  1. tho it'll likely still take a long time. There's a post on gbatemp about it. I agree that brute-forcing this seems silly. But, the it's kind of the same as being able to reproduce wonder cards VS only uploading actual ones. It'll be valuable to preserve the original data itself, cause that way we'll know without a shred of doubt the generation method and other stuff is correct. For example, I've been looking to preserve the 10Anniv distribution cart backup, but I haven't been able to find it online. Imagine if people didn't preserve the wonder cards for gen III event, we would not have the wonder card injection system up after 10 years.

  2. While I didn't manage to win any tickets I turned up to the event anyway and managed to bullshit my way through the Bouncers and Nintendo employees. So I managed to get a Mew which has identical stats and ID/OT to the one posted above. Unfortunately, I stupidly forgot to charge my main 3DS so I had to use my second one which isn't hacked and is on the newest firmware. Luckily I believe you only need the Homebrew Launcher to extract save files and thus PKX files and I have OoT and a Powersaves device so I can install the Homebrew Launcher even on 11.2. However they are on the other side of the country right now so I won't be able to do so for a week or two. Anyway, here are some images of the Mew and from the event. Hopefully they are good enough proof. Glad Project Pokemon is back.

  5. Following our recent hack, we’ve finally restored our infrastructure: the forums have been migrated to IP.Board, and we’ve brought back the wiki. Special thanks to our entire administration team, @xorhash, and @ReignOfComputer for helping to set things up. Invision Power Board Invision Power Board (IP.Board, IPB) is a state-of-the-art forum software with a better security reputation than vBulletin, which we used to use. As vBulletin 4 approached EOL and clearly showed its age, we were considering how to proceed: with vBulletin 5 or something else entirely. The choice, as you can clearly see, has been made. Some of you have already asked why we didn’t choose the software du jour XenForo. This is due to a few reasons: peer, our new technical administrator, has worked with XenForo in the past and repeatedly hit its (and peer’s) limits. We had an IP.Board license readily available, whereas we’d have had to purchase XenForo separately. Looking at the track record of vBulletin for security, and seeing how XenForo is mostly the old vBulletin guys starting a new project, there were security concerns. If you have any questions about using Invision Power Board, please create a thread in the Forums Feedback forum. Staff Changes Due to concerns in real life, @Alpha has decided to no longer be the primary administrator. This means he’ll still be around, but will be less active than usual. We thank him for his hard work maintaining Project Pokémon, and his absence is a loss to Project Pokémon. Helping to fill his place will be myself and @peer, who is our new technical administrator. Furthermore, we’d like to announce the promotion to super moderator for @Kaphotics, @SciresM, and @theSLAYER. Data Loss The hackers deleted a large quantity of data, including some of our more recent backups. As a result, we have lost one year of forum attachments and a up to a few hours of forum posts. The good news is that @theSLAYER, our event moderator, has stockpiled generations of events and several programs, so the situation could have been far worse. @peer is looking into setting up automatic offsite backups to prevent this from happening again. Hashed passwords are still in the wild. We strongly encourage you to immediately change your passwords here and everywhere you’ve used the same passwords. While hashed passwords are not supposed to be reversible (i.e. your password shouldn’t be able to be derived from the hash), vBulletin’s hashing algorithm is very weak, making it that much more important you change your passwords. The Future Let’s not let the data loss get us down; it’s time to move forward. With the recent release of Pokémon Sun and Moon, there still cool things to discover, technical details to be researched, and ROM hacks to be created. (Not to mention there’s some cool stuff going on in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon side of things - more on this later.) As a reminder, the User-Submitted News forum was introduced a few weeks ago to help bring attention to things such as updates to Save and ROM editors, ROM hacks, and other cool stuff worthy of the front page. If you know of anything noteworthy, post it there so it has a chance to be seen by all! Closing Statements We would like to, once more, apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our staff, create a thread in the appropriate feedback forum, or ask in our IRC channel.

  7. I agree, since this is 5-year-old news. Unpinned it.

  8. The assumption that there are no duplicate title keys is an unsafe assumption to make, since there could be duplicates. But if that assumption were true, let's suppose there've been 1 million games released. I'm pretty sure the actual number is far less than this, my point will still stand. Given 2 ^ 128 = 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 possible keys, removing 1 million of them results in 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,767,211,456 possible keys, which (probably) won't finish within the life of the universe.

  10. Hello everyone! Although I play pokémon for at least 18 years, I'm pretty new to competitive battling and to save editing. I thought I would be able to learn a lot by coming here and talking to you guys! I'm particularly interested in finding someone to teach and battle and, since I live in Brazil, to help with some save editing features (Brazil unfortunately doesn't have the majority of official events and etc.). Nice to meet you all! Kind regards,

  11. It's been like this for years, with the difference now being that the old RAM and Saves forums were not only hidden, but unbrowsable. They're both now visible and browsable.

  12. That's a very good point. Plus I've always been about preserving and sharing these events, no matter how "rare" they may be. That said, here are the Mews Sabresite previously uploaded. Gen 4 PKM format, untouched from the original download. MYSTERY Mews (Gen 4 PKM).zip

  14. Well, seems SciresM was well aware of the titles being in the servers: CTR-N-RMWZ Mew Trading App(E) 000400000018C500 CTR-N-RMWA ミュウ引換用ソフト 000400000018C400 There's only a jap and an Eur versions, so if any more distros are ever made, they will be the same mews we already have. EDIT: of course, Nintendo could just use a different title with different patch and distribution, but both the JAP and EUR distribution apps were uploaded 9 months ago, so it's not like they made it for the UK event.

