Friend Code (Nintendo Switch)

Friend Code (3DS)

NNID (Wii U)

  1. I want to start my game again and i'm planning my team. Empoleon Togekiss Arcanine Breloom Fortress (Insert HM Slave/Mismagius) Need help with the last pokemon. A good HM slave and another pokemon to use for battles.
  2. (For platinum) Hi, I was wondering if someone could create a code for me for the following effects: Cyndaquil, level 100, max EV's and IV's Shiny, Wonderguard, bold nature, SID 1337 Kyogre, Level 100, Max EV and IV Shiny, wonderguard, cool nature,SID 1 Tyranitar (Same as above) (SID 100000, brash nature) Typhlosion (Same as above) (SID 42, calm nature) Charizard ^^^^^^^^ (SID 12345, cool nature) Lugia ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ (SID 8, brash nature) I would like all these pokemon to have whatever the creator of the code deems the best moveset for them. Pokesav does not work on my computer, so my options are limited on what i can do T_T.... If anyone is able to do this, many thanks in advance. IF any more information is needed, please shoot me a private message. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  3. Hi! I never thought about making a team... I want a Meganium, Lucario, Empoleon, and Tangrowth in my team... I can take care of the IVs but can you teach me how I should get the EVs. and can you tell me a helpful nature for each of them. I will give you a shiny Zapdos or shiny Articuno or shiny Mespirit.(Real!!!) or other legendary or shiny wild or starter pokemon. ---------- Post added at 03:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:01 PM ---------- I thought about tangrowth's moves. How about sleep powder, sunny day, solar beam, and leech seed?? Item: heat rocki, ability chlorophyll
  4. I use this team mainly on PBR, where there are no tiers, and you can see the opponent's team before you select your Pokemon. Azelf @ Choice Scarf Jolly Levitate 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 6 HP U-Turn Explosion Stealth Rock Trick This thing has enabled me to take control of the field from the get-go, so I'm not changing it. :] I usually Explode if I smell a Rain Dance team coming on, or I just have issues with a lead Pokemon. Trick is for bulky leads such as Bronzong, or suicide leads that start with Stealth Rock. Azelf and Blaziken usually come out together so Azelf can bring it down to 1 HP, activating Salac and Blaze on the first turn. Blaziken @ Salac Berry Hasty Blaze 252 Spe / 194 Atk / 64 SpA Endure Overheat Blaze Kick/Fire Punch Reversal My awesome Reversaler. I don't care what people say, this thing usually is able to take out at least one Pokemon. (Barring Priority moves) Overheat is for things that think they can wall it on the Physical side, along with it able to OHKO (123%-145% by my calculations) Naive Salamance (With Blaze activated, of course), which thinks it can scare Blaziken out with Intimidate. (Get it?) It even outspeeds it with a Salac boost, as most Salamance on Wi-Fi don't have 31 Speed IVs, which my Blaziken has. Jumpluff @ Leftovers Timid Chlorophyll 252 Spe / 252 HP / 6 Def Sunny Day Sleep Powder Substitute Leech Seed What? NU tier? Are you serious, Smogon? This thing has stalled many Pokemon into submission, and protects Blaziken from Hail or Sandstorm. Sleep Powder can keep a Pokemon at bay while Blaziken deals with it's comrade. Salamance @ Life Orb Naive Intimidate 84 Atk / 216 SpA / 208 Spe Draco Meteor Fire Blast Crunch Brick Break This is usually used as a late-game sweep, when half of the opponent's team is killed off by Blaziken. It OHKOs Kingdras with Draco Meteor, and Blissey with Brick Break with ease. What it can't outpace is usually Paralyzed by... Cresselia @ Leftovers Bold Leftovers (Don't know the EVs; I got this on the GTS, and it had an Effort Ribbon at level 51, so I'm assuming that it's around 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA.) Calm Mind Thunder Wave Moonlight Ice Beam Cresselia. She walls as if made of brick. The only thing I don't like about her is that Moonlight has only 8 PP. I'm surprised it's not in more OU teams. With Jumpluff's great Sunny Day support, Moonlight restores 50% or 66% rather than a meager 25%. Lucario @ Choice Band Adamant Inner Focus 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 6 HP ExtremeSpeed Close Combat Blaze Kick Stone Edge As much as I like Lucario, I'm thinking about replacing it. ExtremeSpeed kills off Focus Sashers or weakened Pokemon, Stone Edge is for Gyarados, and Blaze Kick is for abuse if Sunny day is in play. (That Rhymes! :bidoof:) Overview It may have Sunny Day, but this is NOT a full-fledged Sunny Day team! Sunny Day is mainly used for getting Sandstorm off the field, and powering up Overheat, so it can get vital OHKOs. This team has problems with Bullet Punch Scizor, but what team doesn't? Regardless, I'm still looking for a good counter for it that's name isn't Rotom-H. I might put Fake Out Ambipom in Lucario's place. So yeah, RMT.
