You're not joking. What I want to do is learn Flash/C++. I still recommend Game Maker for the beginner because you don't even have to use code.

1. Get Game Maker 7. It's free and relatively easy to learn. 2. Download tutorials on Game Maker 7. They'll make it even easier to learn. As for ideas, well, I find brainstorming is a good way to go. Try a basic plot first. For example, "an unlikely hero must rescue his girlfriend from a mysterious evil kidnapper."

Well, the wonderful game series known as Pokemon is now in its fourth generation of games. The franchise has come a long way, spawning a massive trading card game, a successful anime, and several spin-off games. It's brought enjoyment to children (and yes, even adults) worldwide. Everyone here probably knows all of this already, or is starting to discover it. Pokemon is truly a great game. However: With the recent release of Platinum, and the news regarding the next animated movie (news concerning the so-called "god" Pokemon, Arceus), and the large number of legendary Pokemon, with some being referred to in-game as deities, fans are concerned; controversy has arisen. Is the Pokemon series drawing to a close? If not, how can any legendary Pokemon to come match the high standard that has seemingly been set? In other words, how will GameFreak top a god? The rival in the latest installment in the main series memorably said that there's no end to Pokemon. But is it true? Discuss.

I rented the Kanto and Johto episodes and watched them alongside the newer arcs. They were just as good, in my opinion.

I was thinking a guide that deals more with the math involved, understanding what EVs do, how to distribute EVs, that sort of thing.

Funny, I would say my experience has been the opposite of yours regarding older episodes versus more recent fare. I definitely enjoyed the Kanto and Johto arcs more than the Sinnoh stories. Hoenn wasn't my favorite, either, though. I think this is because Misty > Dawn. Also, Ash is a complete and utter moron. Just puttin' that out there.

Oh, to be sure, to be sure. I'm not advocating spam or bad spelling/grammar in any way. But I've seen many a forum succumb to these things, because when there are ranks, people are more worried about the quantity of posts than the quality. Just pointing that out. I mean no offense.
