  1. The rules for those tournaments are so wonky. In any case, you can always use "Follow me" on a focus sash pokemon while the other sets up and sweeps.
  2. Click on the Generate button, there should be a pop-up button that allows you change genders, class and nature, along with the shininess. As for Pal Park, I haven't figured it out. Have you obtained the rights to use Pal Park in Pokemon yet?
  3. No, not really. IVs is what a Pokemon is born or permanently has and cannot be changed. Use the PID Generator in order to create a seemingly legitimate pokemon. EVs are what can be modified to 255, depending on the context, you can alter them to a legitimate setting.
  4. What makes Pokemod so great? What will Pokemod consist of? Will it even be able to make totally indistinguishable legal pokemon (Hex values and all?)
  5. Damn, my file didn't save so I have to do the PIDs again. How do I know which ability of the pokemon is class 1 and which is class 2? ---------- Post added at 09:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:26 AM ---------- So, to reformulate all the questions unanswered: How do I know which ability of the pokemon is class 1 and which is class 2? Also, what is "type"? Are all pokemon Type 1? Also: Is this true? If so, if I produced pokemon making them appear as if they came from an egg, how would I make them appear legal via the PID Generator? How do I make legitimate shinies with legitimate IVs and nature -- When I use the PID/IV Generator, I've realized that my pokemon never appear as a possible shiny. Is there anyway to get the correct algorithms of IVs that match the personality of my Pokemon and make it shiny (while also passing the VS. Recorder). Since almost all my pokemon will be hatched from eggs on my Platinum game (to avoid mistakes and to ensure reliability), have the hex codes changed drastically? Another question: If I trade an event pokemon I've downloaded and put on my pearl game and then wanted to put them on my Platinum game. Do I need to change their hex values? They theoretically will be traded from Pearl/Diamond to Platinum since the events have already passed Do Pal Parked pokemon have their hex values changed as well?
  6. I'm having trouble producing legitimate shinies along with algorithms that suit the personality and the PID. Also, what is "type"? Are all pokemon Type 1? Also: Is this true? If so, if I produced pokemon making them appear as if they came from an egg, how would I make them appear legal via the PID Generator?
  7. I've never bothered with the forums. But I've been using Pokesav since July 2007
  8. The "type" thing is totally unclear for me. I just use Type 1 for most if not all, but I'm still trying to gather information about the "types". However, yes. Basically give it numbers that suit the build you want, go to PID/IV and generate to a suitable personality. If you get nothing, flex a number by one or two, regenerate and repeat until you get something to your liking. Confirmation would be desirable indeed.
  9. Nope. They're randomly-generated IVs and Personality, so if you modify them, try changing the IVs to your taste, and then use the PID/IV generator to get a legit personality that suits your IVs. If you can't get the personality you want, try altering the numbers a bit by 1 or 2.
  10. Oh whoops. You have to have the Pokedex before pokesav takes effect, otherwise it just doesn't go. So play the game until you get the Pokedex. Go to Pokesav and enable the Sinnoh. Go back to playing. It should work, otherwise I'll do it myself for you.
  11. Battle Recorder. Something that let's you record games. To quote Serebii: "If you go into the recording mode, it will show you what you have stored in the Vs. Recorder. In the Vs. Recorder, you can store one of your own matches and three further matches from the Global Mode of the Vs. Recorder. You always have the option to delete them should you so wish so do not worry about having too many." Apparently, it's a very useful tool. It allows you to record games and when you try to upload them, if one of your pokemons do not work or are illegit, they will say that they are unable to upload the battle due to either you or your opponents pokemon (it states which team has an illegit pokemon, but not which pokemon). However, I do not know what they check for illegitimacy, probably Hex values, the IV/EV values and if the PID was legitly generated along with the correct origins. An example: http://www.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/pokemonplatinum/show_msgs.php?topic_id=m-1-48838269&pid=946308 Although, no one gives a confident confirmation, we can see what the error message says: "'There appears to be a problem with the recipient's pokemon, Data was not sent.'" P.s I THOUGHT THIS WAS ABOUT HELPING ME DDD< HHAAATTTEEEEE lulz I kid. But, if I get some help on my pokemons, I can get some further tests in and evaluate this VS. Recorder (I do this professionally, so it's really not a problem)
  12. http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/save/946308.html The first one is perfect. Beat the E4. Then use Pokesav to tick off just Sinnoh. Go to Rowan and then Pal Park. Get National and then go to Pokesav and tick off Nationals. That should be it. I may missed a step or messed up the order.