  5. My previous thread was closed because I was "not taking advice" when I was taking all advice except the Zapdos addition. I appreciated all advice honestly. Suggestions Given Porygon-Z-Thunderbolt /Done Kingdra-Life Orb /Done Remove Probopass /Done Remove Shuckle as starter /Done still going to use but not as starter Add Gengar /Going to do in place of Probopass Remove Metagross /Thinking of what to replace With Add Zapdos / I have no clue what else to add to complete my team so I would like the help of the more experienced battlers here.
  6. This is, for the most part, my first team I actually put some thought into on Shoddy. I've greatly enjoyed being able to have nearly every legal move available with a few clicks instead of "ah screw it, too much breeding." Based off of one of the better rater's teams at SPPF. His original team is located here The Lead of Awesome sillyhatsonly (Bronzong) @ Flame Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP/88 Def/168 SDef Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd) - Light Screen - Gyro Ball/Earthquake - Confuse Ray - Trick This is basically THE lead that works against all the common leads nowadays. People who think they'll be keeping that Metagross or Swampert around so they can wall teams to no end HATE this guy. They set up Stealth Rock, I give them a Flame Orb and take their Leftovers. Against other Bronzong leads, well, they NEVER pack Trick. I usually get a Lum Berry if I'm up against a Trick Room Zong. Sometimes Meta might give me a Occa Berry. This serves as a pretty decent special wall without having to resort to Blissey. Confuse Ray helps force out some switches (especially if Magnezone comes in, which can be annoying). Due to Magnezone being a fairly common switch in, I'm thinking of ditching Gyro Ball for Earthquake. Light Screen is great team support, and since Rotom is packing Reflect and WOW, I think LS works best here. The leads that give me problems are quick Taunters, which are usually the common suicide leads, or a few of the Fake Outers. With the exception of Weavile, I usually end up switching in the Rotom form. Weavile w/ Pursuit would screw him over, and that usually isn't seen often. Smeargle/Breloom with Spore usually means Tentacruel is gonna go to sleep. Machamp is seriously annoying, but is a fairly rare lead. --- The Physical Sweeper (pic removed, it was huge) Infernape (M) @ Choice Band Ability: Blaze EVs: 56 HP/252 Atk/200 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Close Combat - Stone Edge - U-turn - Fire Punch Everyone just assumes it'll be some MixApe. But why not just use that ridiculous movepool Ape gets and aim for one stat? With the additional bulk, it helps Ape comes in on NFE hits and still survive, making him a decent check on Scizor and some of the Rotom forms. Flare Blitz is not favorable due to recoil. Thunder Punch was tested out, but I found it fairly redundant with Rotom around. After the inevitable Rotom/other ghost is gone, I've had Close Combat just sweep half of a team. Scizor, Heatran, Kingdra, Vaporeon, Skarmory, they all HATE coming in on it. And the only ones with a chance to do anything are those packing priority (ExtremeSpeed, Bullet Punch), and he resists steel! --- The Lead in the Middle Swag (Swampert) (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Torrent EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 SDef Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd) - Stealth Rock - Roar - Ice Beam - Earthquake After I ditch the Flame Orb and maybe set up Confuse Ray, this guy comes in. He's not vital to my strategy, so I'm okay if he dies off after SR is set up. But man, is it great to scout teams with Roar and let them rack up SR damage. Roar is also a great check on Calm Mind Suicune and other would be sub-abusers. --- Obligatory Rotom Forme (no horrible image available) sledgehammer (Rotom-c) @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP/160 Def/56 Spd/40 SAtk Bold nature (+Def, -Atk) - Will-o-wisp - Reflect - Leaf Storm - Discharge I've gottena lot of "lol no Shadow Ball?" but it's job isn't to fight ghosts. It's a great check on Gyarados and Swampert. Scizor's Pursuit does lol damage after WOW is on, and even worse with Reflect. This is by far the best thing about Shoddy, Rotom forms, and I can't wait to try the others out. I haven't had too many problems with Heatran switch ins, which I haven't seen too much of lately. But they take decent enough damage from Discharge anyway. This is also the guy that handles