  3. Since you modified one of the immutable values, HOME will know and will reject it if you try to move it back in. PKHeX does not know the HOME upload data, it only has the data from the sav/PKM. You can try manually transferring it back to Gen7 and then retry transferring to HOME until you get a satisfactory value, but that's something that HOME can potentially detect in the future (importing same values).
  4. Hi all, Hope you're well. I was just looking to see if there is any way at all to increase the size of my Pokémon Sun starter, an Incineroar. It deeply cherish it. But when I transferred it to Pokémon Violet, I noticed that it's size was too small compared to other Pokémon. As silly as it might sound, it's left me a bit upset. Is there any way at all that I'd be able to legally increase its size using PKHex? I know that the HOME tracker and discontinuation of the 3DS online connectivity are a bit of a nuisance, but I really am desperate. If it helps, I do have a pk9 file of the Incineroar with its size increased. The PKHex legality tracker seems to say its legal. But I'm not sure if it actually will be for any trade sysbots. Appreciate your help!
  5. string buffers are allocated and reused, meaning that the previous usage of that memory may have had data (not zeroes). renaming a pokemon does not clear the buffer, so longer nicknames will remain hidden underneath the new nickname & terminator. for generation 4+ encounters, you are fine grabbing from the database without modification; gens 1-3 do have trash bytes that are poorly understood, but don't matter when transferred to recent games (cleared/reset).

  7. Hello I hope this message finds everyone well. I'm reaching out with a bit of a unique request, and any guidance you could offer would be deeply appreciated. I've recently come into possession of a cheat code that I'm eager to apply to a particular game. However, I've hit a stumbling block in adapting the code to fit my version of the game, which carries the ID: IRAK 0F5D67C8. My technical know-how falls short in this area, hence my appeal to this knowledgeable community for assistance. To get into specifics, the cheat code I'm looking to converting is as follows: 521CB54C 59A8437E 023AE840 59A8437E 023AE844 51A80840 123AE848 00004770 021CB54C F978F1E3 D2000000 00000000 This code is designed for the White (EU) version of the game. I'm aiming to adapt it to work with White(K){game ID IRAK 0F5D67C8}. If anyone has expertise in this area, possesses a pre-converted code, or can point me toward tools or resources that might assist in this conversion, your help would be invaluable.
  8. Hello. I am fairly new to genning pokemon, and I attempting to make them look as legal as possible. I am very unclear on how trash bytes work. Do pretty much all pokemon you Gen from the encounter database in PkHex need their trash bytes fixed or altered? I did a basic search of this forum for Trash Bytes, but a lot of it went over my head. Where would be a good place to start learning about how to correct Trash Bytes for pokemon you make with PkHex? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

  10. A couple of options you have are 1) to give a trusted party who has the game a copy of the save for them to save on the latest version 2) dump your boxes used Save Box Data on the SAV tab, download a save on the latest version from the user contributed saves, import your boxes in that save, restore that save to connect to transfer your boxes to Home and then restore your original save
  11. It was traded to me in-person years ago. perfect iv's. Ability: Blaze. Item: none. Level: 100. Moves: Flamethrower and Flamewheel. Nature: Timid. And quilava CAN be shiny. I can't change the egg year for some reason, and this is what I get when trying to legalize it automatically in pksm: "Unable to match an encounter from origin game." when the met level is 5 and location is New Bark Town, met year is 2011, while origin game is SoulSilver, "OT name too long" it's only 7 letters, and "Encounter type does not match encounter" Idk what this could mean. I don't know what a legal combination of Ability, Item, ect. would be, as I've looked it up and gotten nowhere and I'm at a complete loss as to what to do to make the Quilava legal, and if there's any other changes like with stats that I need to make (Maybe the stats aren't equaling a perfect iv while it says that it has 6, for some reason? idk). It transfered fine, until it was in pokemon Black. Any help would be most appreciated.
  12. Hi, a long time ago I had a physical copy of Pkmn Shield however circa 2020 I sold it over. I've recently started to play Pokémon again and got Violet, and wanted transfer to Violet some of the mons I had in Shield (like zamazenta, eternatus, my starter, etc.) but when I tried to access the boxes in HOME it told me that the software version of my last save was too old and that I need to save again in a more modern version (something impossible since I no longer have the copy), I managed to get a hold of the save file through JKSV and was planning to use some discord sysbot, but it's telling me that it's not possible. I wanted to know if someone could help me out and maybe ask a bot to gen them in SwSh or inject them directly and then transfer them to Home and trade them back to me.

This worked great for me, I would like to know if it is possible to use auto legallity mode this way... do you guys know
Hey Im having trouble saving in both the MIDDAY hack and MIDNIGHT hack is there a way that I can fix this (If I go to the main menu to do the special episodes I have to start all over again) But otherwise this Hack is incredible! I FINALLY CAN PLAY AS AXEW
  15. Latest development build of PKHeX has a setting that you can turn on to retain the met date for 4->5 transfers.
  16. I have completely full boxes in HGSS, and many boxes of pokemon in my other gen 4 games. I would love to move the pokemon all the way up eventually into Pokemon Home via Pokemon Bank, but really dislike how the met date is changed to the date of transfer to gen 5 from gen iv upon using poke transporter within gen 5. Even using PKSM, the date changes to the date you moved the pokemon from PKSM into Gen V. Similarly, the met date is changed upon using Pokemon Chest. Is there another tool or way to bring the Pokemon up while keeping the met dates? Or is my best bet to change the date on my 3ds to the date of capture of the mon, then move with poke transporter or PKSM? Which is doable, but takes a very long time. I can also manually edit caught dates in Pokemon Chest, but could that cause any legality issues, as keeping the legality flags is important to me as well. And again, this process is time consuming when I have a completely full PC.
  17. Does anyone know how to cancel the shiny cheat? Like make it stop I'm a little tired of seeing everything shiny in the wild
  18. Looking for mostly a .save or .dsv as I don’t have a computer to modify anything
  19. I'm pretty sure Gen 3 is the only Gen where shinies exist but without a way to boost the shiny rate. Even Gen 2 has a shiny breeding method.
  20. The Masuda Method was introduced in Gen 4, and then updated to have a higher shiny chance in Gen 5. You might be thinking of the base shiny rate being doubled in Gen 6. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Masuda_method
  21. Ok, thanks, but they're not showing up, I've put them in the right place
  22. Anyone ever figure out how to replace your starter and add their portraits at the same time? Currently playing through with Misdreavus as my partner and i would like its portraits in there as well.
