  1. Haha don't worry about it. Glad to help . I've just looked over your team again and heatran as a special sweeper could work really well. He would make for a good check to dark types who other wise threaten the likes of alakzam and Dusknoir.
  2. Cool song. Fake Sounds of Progress - Lost Prophets ... A track from before they started sucking ass
  3. Yeah I think it would be cool too .. though I doibt it would happen. Who knows what gen 5 will bring ... I personally think a dawn stone on dragonair (or level up next to dawn rock [made up gen 5 place ]) would be cool .. turn it into a psychic dragon with levitate.

  6. Passenger Ft. Maynard James Keenan - Deftones Gotta love Chino and Maynard duetting
  7. any ground type with access to dark moves might have its way with you, also a weakened scizor might not necessarily OHKO a tyranitar ... and then you're screwed. Um also things like dugtrio could prove to be a nuisance with arena trap (Earquakes on Jolteon, heatran and scizor ... suckerpunch/nightslash for Latias (of whom it does outspeed) and then stone edge for everything else). If heatrans down Weavile could cause some problems too. I think you might just want to replace one of your ground weak pokemon, I mean you have got levitate + flying pokemon, but 3/6 being weak to ground attacks is chancing it a bit. You might wanna try Leafeon in Scizors place? Leafon @Life Orb Jolly EVs 252 atk/ 4 def / 252 spe - Swords Dance - Leaf Blade - Return - Quick Attack/ Synthesis Hope I helped lol .
  8. I think they'll notice when a neutral hit does **** all damage to kyogre/groudon . I would recommend making a legit team full of powerhouses, rayquaza, deoxys-A come to mind.
  9. This'll take a while but a way you could solve all of your problems would be to get the Riolu off of Riley (I think it's him) in platinum, trade it over to HG/SS, Slap the EXP share on it and go through the pokemon league like 8million times and give it close combat and earthquake (if it doesnt get earthquake .. I'm not sure, then throw on bone rush, it's in game so who cares right .. plus it's a cool move) and then that is the snorlax and pikachu both solved. Similarly you could get the Tyrogue from that guy in the mountain (oh yes I'm feeling descriptive today) evolve it into any hitmon you want - again close combat + earthquake job done :D
  10. May as well throw a wondertomb on there and be done with it lol.

    Tier Names

I have to say this way (Overpowered / High Class / Middle Class / Low Class) does seem ... well better to me. I also like the idea of 'S / A / B / C' ... actually I prefer the latter. It just defines the pokemon within the tiers .. better? I dunno but I'd be happy to see either of the two.
  12. Sounds really quite awesome . Are they going to be like as hard/easy as they usually would or are they going to be racked up to maximum difficulty ? Best of luck, nice idea!

  15. I've been looking around for you dude and I can't find anything that would help with adding to the pokedex, just the aforementioned removal of pokemon already present in the the dex. I'm also not sure about how you're going to do it in any case as I think I've read that there is an assigned amount of memory to each aspect (the maps and 'dex) so it might be difficult to get passed that. However don't give up, wait for someone more informed to post or go see if there's any tutorials lying around deep within the pokecommunity forum ... Or try in the IRC. Sorry I couldn't be more help .
  16. Ok then this sounds like a cool story, but is this for GBA or DS, and are you making it alone. I mean I can't help but if you're looking for people to help you might want to advertise that too . Also you mention 5 regions ... how are you doing that lol? and does that go to say there will be forty gyms ?