  13. Right, so I am trying to achieve the ultimate feat.: creating pokemon that can pass the Vs. Recorder. For most of you veterans (I've been using Pokesav since uh... July 2007?), this sounds easy, but for me, I'm having a large amount of trouble, especially with the arrival of Pokemon Platinum. My biggest concern right now is transitioning my Pearl Pokemon to Platinum to make them appear as if I caught/bred them via Platinum and EV trained via Platinum. When I use the PID/IV Generator, I've realized that my pokemon never appear as a possible shiny. Is there anyway to get the correct algorithms of IVs that match the personality of my Pokemon and make it shiny (while also passing the VS. Recorder). To add, what is the difference between Type 1, 2, 3 all the way to 8. My second problem is Class in the PID category. That too has a "generate" button, is it of any use? Also, how do I know which ability is Class 1 and which ability is Class 2? Since almost all my pokemon will be hatched from eggs on my Platinum game (to avoid mistakes and to ensure reliability), have the hex codes changed drastically? Another question: If I trade an event pokemon I've downloaded and put on my pearl game and then wanted to put them on my Platinum game. Do I need to change their hex values? They theoretically will be traded from Pearl/Diamond to Platinum since the events have already passed Do Pal Parked pokemon have their hex values changed as well? And as a side-question, is there a site in which I can get some matching ID/SID for Trainers for previous-Gen games (wanted to use those IDs for my legendaries). Yeah, I know these are a lot of questions and I apologize. I just want everything to be perfect and hopefully pass the VS. Recorder legitimacy check. ---------- Post added at 03:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:29 AM ---------- I forgot to add, please check here often as I will be constantly working on my .sav file and also recycling this topic to ask more questions.
  14. If I did that, then I would need Wifi Linked trades that are equal or greater than the number of pokemon that I have (since my Trainer Card states how many times I've been linked and traded) and I have about 10 completed boxes of specifically designed pokemon. Believe me, I've thought of everything D: The second problem is that the journal logs everything by date, so if I send National Pokedex pokemon before collecting Sinnoh Dex, then I would look illegit. Yes, I'm that precise in my work D:
  15. How honorable! A developer! Now, what if I wanted to change my Pearl Pokemon to Platinum. Meaning, replicating their origins as if I caught them on Platinum and trained them on Platinum. Will their hex values need to change? I read a bit that the hex values get a lot more complicated. Also, what of pokemon I caught on Diamond and put them on Platinum (just like if I had traded them with two DSes, thus they keep their Diamond origins, OT, etc.), any hex values needed to be changed in order to make them appear legitimate?
  16. Okay, so even though it says (Pal Park), in-game, it will say Distant Land, etc. etc. if the hometown is set correctly? Can I do this with all pokemon? ---------- Post added at 03:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:19 PM ---------- And will I need to change their hex values if I'm putting them on Platinum (To be technical, Pal Park to Pearl to Platinum)
  17. Hey guys, it's me again. I recently downloaded a Pokebox event Zigzagoon pokemon with extremespeed. When I loaded it on pokesav, it said: "Met at place: (Pal Park)" Is this possible? This is a GBA Event category pokemon. Lastly, do I need to change any of the Hex Values for it? Do any hex values need to be changed for pokemon that we got from events and want to transition them to Platinum (through pokesav and not trading) ---------- Post added at 01:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:05 PM ---------- This is for a lot of event Pokemon actually, including ones. I guess I shouldn't touch them? ---------- Post added at 02:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:40 PM ---------- I'm getting pretty mad now. Almost all the legendary pokemon I've downloaded say Pal Park as the place I've met them... Is this normal?
  18. Yeah, I don't know either and nobody is clear on it. By the way, is there an Arceus download that is legitly from the E4 Jap. Version trick? Yeah, a bit contradictory, but you know what I mean.
  19. What about Pokemon from XD/Colosseum. I was downloading some event pokemon and I saw that one of them said as the Met status: "(Pal Park)". Is this possible? I thought it kept the original place it was caught and then when being transferred via Pal Park, it keeps what it was originally met...
  20. Al'right thanks mate. I might have more questions later or need a double-check on some pokemon, so I may reuse this topic. For now, I appreciate the help.
  21. This explains a lot. So if I hatched my Chancey in Sapphire, caught it via Pal-Park and traded, it'll state the following?: Hoenn The date I met it And the Region/Version is Sapphire. As for Hex Value: 00 seems to be it. What about trades? (no relation to Pal Park). If I trade an egg and it hatches, will it state me as the OT or where it originally was received. Example: John gets an egg from Diamond. He gives it to Tom who hatches it in Fuego Ironworks. So... Egg received would be: Day Care Couple And Met at level 0, in Fuego Ironworks. OT would be... Tom or John? Is the rest correct as well?
  22. When Wifi-Trading/ Using Pal Park, how does the origins look like? Like let's say I hatched a Chancey in Sapphire and I used Pal Park to catch it? What would it's origins be like? Eggs hatched? Met at place? Region? Hex Value? Same question for Wifi Trading? If I caught something from Pal park and then traded it from Pearl to Platinum, will it keep it's information? This is the only thing that confuses me when trying to replicate pokemon from pal park or traded...
  23. Does anyone have a nearly completed Platinum game that I could edit? I really don't feel like replaying the entire game, but I want to make my game as legit as possible ;x Also, I checked the event database and I couldn't find any of the japanese Giratina, the new Sheimi and the odd forms of Rotom, does anyone have these that I could download? Other than that, I'm just having trouble legitimizing my pokemon. Not EVs and such, I spent hours tinkering with those, but I mean their source or origin (From a trade, etc.), I set almost all mine to trades and such to avoid risks, but I want to make them look more legit to be honest ): Any help? I'm trying to change the number of times it says I'm linked from 4 to about 213, considering I have almost 18 boxes full of pokemon from Pearl to Platinum Edit: Like... if I edit record system, will it take effect?
