  1. Oo I like this thread . I myself am I a guitarist. That's how I would classify myself anyway. From when I started playing music (7 years ago) I started as a drummer and slowly moved my way up the melodic scale if you will and have been pretty successful through out . Going from drums I went - bass, R-Guitar to L-Guitar. I much prefer playing technical and screwy rhythms than I do playing some long ass solo. I don't like playing them, they bore me lol. At the moment I'm playing around with a PRS knock-off with some Seymour Duncan's fitted. I wanted to go EMG, but that's just hassle. I play mostly progressive rock, such as Tool and Coheed & Cambria, and Alternate Rock, such as Fair to Midland and Incubus. However as it stands I am currently playing drums for my current Prog/Alt rock band. I would post a video or two, however due to the almost complete re-writing of the songs (due to the drummer leaving and a new guitarist filling my old spot) I see no need... yet . Interestingly, when I play different instruments I draw inspirations from really quite different genres. My main drumming influence has got to be Gavin Harrison of Porcupine Tree, check this guy out - [video=youtube;IzFfNk4xGTE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzFfNk4xGTE [video=youtube;WKCIUpW3q9s]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKCIUpW3q9s&feature=related Then You get a complete flip in inspiration when it comes to playing bass, I tend to draw from Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne for bass. IT's heavy as hell, but God damn that dude can play . As far as Guitar is concerned I draw from Coheed and Cambria's Claudio sanchez and Travis Stever. They are both immensely good R-Guitarist and L-guitarists, respectfully. So either way I look to their styles to formulate my own. My 5 mins of fame would be with a screamo death metal band. For a year or two we had quite a huge following, with a demo in small circulation and almost got the chance to play at the Reading Festival (small stage mind you ). Alas, I didn't feel musically comfortable with what I was playing, and I was the main writer, it's a depressing feeling to be pouring your heart and soul into something that you don't like anyway. So, I'm hoping I can get to similar, or preferably higher heights, whilst playing exactly what I want to play. I guess that's about it .
  2. Welcome to the site! It's nice to see another musician around here . It's cool that you play piano and guitar. A lot of musician's these days forget the importance of understanding chord structures and intervals in playing piano pieces. It makes the writing process a whole lot easier . Hope to see you around soon.
  3. Ah I see. For a second there I thought you had your hands on some super time telling device or some such . Thanks for clearing that up. Updated first post with the two newly released pokemon. One is rumoured to be a Luvdisc evo. Thoughts on that? It already has demon speed, so what might this bring in store for everyone's favourite water type?
  4. Ladies first? Psht out of common decency I'll hold the door open for anyone, people open and hold the door for me all the time so why not?
  5. Glad there's a nice big post on this thread . I agree with some things you're saying for sure. However, I am curious as to where you are getting these base stats?
  6. Blissey definitely does NOT want to be a lead, throw it where vaporeon was, give it seismic toss, and put mamo back in lead position. That should work well. However without vaporeon you are under serious threat of DD 'Dos.
  7. There're two things you can do. You can either recreate the pokemon and set it as an egg, the hatching process makes it appear caught naturally. Or if it a pokemon that doesn't naturally hatch, or if it is an event pokemon, create a duplicate, put that pokemon in the egg, hatch it and then release it. There isn't a code as of yet that can update the pokedex, as the pokedex is updated on an obtained basis - I.E traded, Caught, Hatched etc etc.
  8. Well there's bound to be teething problems as is with any changes, keep at it and try all the different things out, eventually you'll find something for each set. I guess I'm just not seeing the team from your point of view here.