  20. Haha probably a good idea. I'm heading off now though so you can help me with it tomorrow if you're online... Too many scary things in OU for my liking
  21. Introoo Yet Another Revamp Firstly thank you to shogun for pointing me in the right direction with some pokes and suggesting things ... really helped If any of you know me you'll know that I actually almost despise OU... however I was getting a bit bored of seeing the same thing in UU over and over again so thought I'd try OU out. And well... I'm sad to say that I'm actually quite enjoying it haha. I threw almost all of my prejudice away in making this team so there are a fair few purely standard sets on fairly standard pokemon, but I hope I didn't go too generic. The aim of this team is to hit hard when need be whilst being able go on the defensive when it starts to kick off . I've also tried to add some synergy too... but I suck at that so there might be some holes... but hell if it was perfect I wouldn't be here asking for help . Anyway enough digression, here's the team - in small form first of course . [iCON]461[/iCON] [iCON]130[/iCON] [iCON]135[/iCON] [iCON]392[/iCON] [iCON]241[/iCON] [iCON]242[/iCON] Lead [HGSSSPRITE]461[/HGSSSPRITE] Occam (Weavile) (M) @ Focus Sash Ability: Pressure EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Fake Out - Counter - Taunt - Ice Shard The strategy is the same as last time if you saw this thread before the revamp. Fake out for some free damage, Taunt to stop entry hazards, and counter to remove the threat - so long as it is physically based. I have found that aerodactyl is a pain ... what with all its speed so it usually falls to a fake out followed by two ice shards (no damage to me done), then the next pokemon (which is usually physical due to the ice typing) falls to counter instead. Win win --- Physical Sweeper [HGSSSPRITE]130[/HGSSSPRITE] Xuanlong (Gyarados) (M) @ Wacan Berry Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 Atk/50 Def/208 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Dragon Dance - Waterfall - Earthquake - Ice Fang Not much to say about gyarados, other than he's very good . The Ev's given are merely for bulk. There was 12 in HP so that life orb damage left me on 1 HP after 10 attacks. however I've opted for a wacan berry (credit to Mewtwo Ex for suggesting it ) as I was having starmie troubles and thunderbiolt troubles in general. This now means that I can Point blank Ddance in the face of an unboosted electric attack should the time warrant for it, and OHKO back earthquake. Ice fang over stone edge so latias isn't as problematic. --- Special Sweeper [HGSSSPRITE]135[/HGSSSPRITE] Blackwater (Jolteon) (M) @ Expert Belt Ability: Volt Absorb EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [ice] - Shadow Ball - Charge Beam Jolteon is the second part of my offencive trio. Jolteon provides a good way of getting out of thunderbolts dodge (should the incoming thunderbolt be boosted against gyarados) and making it somewhat advantageous due to volt absorb. In other words great synergy . The idea is simple here, switch into an electric attack or something that will have to switch out, or a weakened special poke (as Jolteon has quite cool special defence), revenge/kill it or use charge beam, get the plus one and go to town. Some teams aren't prepared for a jolteon so I can occasionally get 2 - 4 guys down before he falls (expecially if blissey has been eliminated). Hidden power ice is the HP of choice as there's a lot of gliscor floating about (pun not intended, but on reflection kept anyway) and it's always nice to see a salamence fall in one hit + swampert usually frequent as leads and get killed by weavile. --- Mixed Sweeper [HGSSSPRITE]392[/HGSSSPRITE] Zhu-Rong (Infernape) (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Blaze EVs: 64 Atk/252 Spd/192 SAtk Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef) - Close Combat - Nasty Plot - Fire Blast - Grass Knot And here's Infernape, completing my offencive trio. Was never a fan of Infernape but frankly dragonite wasn't doing me any favours and I hate salamence. In any case I now really do like infernape, he does exactly what I wanted dragonite to do and does it better . The idea is again to switch in to something that doesnt like him, and use nasty plot, when blissey comes in, I punch it in the face... and then set about kicking everything holy out of everything else with boosted fire blasts. Grass knot is for bulky waters that over wise wall me . --- For every Salamence, Scizor and Lucario that ripped through your best team [HGSSSPRITE]241[/HGSSSPRITE] Fat Man (Miltank) (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Scrappy EVs: 252 HP/136 Def/120 SDef Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Curse - Heal Bell - Milk Drink - Body Slam Don't scoff at Fat Man... That scoffing will get you swept very quickly... well slowly but in a timely manner . Believe it or not Miltank is the best physical wall I've ever had the pleasure of having on my team. The idea is to switch into scizors