  15. I know SciresM was checking the servers for uploads and found SM, I'll ask him, maybe we can get the files. They will be encrypted, but given the size of the VC games (~10mB) maybe bruteforcing the encryption is a viable solution. edit: I feel like bruteforcing the aes key has nothing to do with the file size and that I just said something retarded

  16. Pokemon Rising Sun and Waning Moon v 0.6.1 (Very early release) Works for both Pokemon Moon and Sun! Pokemon Sun exclusive trainers (Kiawe, etc.) are still un edited though! Download & Information: (Removed by moderator) Feedback is much appreciated and NEEDED Lets start off with some context. Currently, pk3DS allows us to edit the trainers and move sets of pokemon within Pokemon Sun and Moon. I decided to go ahead and create a challenge mode of sorts, similar to that of Pokemon Blaze Black/Volt White. Currently editing wild encounters! Changes: Trial Captains and Kahunas now all have teams of 6 Pokemon. Level curve greatly changed. Team should be in high 70s/low 80s by the end of the elite 4. Trainers have Pokemon not usually seen in Alola. Gladion is literally Owain from Fire Emblem now. (His sword hand hungers.) Moveset editing has begun, Butterfree is a notable change. Youngster Joey has a top percent Rattata. Wild encounters up until Hau'oli City are finished! Instructions: (CFW Required for this method. See other method below if you don't have a CFW) THINGS YOU NEED: - Latest nightly build of luma https://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/ - The hack's GARC files (the stuff that actually overwrites the original assets) Get it from the Google Drive link - The code.ips file which is in the patch.zip in the Google Drive. Running extended code with luma - Download the luma nightly release and update ur luma (just overwrite ur old armloaderhax.bin with the new one in the download) - Create folders called SD:\\luma\titles\0004000000175E00\ - paste code.ips - create folder called SD:\\SaltySD\sunmoon\ and place the "a" folder from the GARCS.zip in there. And that should be it! Easiest way to tell if the romhack is working is by checking your trainer passport. It should say: Adventure started on v0.5 This only works for Luma3DS of course, not HANS. Plus, you can combine this with other IPS patches such as Instant Text Speed, No Outlines, SciresM's QR code patch, etc. Instructions(GARC Files/Current): First off you're gonna need a dumped copy of Pokemon Sun/Moon. You really should have done that by now btw. Download Extract Repack, Patch.zip and the GARC Files from my google drive. (Link at the top of the page.) Extract your dump's files. Download Lunar IPS Patcher (Google it) You should have a folder in Extract Repack tilted exefsdir, inside of it a .code.bin (if you don't have the exefsdir folder, you need to extract your Pokemon Sun and Moon dump!) Run Lunar IPS. Select apply patch to file. Select the code.ips patch, and then make sure you can select any file and select your .code.bin. Once its done patching, rename your .code.bin to (last 8 digits of title ID).code Make sure it becomes a .code file. The title ID should be the folder your game was dumped in. Move 00175e00.code (Different name for Sun) to SD:\Hans Create a folder on your SD card like so: SD:\\SaltySD\sunmoon\ and place the "a" and "Data" folder from the GARC files there. Launch Pokemon Sun/Moon from Hans and select custom code path Thats it! Easiest way to tell if its working is by starting a new game or checking your Trainer Passport. FOR POKEMON SUN USERS: RENAME THE "3" FILE IN a\0\8\ TO "2" Layeredfs: (These instructions only apply if you use the Layeredfs files) For usage, the folders are easy actually, just drag and drop both folders in the zip on the root of your sd, and for romhack usage, sd/Pokemon/Sun/ sd/Pokemon/Moon/ Put all of the garc files ("a" folder) in the Sun or Moon folder depending on which game you have. Todo: Re balance according to feedback. Re balance Pokemon move sets and stats once tools are available. Make all 802(?) Pokemon available through wild grass, events, and the such. Finish documentation on the various changes. Credits: Creators of the tools pk3DS, extract repack, etc. Drayano, for being a cool guy that's better at hacking than I am Sellout: I'm a filthy sellout. Follow me on twitter to know when major updates for the romhack come out. https://twitter.com/KobeRobsahm

  17. This is assuming you already have homebrew or custom firmware access on your 3DS. Use JK's Save Manager (JKSM) to extract your Pokémon Yellow VC Save. If you are using the Homebrew Launcher version and it doesn't work properly, you may need to use the 9.6 MMAP files linked on that same page. This will export a sav.dat file to your SD card under JKSM/Saves/Pokémon_Yellow/(custom folder name)/ Open this sav.dat file using PKX-Delta. When you open it, specify the correct game version. Once your game save is open you should see your in-game team, boxes, etc. Select any slot to open the Pokemon Editor window. On this Pokémon Editor window, select File and Open the event Mew file Save the updated sav.dat file to the JKSM/Saves/Pokémon_Yellow/ directory, preferably in a new folder so you don't overwrite your backed up save. Run JK's Save Manager again, and this time import your modified sav.dat save If all went well, run Pokémon Yellow and you should see the Mew successfully injected.

  18. I was one of the lucky ones who won tickets to the event, I got to attend had a fun time there, got to meet Shigeki Morimoto and have some merch signed, got the event Mew and saw some great Team Skull cosplayers. My 3DS was already hacked and I dumped my Pokémon Yellow game save as soon as I got home, unfortunately this site was still hacked at the time. Attached is the dumped Mew file from my extracted sav.dat using JK's Save Manager, as well as screens from PKXDelta. If you need I can also share my sav.dat file. The Mew does indeed have perfect IVs. To clarify, the save was dumped immediately after receiving the Mew, it was never stored in a box. Forthcoming is a video recording of actually receiving the Mew in a trade, and a couple of photos I took. Pokémon Festival UK 22-11-2016 Mew
