBs before Marshadow, and one(or more) after. The possible scenario I can see here is that UB Adhesive is only seen used during the story by the URS, and not obtainable in-game, only to get distributed later on. Sort of like AZ's Floette, but actually being distributed this time. Either that, or a clustercrap of pokedex organization. Though that still has me thinking about the National Dex in general. Whether or not it will be in USUM this time(hopefully), but rather the NatDex in PokeBank. Will all three(or more) UBs be after Marshadow (803, 804, 805), or will they shift Necrozma, Magearna, and Marshadow upward to place the new UBs with the others? It seams a logical reason why there was no NatDex in SM (and PokeBank can easily be updated), but someone had said the TCG has Marshadow at 802, so I don't know if that'll actually be used in consideration with the new NatDex arrangement or not. I'm definitely very curious about all of this though. And I hope the NatDex is back in USUM, because filling the dex has always been my favorite part of post-game, and the 302 in SM was too easy, and if only 402 in USUM, that's only marginally better. Edit: I also noticed how UB Adhesive looks somewhat different from the other UBs, and actually resembles "pixie" mythicals in general.

  2. In a GSC save, it's possible for a Pokemon to be flagged for "Invalid: Individual EV without changing EXP cannot be greater than 25600." (the amount that a full set of vitamins would give) The same error message exists in RBY, and it's accurate within that sandbox, but GSC allows you to deposit a Pokemon in day care and immediately withdraw it, losing any partial progress it had toward the next level. Repeated use of this process allows you to (slowly, and expensively) build up EVs in situations where you can't afford to gain levels, most notably Little Cup or if you're trying for a certain tier of the Crystal Battle Tower, but just going back to its starting XP count doesn't mean there's anything illegal about it.

  3. So...while unsuccessfully looking for something I decided to go and complete this other thing I was doing a while ago, which allowed me to find out a couple of extra things: Aether Paradise's floors 1 and B1 actually have another variant each. While regular 1F's ID is 197, there's an identical map with the ID #198. The only difference is, as you might see, that this version's got a single NPC, whereas the regular version has this very same NPC among several others. As for the B1F, its map ID is 200, but there's an identical map with the ID 201. It's got several employees on it. I came across these two maps several times in the past while looking for other things, but never took the time to explore them a little bit. Now, as you might've already guessed, I've found out they're the variants used during the player's second visit to Aether. The employees in B1F can be interacted with, but I didn't manage to be able to rebattle them even with a rematch code. Another thing I found was a buggy Festival Plaza Map. It's most likely the real thing, but since I simply warped there and it's some sort of "special" map, it couldn't properly load. And there's the Festival Plaza castle as well:

  4. In order for this topic to remain open, two guidelines need to be met: Stay on topic Do not “double post” Formal warnings will be issued. This means: moving forward, posts will need to be approved before appearing on the forums; warning points will also be applied to your account; lastly, temporary/permanent bans may be issued. Is it worth it? For the most part, this thread has been cleaned up and it would be wonderful if it stays this way. Thank you and carry on.

  6. Introduction This is an adapted and alternate take on Coin Case glitch in Generation 2, as we would end up chaining a few of time, to get desired effects. Once you've set up the PC list of items, and create the required Pokemon for the glitch, it can be reused pretty easily. If you need any items, such as Pass to travel, just use this glitch to give yourself another one XD Basic Set-up for glitch A1. Set up your party: - Third slot is low level Pokemon with low attack IVs (glitch may fail if this is incorrect) - Fourth slot is Quagsire with Sleep Talk as First Move, holding Protein. - A Pokemon with Fly Example below is a typical set-up. Ignore statement about Red Gyarados > Egg for now.: A2. Set up these items in PC, in this order. I recommend to never touch the PC items ever again. Some of these items may be hard to get. If you need extra of a rare item, do the standard cloning glitch. If you need duplicate stacks of the item in the PC, deposit multiple stacks of x99, then withdraw the unneeded amount from each stack. Now you're all set-up! Performing the glitch: Well, it's pretty simple. B1. Fly to Cherrygrove (if you're not already there) B2. Rename Box 9 to the desired name (read: content page for specific glitches and effects!) B3. Save the game before leaving Pokemon Center B4. Enter the mart, then leave the mart, then go 4 steps to the right. B5. Open Pokedex, and go to "Cry" to listen to Bellsprout's Cry B6. Open Bag. Flip around pockets <- a must! Check Coin case. B7. At this point, if the game didn't crash, whatever desired effect has taken place! Table for Names and Code, for reference View full tutorial