bullet punch or super power, and then use milk drink until his attack is at a manageable level, then curse alot, drink some milk and sweep with +6 Attack and + 6 Defence. Though I can't actually switch into salamence, there's not a lot he can do when I'm at 100% either. Gengar does provide some problems as he can get the OHKO on me at times, but if not he follows the same trend as all his other high powered brethren. --- Special Wall [HGSSSPRITE]242[/HGSSSPRITE] Wild Bill (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 24 HP/252 Def/232 SDef Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Aromatherapy - Seismic Toss - Softboiled - Toxic Blissey is blissey ... she does what she does . She walls special hits and does it well . --- Rate as you see fit, hopefully this team is better than the last one. Thanks for reading . I also think I have a slight gengar proble so if there's any plausible way to help me out in that area then please do so. Anyone that gets the theme behind the nickname gets ... a cyber Cookier?
  22. That's understandable I kind of hate using standard teams too, but it's always best to play off of your pokemon of choice's strengths rather than weakness. If you want ramparados I'd suggest not making it a trickroom variant, but instead slap on a choice scarf and give it, head smash - earthquake - pirsuit - zen headbutt. Replace gallades thunderbolt for thunderpunch. To play off of his stronger attack. You'll have to use someone else instead of garchomp I suggest either dragonite or salamence, as they can both play mix sets and you seem to favour those - plus neither of those are band from standard play.
  23. Yeah I suppose that makes more sense, it's just really cool if it works properly (for instance pory/blissey/_Other normal/dark type_ switch ins expecting the shadow sneak or other ghost type attack). But your choice will find more use for the more prevalent heatran and weavile.
  24. Electivire is really cool with good prediction due to its ability. However in looking at your team his coverage and place on your team really isn't all that great, as there are many pokes with exactly the same coverage as him (for instance starmie running boltbeam, swampert running earthquake etc) . Though I fully expect there to be pokemon that share certain moves, it's kind of odd when most of your team will be doing all of the jobs that he will be meant to be doing. So, I think you should keep it physical as you have a nice mixture of special attackers as is. I think dusknoir, lucario or heracross could all be awesome choices. Dusknoir would make good to stop swamperts rocks being spun away, while at the same time covering blissey's fighting weakness. Lucario would provide you a nice grass resist for swampert and starmie, as would heracross; and they will all provide solid attacking options and keep the fighting coverage that electivire provided. Thogh of course you gain another fire weak pokemon if you chose either lucario or heracross [sPRITE]477[/sPRITE] Dusknoir (M) @ Choice Band Ability: Pressure EVs: 252HP/ 252 ATK/ 4 Def Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Focus Punch - Shadow Sneak/sucker punch - Trick - Fire Punch/earthquake This set would be cool as not many people would expect a choice band variant, so you get the surprise factor. Focus punch is for when you switch into someone who will be forced to switch out, getting a hefty hit on the incoming poke. Shadow Sneak and sucker punch are to make up for his poor speed, possibly getting a revenge KO on a weakened foe, you either go for more power and less reliability or less power and more reliability. Trick will cripple spinners and utility pokes alike and fire punch is for weavile who threatens gliscor while earthquake is there for the heatran that threatens shaymin. [sPRITE]448[/sPRITE] Lucario (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Inner Focus EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Extremespeed - Close Combat - Crunch This is a standard lucario set, not really as much of a team player as dusknoir but packs one hell of a punch after a few swords dances. Extremespeed is again for his lacking speed and gives him a good chance to maybe get a chance for a revenge kill, close combat gets stab and crunch forms perfect coverage with it. It can also OHKO a predicted gengar. (for instance switch into a blissey and use crunch instead for teh incoming rotom/gengar used to block close combat) [sPRITE]214[/sPRITE] Heracross (M) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Guts EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Megahorn - Night Slash - Close Combat - Stone Edge Heracross is much the same as lucario instead hitting grass types and dragons alike. You could also employ the same technique as with lucario and predict a ghost and get a possible OHKO with nightslash's high crit' rate. Anyway that's just my thoughts, do with them what you will. Sorry if it's a bit long lol. EDIT: Just saw that you're thinking about going for skarmory, if so, definitely go with dusknoir.