most of the suicide leads, and I usually end up with 50% or more health left over. --- Spinner shedinja (Tentacruel) (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Liquid Ooze EVs: 252 HP/76 Def/160 SDef Bold nature (+Def, -Atk) - Knock Off - Rapid Spin - Swagger - Surf Yeah, no one is particularly SR weak, but that and Spikes, I just don't like the damage racking up. If it comes out early, I can usually predict a Rotom switch in and Knock Off their Leftovers. RS for obvious reasins. Swagger because Confuse Ray is apparently illegal. Surf because Heatran and others were giving me too much trouble without a decent attack. I originally had Icy Wind to help slow some foes down, but it wasn't worth the move slot. It does add another grass weakness, but honestly, it hasn't effected me too much. I love Knock Off. It screws up so much stuff. --- Obligatory Scizor (actually, this picture is pretty good) gold (Scizor) (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Technician EVs: 252 HP/184 Atk/72 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Brick Break - Bullet Punch - Swords Dance - Substitute With the added speed, Scizor is basically my check on status that isn't early game Spore. I sub up, SD, and see what happens. I can at least weaken a Lucario/Heatran switch in before being forced to switch out. But i've often been lucky enough to get +4 to +6. The only thing is Gyarados rips this d00d apart, so I have to play this for the later part of the game, or at least make sure Rotom is still healthy.
  7. Well.. Really its an update of my old one but I didn't post it here. Any advice is appreciated Azelf @ Focus Sash Ability: Levitate EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef) - Stealth Rock - Psychic - Explosion - Fire Blast --- Very common lead and for good reason. For the rest of the team I'll put a few comments about why/how I'm using it but its an azelf lead so... yeah... Gengar (M) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Levitate EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Thunderbolt - Focus Blast - Hidden Power [ice] --- Revenge killer that surprisingly enough turns into a pretty good late game sweeper. HP ice instead of the more common fire is for mence and other dragons. I've considered trick but I don't want to lose a move for it and gengar is a bit too frail to pull it off. Salamence (M) @ Lum Berry Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 HP/180 Def/76 SDef Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Dragon Dance - Outrage - Earthquake - Roost --- Not the most common mence set but certainly effective. I've always been a fan of bulky DDers and the lum berry is useful both for absorbing status and getting a free DD and for curing confusion after an outrage. I've had people ragequit after they get mence down to low health only to have him roost Heatran (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Flash Fire EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef) - Fire Blast - Earth Power - Explosion - Toxic --- Really easy to switch in thanks to its resistances and great at forcing switches. If I predict a switch from the opponent upon seeing heatran I normally use toxic. This gives me a good chance to status a common counter to heatran (scouting in the process) and then lets me choose a move (or escape) depending on what they bring in. Toxic was chosen over WOW because of the ability to do damage over time and because I simply can't stand the accuracy of WOW Jolteon (M) @ Choice Specs Ability: Volt Absorb EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [Grass] - Shadow Ball - Baton Pass --- Not much to say about this, standard jolteon, tbolt breaks things, faster than a ninja, can scout early game. I chose HP grass so I'm not completely walled by pert Machamp (M) @ Choice Band Ability: Guts EVs: 128 HP/252 Atk/128 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Close Combat - Payback - Ice Punch - Thunderpunch --- The new addition to the team. This used to be a subpunch breloom which I'm considering going back to but the huge physical power of this set really compliments jolteon's massive special power. It normally only stays in for a couple of turns because the (s)/def drops from CC really start to hurt it. I'm considering switching the ability to noguard and the stab move to dynamic punch but this would come at a loss of power and make it hurt a lot more by status so I'm still undecided. Type chart No huge type weaknesses and 8 immunities including 3 to ground.