  10. Ok We'll do a quick little check list then
  11. Typhlosion, Noctowl, Lanturn, Scyther, Espeon and Absol, most recently.
  12. Listen to Ghost Machine. I think they are the singer's better band . Big - Dead Letter circus ... I've absolutely gone mad for 'em lately.
  13. I don't wanna beat a dead horse with the Dnite thing, but, the fireblast OHKO will be very useful. You say that EQ is nasty right? Well why let someone else who is similarly frail take the EQ? (weakened mamo won't be able to ice shard as the EQ will probably kill it off after prior damage and rocks damage) Say Dnite comes in on the same turn you nasty plot and goes for EQ, you can fire blast it to oblivion, and then carry on sweeping. This way you don't have to switch out, like you've already said you hate doing . And I don't know why but for some reason I am actually quite feeling the lum berry, it's a nice unexpected touch. A lot of people will switch in their status platforms, and you'll melt straight through them. However, to do any proper melting you will need the power. And dude, I love mamoswine leads . In fact one on one yours would probably best mine, but the problem is it's not going to be doing anything if it can't outspeed metagross and heatran, They usually have shucca berries so by the time you've EQ'd once, they've KOed you where as it could be the other way around. Anywhom that's about it ... for now, haha.
  14. Hmm well I suppose at least you have nasty plot . With fireblast however, you get a notable OHKO on dragonite after stealth rock. Which is actually going to be quite handy considering salamence has been booted to uber.
  15. Yes, to hurt things that are neutral and to be able to hurt things like vaporeon gyarados and starmie. Without nasty plot the set doesn't do a whole lot. Vacuum wave is a good move, but I don't think it belongs on this set ESPECIALLY without nasty plot. Infernape is a wall breaker, so it needs as much power as it can get to break said walls, hence why fireblast goes over flamethrower. Also if he's not got a life orb he will NEED that nasty plot. Plus Infernape is really quite speedy, so the priority move is almost lost on him.
  16. Crobat/gengar/persian/Perugly/Rapidash/Ninetales are all base 100+ speeds that can use hypnosis. Jumpfluff is the fastest Sleep powder user. However Venasaur can run a mean Scarf set w/ Sleep power. Breloom is a usfull but not so speedy spore user, as is ... that sketch pokemon ... what the hell is it's name SMEARGLE.
  17. IMO the most devasting 'Ape set is Infernape @ Life orb Naive nature 64 Atk/ 192 SpAtk/ 252 Spe Nasty Plot Grass Knot Fire Blast Close combat Try that out
  18. Scizor doesn't need +6, and chances are you won't get there anyway, if you're opponent is letting you get to plus6 you need new opponents. +2/+4 is all you need really, and sub helps with that. Sub on the switch, swords dance, Bullet punch and then hope you can get another sub+Swords dance. Earthquake gets stab and hurts a lot, and is nice with ice shard The EV's in speed are just helpful later in the game as well as getting the jump on anything slower .. Such as metagross and heatran leads. (the latter is beat with a jolly nature) 64 Edit: forgot your mamo has EQ. Protect works, as does endeavour. Body slam can get you some paralysis support, Roar can work for later in game, Rockslide has better accuracy than Stone edge, and can flinch slower leads.
  19. Yeah, that happens in pokesav if you don't go to stats and tick 'all max.' Ticking all max sets the EXP to the levels base EXP.
  20. Do you mean these? You set it to far away place and type the above hex into 46h and the 47h... something caught in Ilex forest for instance would be 46h D6, 47h 00. It's all on the first page. I might have read the question wrong.
  21. I feel the same as Feraligates. I think if you are going to run heatran + Infernape then Vaporeon might have to go into concideration to take the water type attacks. However, then you have a problem with dragonite if you lose your rapid spinner. However, as your starmie set goes it seems very ... erm, not right? locked into rapid spin with rotom running around all the place is going to suck, In which case the path isn't going to be cleared for dragonite anyway. Then again this is where roost comes in handy. The way I see it is you need one guy to take the heat for scizor as it looks like he's your main sweeper. So pick infernape or heatran. After that you have dragonite who covers heatran/Infernape's ground weakness. However the water weakness remains, which would be better solved by vaporeon (running HP Electric for gyara). Mamoswine then happily covers the electric weakness and dragonite covers vappies grass weakness. That's 4 pokemon with great synergy already, so then the next thing to consider is dragonite's ice weakness, which can be handled by heatran/infernape. I think infernape works better here for it's mixed ability, I run would 64 EV's in attack and make it a special inclined mixed sweeper with CC for blissey. After this some nice defence could work wonders . I would recommend forry but you don't really want another 4x fire weakness . Meh my mind's dead now. But the four pokemon up there work nicely together, now you just need to cover holes/ break walls . EDIT: On the Mamo note; I run EQ/Ice shard/Protect/SR. That set works wonders for me. It beats Aero/azelf leads, albeit it doesn't save you from being SR'ed. Similarly swampert and the leads you've listed fall to it to. AND you get luxury of scouting .

    Hello!

Haha welcome to the site, and welcome back to the game . just as you get back into pokemon a whole new generation is starting, good timing . Pokesav is relatively easy to use, however pokegen is arguably easier to use so, run a search of pokegen in the forum and download that instead. I'm sure if you get stuck the maker of the program, or anybody with the know how might be able to help you. Enjoy your stay
