Calculate a sum for each of those areas, then sum those sums together to get the checksum and truncate it to be a 16 bit value. The sums of the single areas don't get written anywhere.2 points

If you read the title ,some people could lighten up. (I mean just not be so rawr,business-like.) They need a hug. A big hug. From me. You too! Do you agree? We do need to be professional but at the same time have heart and be kind in a way like we are all friends.1 point

@theSLAYER yes,but... People still seem too serious. By the way, I got mixed up. It was @HaxAras that said the "dude", not you. So, prove me wrong by being more happy? It would be a good idea... @evandixon EXACTLY! Project Pokemon NEEDS to "Touch the heart of people!" @evandixon I mean, it is true!1 point

@ajxpk, they also did not distribute old sea map to the US in gen 3. There have been quite a few irrational decisions. I think the justification in the past was resources vs size of target audience.1 point

Thanks for confirming the checksum calculation! Now to complete this: 0x1A58 is indeed the time played, but from the backup save. For the primary save it is at 0x204E. Player palette is at 0x2065. I'm not sure about the daylight savings, but it seems to be unused in the Korean games. Mom doesn't ask you about it.1 point

This should be correct, but confirmation would be good. 0x1A13 - 0x1C38 0x3DD8 - 0x3F79 0x106B - 0x1533 0x7E39 - 0x7E6A 0x1534 - 0x1A12 Checksum: 0x7E6B1 point

The egg moves are Pokemon are here. Stadium 2 trainer teams? Or simply just, Stadium trainer teams? Or Stadium 2 Debugger's Pokemon? Cool! I'll add this in a bit1 point

It's probably not that much effort to drop a guy in front of the door or somewhere to block access, that fixes Crystal up with very little effort. You do make a point with events though. The UK one was ultra limited. It was in one city, in the middle of the working week, for one night, where (i think 50) people had the chance of winning an invite online. So with those odd's we did pretty well for two different people who are on this site to actually attend and obtain the event. Most people will be oblivious it ever happened unless they read about it online. With that in mind i guess you could say only Japan really had a proper event, which does make me re-think how much Nintendo care for VC events sadly. I do still think it's quite possible for Crystal to get a release in the future though, as I really don't think it would be much effort to fix that up. However event wise you have made me re-think.1 point

You sure the event has never been done in the save file? Is it of your own, or did it belong to someone else? If anything, these event flags should be unchecked, depending on which version you're playing: Though I'm not sure if it'd change anything, have you tried using a WC that's the same region as your game?1 point

Uh, I think I might sound a bit too cold most of the time? People usually believes that due to my constant ellipses. While I don't directly use emojis, I try to use "xD" ":c" ":x", "._.", ".-." or exclamation marks to show some emotions. It's not like I'm some robot thing or whatever, I just feel the need to maintain certain seriousness when I'm not among my close friends.1 point

It's probably okay to express happiness and friendliness, as long as the post remains relevant. In other words, for more technical threads, the post must contribute to the discussion in some way or form. The happiness and friendliness can be part of the conversation, but that cannot be the sole purpose of the post. That being said, how people express their happiness and friendliness may be different, and can also be interpreted differently. I typically express more emotions towards events-related stuff, and I try to express friendliness with emojis1 point

Ok, I got the RAM offsets, thanks to a friend. When you are in a battle your team will be at the following offsets in MRAM. 0x47B100 0x47B18C 0x47B218 0x47B2A4 0x47B330 0x47B3BC - open Dolphin in debugger mode via command line with dolphin.exe -d - start a battle and choose 3 Pokemon, it doesn't matter which one the whole team is in RAM - on the left side of Dolphin's main window you will find buttons to dump RAM when you are in the debugger mode, dump MRAM - the dumped RAM will be in Dolphin\User\Dump\ram.raw - open that ram.raw file in HxD, go to the offsets I mentioned above and copy the 136 (0x88) bytes of the Pokemon to get them in BK4 file format (they are not encrypted) Unfortunately we have another problem here. PKHeX thinks the rental Pokemon are PK5 files when trying to load them. This might be caused by missing/blanked out data or something like that. EDIT: Yeah, sanity byte was missing..... Here are the defaut Rental Passes. Have fun! EDIT: I got the rest of them. They are indeed all in the save file from the beginning (starting at 0x23875). I should have checked that first, lol. PID, Gender, Nature, IVs (won't be higher then 6), Ability and TID/SID are random. Their language is always Japanese, I got them from a PAL copy which was set to English. Rental Passes.zip1 point