This Magmortar is a Pokemon collected by inputing a special code in the Pokemon Battle Revolution game for Wii. You would then buy this from the shop as a Heated Gift for free. You could not find out that this was a Magmortar until you transferred the gift to your Diamond or Pearl game and received it. This is a .pkm file. I recommend using the fabulous Pkhex to inject this into your save file.

  8. Your Rayquaza seems to be illegal indeed. This Rayquaza was obtainable only in BW1. Yours says it's from Black 2. It was a Japan-only event, therefore, its language (but not necessarily its region, since it's a pre-G6 Mon) should be set to Japanese. PKHeX overlooks some things, so you should do a bit of research yourself in order to make sure your stuff is all right-- here, try this one. 384 - レックウザ - 96490E6203B3.pk7

  12. Well i'm back, but it's not something to detect clones, I already cleaned that. I had like 33k of Shiny files because of PkHeX and saves editors like that. With importing pokemon in recent gen but keeping it in the old gen, with backups of saves etc etc, I had too much clones. And I want 0 clones. I cleaned that already. But there's NO TOOL to have a simple move to saves in a Pokémon Box, Pokémon Ranch or Trigger's PC way. PkHeX for example, if you set a Pokemon from a file in a save, it'll STAY as a pokemon file, and it's getting crazy. Just a tool to move from save to save and from a folder WITHOUT any duplicate. I move a pokemon file on a save, it deletes it. You move a pokemon from a save to the box of the tool ? It deletes the file from the save and it stored. Really like Trigger's PC is working but universal gen. Pokecheck was helping me to avoid duplicates etc, but not user-friendly too. But better than what PkHex can offer (since it's not the first use of it of course)

  13. There has been something bothering me for a long time: there's no GB emulator with infrared link support. It is understandable, as not many titles use that function and even then it's a really minor feature and doesn't really hinder gameplay. For Gen 2 pokémon games the feature was really minor, but it still provides things that can currently only be obtained either via real hardware or emulating pokemon stadium 2 and the transfer pack. I would normally prefer IR emulation over savegame editing, but for the Gen 2 pokémon games we have something not available for other IR games: full disassemblies: https://github.com/PikalaxALT/pokegold https://github.com/pret/pokecrystal Since we have the disassemblies, we can know exactly how the IR connection works, which data is sent, which data is expected to be received and how the connection alters the savegame. I don't exactly know asm language, but someone who does could write a program that given two savegames from GSC as input simulates the IR connection between them. By simulating I mean mantaining the 5 trainers per day limit, same random chances to get each item/decoration, etc. I think it would be great to have such a program. At the very least if someone knows asm I would like him to tell me exactly what is changed in the savegame after the transfer, since while my ideal would be a simulator program, adding editing capabilities to pkhex would also be nice (decoration and the trainer house at viridian city). This is what I understand from the gift connection: - Randomly, item or decoration is selected with 50% chance. - Randomly, a slot is selected. It seems some slots are rarer than others (can't really understand the code). - Some trainer and party data is sent for the trainer house (I would need to know the data exactly) - OT ID is stored to prevent another transfer with the same trainer. - Trainer and party data is stored at trainer house. - Gift is stored to be received at pokemon center. This is my rough understanding of the disassembly, but I'm missing things for sure, so propper understanding of the process data-wise would be great if someone is able to provide it. ps: pokémon pikachu color apparently can always send gift, I suspect this is due to it sending ID 00000, but something else might be in place in the connection, like a direct skip of the 5 trainer a day limit.

  14. Created my account (Jason) back in July 2008 (PokeSav.org era), I was part of the Developers Team up until I left in June/July 2009. At the time I was creating an online PKM Viewer/Legality Checker and researching the data being sent to and from the GTS, so people could grab a PKM from the DB and trade it to their DS without having a flashcart/action replay.