  8. Just putting it out there, I like using teams that are different. I'm also wondering who, if I should, to give Stealth Rock to. Weavile-Focus Sash Hasty&Pressure EVs: 4HP/252Atk/252Spe -Fake Out -Taunt -Counter -Ice Punch Your basic anti-lead, especially for suicide leads. Fake Out nulls enemie's Focus Sashes, Taunt prevents Stealth Rock/Toxic/that bad stuff, and Ice punch is for Aerodactyl/dragons and counter is mostly for late game/Blissey Scizor-Life Orb Adamant&Technician EVs: 176HP/100Atk/56Spe/176SpDef -U-Turn -Roost -Quick Attack -Pursuit Another basic build. Quick attack makes up for Scizor's bad speed, Roost is there because it's good, and Pursuit is another attack, but also works with U-Turn for anticipating an attack. Swampert-Leftovers Careful&Torrent EVs: 226HP/61Atk/223Def -Earthquaker -Curse -Waterfall -Avalanche I'm probably most proud of this guy, mostly because he's unusual and can take a hit. Screw special attacks, Curse+Avalanche works for me and Equake and Waterfall help. Gallade-Expert Belt Jolly&Steadfast EVs: 56HP/252Atk/200Spe -Shadow Sneak -Bulk Up -Brick Break -Psycho Cut Since apparently a faster enemy can trash a Gallade, I put some speed into his build and gave him two STAB moves, Bulk Up (duh), and a surprise ghost attack. Venusaur-Leftovers Sassy&Overgrow EVs: 252HP/252Def/6SDef -Sludge Bomb -Leech Seed -Sleep Powder -Razor Leaf Meant to take hits and be annoying, Leech Seed is annoying as well as Sleep Powder. Sludge Bomb isn't the best, but I don't want two grass STAB attacks Arcanine-Leftovers Adamant&Intimidate EVs: 8HP/250Atk/252Spe -Hidden Power (Ground) -Overheat -Extremespeed -Howl I could've had an Energy Ball Ninetales, but I like Arcanine's better stats more. It's a fairly basic Arcanine build. Any help to get me out of my nubiness is appreciated.
  9. well if anyone can i would really appreciate it:biggrin: first my main team and the best one i think i have: Exeggutor/Coconut held item:focas sash attacks:sunny day, solarbeam, explosion, sleep powder Cresselia/Moonlight held item:leftovers attacks:Moonlight, reflect, ice beam, thunder wave Togekiss/Lovely held item:leftovers Attacks:thunder wave, air slash, roost, nasty plot Scizor/X held item:life orb attacks:bullet punch, swords dance, roost, superpower Breloom/Breloom held item:toxic orb attacks:spore, focas punch, seed bomb, substitute Heatran/Heatran held item:choice scarf attacks:fire blast, earth power, explosion, dragon pulse _________________________________________ My second team: Starmie/ELITE STAR held item:leftovers attacks:thunderbolt, recover, surf, ice beam Gengar/Dark held item:life orb attacks:thunderbolt, shadow ball, focas blast, hidden power(Fire) Skarmory/SKAR held item:Leftovers attacks:Brave Bird, roost, whirlwind, spikes Umbreon/SHADOW held item:leftovers attacks:curse, payback, wish, baton pass Ninetails/SILVER held item:leftovers attacks:Flamethrower, energy ball, hypnosis, nasty plot Hippowdon/POW!! held item:Leftovers attacks:Roar, earthquake, stockpile, slack off _______________________________________ Here are some other pokes that i havent assembled into teams yet, if someone can help me put a new team together with these pokemon it would help or even with other pokemon that arent here. 12. Blaziken (male) Nature: Jolly Ability: Blaze Item: Choice Band EVs: 255 ATK / 255 SPEED Moves: Flare Blitz Stone Edge Superpower Thunderpunch I gave the advice for Blaziken that I was given some thought, tested it out, and I like it. After all, it got me to the second battle with the Tower Tycoon, and helped me win. But I'm wondering if I should replace Thunderpunch with something like Earthquake (I decided to ditch my whole "style" thing with moves). I only keep Thunderpunch to deal with Gyarados, and other water types. I tested Stone Edge on a Level 100 Gyarados and it did not OHKO it. Shiny Gardevoir (female) Nature: Timid Ability: Synchronize Item: Lum Berry EVs: 188 SP.ATK / 67 DEF / 255 SPEED Moves: Psychic Calm Mind Focus Blast Thunderbolt Same as before. Though I am thinking about leftovers for her. The disadvantage to that is that my friend could now use his Starmie to thunder wave her without much worry. Salamence (male) Nature: Jolly Ability: Intimidate Item: Yache Berry EVs: 255 ATK / 255 SPEED Moves: Outrage Fire Blast Earthquake Dragon Dance Like I said before, I ditched my "style", and Salamence's earthquake has done him well. Other than that he is the same. Roserade (female) Nature: Timid Ability: Natural Cure Item: Black Sludge EVs: 188 SP. ATK / 67 DEF / 255 SPEED Moves: Energy Ball Shadow Ball Sludge Bomb Sleep Powder Same as before. I am thinking about giving her a choice specs and teaching her Leaf Storm, but her sleep powder is too useful to throw away. So I'm still not sure. Milotic (female) Nature: Modest Ability: Marvel Scale Item: Salac Berry EVs: 255 SP.ATK / 255 SPEED Moves: Ice Beam Recover Hydro Pump Mirror Coat Same as before. I'm thinking about hypnosis, but one: it is innacurate, and two: Mirror Coat has proved really useful to me in the past a lot of times. For instance, using Mirror Coat, she can usually OHKO a Kyogre, provided that the Kyogre used Thunder. Metagross (genderless) Nature: Adamant Ability: Clear Body Item: Life Orb Moves: Meteor Mash Agility Explosion Earthquake EVs: 204 ATK / 152 SP.DEF/ 154 SPEED I ditched ice punch and taught Metagross explosion. It packs more power than ice punch, and if unresisted, it can usaully OHKO the opponent's pokemon. I use it when either Metagross' HP is low (after he used agility), or if it is my opponent's last pokemon. If I make a mistake or something this time, can you please not close this thread? Can you just inform me of any mistakes, and I'll correct them when I have the time? Please rate.
  13. I would like someone to make these pokemon for me and trade over wifi if they could. I don't really what people want for their services so can someone tell me so I have a clue? Also: I have an AR... Would I need anything else if you were to give me an AR code? How would it effect the game? Please and thank you to anyone that helps.
  14. So just a disclaimer. I'm kinda new to this, so team dynamics and synergy will probably be broken in a few places. Any suggestions as to how to increase it would be very welcome. Any suggestions on descriptions or how to present this topic better would be great as well. Without further ado, here is my team. --------------------------------------------- First off, my favorite pokemon that has ever existed has got to be Gyarados. With DP, it became a lot better after the Physical/Special changes. It's usage is near 20%, and I believe it deserves it. It's a beast of a pokemon, and a staple of all my teams. As such, it was an easy choice for my first member. So what counters Gyarados? Tangrowth, Metagross, Forretress, Suicune, Skarmory, and Rotom. Out of those, I don't usually see a Metagross who has Thunderpunch. Tangrowth I have seen once or twice, but I believe it isn't around enough to warrant as much a threat as Forrestres and Suicune. I've heard Skarmory is a great pokemon and commonly used, but believe it or not -- I've never encountered one, so I'm dropping it as well. So what counters Suicune and Forretress? I've had a lot of success running a Tyranitar on a Suicune. Tyranitar is also a beast of a pokemon, another one that sees high play rates. He's a great pokemon. I mean, if you eat mountains, you have to be pretty beastly. So, he happens to be countered by a lot of things, like Scizor - the most used pokemon in OU if I heard correctly. Guess what? Gyarados can counter that, so we're covered there as long as I don't throw him away too early. Swampert can effectively deal with Tyranitar, but I'm not too worried about that possibility. Usually by the time Tyranitar comes out, Swampert will have been crippled. So I don't have to stress out finding a good pokemon to cover weaknesses (I'm guessing I'm horribly wrong on this point. Please enlighten me?) So now, we have to find a third pokemon. Obvious choice being Scizor, because he's simply that good. So what counters Scizor? Heatran and Rotom-H are the most used. Tyranitar covers Rotom-H, so Heatran is my main worry. Gyarados can serve as a counter occasionally, but I don't want to stretch it that thin. So, Vaporean, Suicune, Empoleon, or Swampert will be the next pokemon. Each is pretty similar in terms of weaknesses, so I don't have much to go on there. Suicune is more of an inbetween pokemon I belive in terms of offensive and defensive, and I really dislike any legendary pokemon used in OU, so I'm going to nix it. That leaves me with Empoleon, Vaporeon and Swampert. Vaporeon can serve as a team healer, Empoleon as a wall, while Swampert could be my leader. It's a tough choice. In the end, I decided Swampert as I need a lead. So the most used counter to Swampert I see used regularly is Latias. I