  1. Besides the event "collection" that I help maintain for this site, I have a decent collection of rocks. Currently working on a display case; maybe I'll get some pics up later.
  2. Not sure what is meant by your question, and it should be posted in a new thread (do it). I plan to test the exact criteria for this legit check and I'll get back to you. Obviously creating a legal pokemon to pass it is just an application of the criteria.
  3. That's exactly what the progressing hacks forum is for. Unless you have a truly completed one. (Pretty sure there are very few to none of those.)
  4. *cough* http://projectpokemon.org/wiki/Pokemon_NDS_Structure
  5. Thanks, I'm pretty sure our server won't run exe's but I'll look into it.
  6. I don't think his statement was all that unreasonable. New or not, you couldn't have spent more than a second actually looking before you posted this thread. Shaymin62: It was fake, we are no longer hosting it. You should really create a new thread for this stuff...
  7. It's fine, you pointed out a site-related issue and (hopefully) it got fixed.
  8. I don't know about it being inefficient. IMO Pokesav.org forums got out of control after Platinum came out, and a lot of it was due to there being no standard, easy way to punish users for the day-to-day offenses. Now I can give ten infractions or more in the time it would've written me to type out a reply warning a user on pokesav.org, and there is an actual stimulus for them to not do it again. Previously, I would just have to mentally keep tabs on repeat offenders; that just doesn't work on a larger forum. Spam and excessive swearing are hard to define beyond "use common sense"; we can't cover every possibility so why would we design some bulky, inflexible standard in a failed attempt at doing so? I understand that this depends largely on the quality of the staff, so let me make this very clear. I think that what will set this apart from other major pokemon sites is it's staff. I will make every effort to steer far away from the direction Serebii and other sites have gone, and this is something we've already discussed at length as a staff. For one thing, being "kid-friendly" is pretty much the bottom of my priority list. Many sites IMO have gone wrong right there; they become so kid friendly that they alienate their mature users. And it's not just that mature users want to swear every now and then, swearing has very little to do with it. Per "the system": There is no infraction for impersonation or what I would consider blatant advertisement (actually advertising a product, not just some 11 yo's new fail attempt at a forum, but even that will give a significant infraction); those don't require points. I expect any mod who sees such a thing to permanently ban the IP on sight. As for warez, I just think given the nature of this site that people deserve a 2nd chance (and that is all they get, 2). There is also the issue that we have previously been fine with (and sometimes even encouraged ) things that are now considered warez talk.
  9. Oldskool.^ Sorry, couldn't resist. :bidoof:
  10. We will consider the wifi and fanfic stuff. As for the rest, it's already in the works.
  11. Didn't notice this earlier. 0.o That's pretty slick, do let me know when you release the source. It might be worth implementing something like this on the site. EDIT: This would only work on a windows server, right?
  12. Thanks for sharing! =)
  13. Fixed the missing report button (mods see new forum), added some of the classic pokesav.org smilies, edit permissions so that all users can edit their topic titles, and edited permissions so that users can add polls to their topic at any time. :grog: :kikkoman: :creep: :bidoof:
  14. I wasn't aware that the VS recorder checked legitimacy; can you go into more detail?
  15. Oh, I didn't notice that. In that case I'm pretty certain that one was made by someone using pokesav's event algorithm generator.
  16. Interesting... But there is only one legit one. I don't know what to say about your friend/relative, these clearly aren't the real deal. The hometown on all of them should be ruby, but only one of the mews says that, and that's not so coincidentaly the only one that validates with the event algorithm in Legality Checker.
  17. There's a poll in the other thread, this one is not necessary.
  18. This thread is not necessary. *locked*
  19. Gold has a point. You guys seem to think Nintendo is out to get you; they're not. They will do the bare minimum or possibly less to ensure that people don't hack in their tournaments. Honestly, if you hack a legal pokemon you don't have that big of an advantage over a legit player.
  20. The event has already come and gone... We got it a long time ago. =/
  21. This is just a reminder that you don't have to use the boring vB default skin. We set it as the default because Techron has some compatibility issues and will only work once you've used the default skin once. If you'd like to set Techron as your default you may do so here.
  22. If you or your friend have a slot-1 flashcart and a retail GBA game this should work fine.
  23. The wiki pages don't seem stretched to me... Can you link to a specific one or provide a screenshot? BTW this belongs in the feedback forum ...what does it have to do with main series discussion?
  24. Our rules have been revamped. Even if you've read them previously I recommend a reread as lots has been added. We've also finished our implementation of an infraction system.
