That depends on what you wanna do. Presumably you could trade any pokemon you want from a "hacked" save to a completely clean one and no one would know.

Pretty much the sole focus of the legality checking effort has been on pkms themselves. There are no guarantees that they won't be able to tell you hacked your save as a whole.

Isn't the "why" pretty clear? You said it yourself... But maybe you should read here if you haven't already. As for your moderator account, perhaps some kind of "former staff" rank could be put in place, but unless you're up for joining us again and staying active there's really no reason include you with the current staff. No offense.

The correct course of action is to use the report button () if on the forums or PM an operator if on the IRC. As always, be patient. Do not impersonate anyone. There will be very little tolerance for members found to be impersonating other people or misrepresenting their own identity, specifically others in the online community. Coming onto the forums, wiki, or IRC under multiple accounts is a violation of this rule, even if one account has been banned. Consequences for ban evasion include an even longer suspension and permanent bans for any alternate accounts. Do not scam other members. This applies to anyone offering a service on this site, whether it's battling, trading, requests, or something else. If terms agreed on beforehand are broken, it will be a violation of this rule. Follow the rules of any tournaments that you enter. We do not support or condone cheating at the expense of others. If you give us an explicit reason to believe that you are cheating or plan to cheat in a tournament, sponsored by Nintendo or otherwise, we will issue a ban. Forums Specific Rules Post threads in the appropriate forum. It should be pretty clear where any given thread goes, but if it isn't just post it in one of the general boards and a staff member will move it if necessary. Keep in mind that all of the editing forums have a sub-forum for help. Any questions or requests for help belong there and not in the parent forum. This rule will be flexible for new users but repeat offenders will face consequences. Stay on-topic. For the sake of simplicity, create a new thread if you start getting too far away from the topic of the original. Be specific when titling your topics. A topic title should give others a good idea of what your thread is about without them actually visiting it. This is often an issue with threads in the help forums; be specific as to what your issue is. Keep in mind that topic titles can be changed by their creator at any time. Do not stretch the page. Page stretching is done when someone posts an extremely large image or amount of text and it causes the page to stretch horizontally or vertically. If you have a large image, long code, or other material that may stretch the page, put it in between spoiler tags so that other members can read around it comfortably.

Rather than posting a new thread each time we make an update to the site (and yes, it will be happening quite often), the staff will make a post here detailing each update. Not all of it will be of interest to you but this is ultimately here to inform. If you need to comment on one of these updates make a new thread in the feedback forum. Enjoy!

I'm sure not all of you think this is worse, but I have seen it several times over the last few days, and there's a pretty simple answer: The site is not done. At this point even some of the things that may look done are not set in stone. But rest assured that we are working to get this site in even better shape than pokesav.org. Why the big rush to move if the site isn't finished? There were several reasons, but the most influential in our decision to move early was our dislike of being under the Pokesav banner. While we will continue to be pretty much the site for Pokesav until the release of Pokemod, we don't especially like Pokesav. It has negative connotations that PP does not, we are not affiliated with the programmer and as such cannot do more than minor edits of the program, and it just is not what we want to be represented by. So please, just bear with us for now. I assure you that Project Pokemon will be far greater than pokesav.org in due time.

I'm surprised how consistent the rumors were; given that I was in 1st-2nd grade during the RBY era what I heard of pikablu and the rest was all on the playground. I guess the source must've been the internet for the same rumors to be so widespread.

Just a heads up to any prospects who may be able to get this: The only way they have of limiting the distribution to registrants is to use a slot-2 distribution. This means they will plug a special cart into the GBA slot of your DS which will do what the wireless distribution normally would. Now, the issue with that is that whoever is in charge of loading the distro cart into your DS will obviously know if you're using a flashcart. So if you can, take your retail cart to the event and back up the save later. It you can't... I don't know what Nintendo would do but it probably wouln't be give you the event.