don't need to worry much about that because of my Tyranitar. I'm not gonna worry too much about covering in that regard -- rather at this point, I need to address how I have four physical pokemon and no serious contenders as a special. So, what is one of the best special pokemon? Gengar. Gengar is unfortunately very frail and pretty easy to counter. Scizor, Tyranitar, and Blissey each make great counters. Again, Scizor can be countered by Gyarados. So Tyranitar and Blissey are the big problems. Tyranitar is countered by Scizor, so now we have to deal with Blissey. If I'm careful, Scizor can counter her, so yet again I'm not too worried about weakness covering. However, as mentioned Gengar is very frail, and will have to be played carefully and well in order to be effective. So that's five out of six pokemon chosen. I still only have one special -- so adding another special pokemon would be great. Lucario and Togekiss each have great special attack. Togekiss works great with flinching, while Lucario is just a beast in general, and his counters are covered by my other pokemon. I like Lucario as a pokemon more than Togekiss, so it killed me when I tested this set. Togekiss easily outpaced Lucario as a more reliable pokemon, so it will fill in my final set. So that will be my final set. Time for stats and specifics! ----------------------------------------- Swampert @ Leftovers Ability: Torrent EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd) - Earthquake - Roar - Stealth Rock - Ice Beam Standard Swampert lead set. I chose Roar over Surf/Protect because I might be able to get a good look at the opposing team after setting up a Stealth Rock, and then will be able to plan accordingly how I move. The rest is pretty standard. I haven't tested this guy out as fully as I'd like, because of four guys competing for this slot. So while I don't have as great a feel as I'd like, he's still served pretty well. Gyarados @ Life Orb Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Dragon Dance - Waterfall - Ice Fang - Stone Edge Another standard set, this is a beast of a Gyarados. Very rarely does this guy ever disappoint me. I mentioned above I loved Gyarados since RBY, and he just keeps getting better. I'll send him out in order to counter, or deal with an annoying pokemon. He'll probably come out after Tyranitar and try to finish up after the rest of my team has done their job. However, he's really flexible -- I've sent him out early too, and he's performed just as well. Scizor @ Life Orb Ability: Technician EVs: 246 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Bullet Punch - U-turn - Superpower - Swords Dance This guy sees over 30% usage for a reason. He's that good. Another pokemon who never, ever disappoints. I've done massive damage each time I use him, even though opponents at this point have to know he's coming. Life Orb over Choice Band because I like to have the ability to change quickly, and use U-Turn to it's fullest. This also lets me use Swords Dance if I get the chance, which is pretty much overkill. I may want to switch U-Turn to Roost, but at this point the set has been working really well, so I don't think I will just yet. Tyranitar @ Choice Band Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Crunch - Aqua Tail - Outrage - Earthquake Standard Choice Band set, but with Outrage instead of Pursuit. I never got Pursuit working as well as I'd have liked, so I switched in Outrage, and it's been working pretty well. It throws something new in there, and it's working fine right now. I may swap it in the future, but for now... it stays. Helps me counter Latias too, although I've never actually tested that theory. It mows down teams not expecting it though, and has brought me back from a two pokemon deficit once. Togekiss @ Leftovers Ability: Serene Grace EVs: 252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SpD Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Aura Sphere - Air Slash - Roost - Nasty Plot I choose Aura Sphere over Thunder Wave because the attack never worked for me -- I'd always end up dead before I could take advantage of it. In a sense, this has become a hybrid of the Flinch and Sweeper set. It's worked great for me, and usually can do some serious damage before falling. Roost helps it just keep going, and I can switch in to some non-threats and use a Nasty Plot, which just results in pain. I wanted Lucario, but... this guy just works better for me. Not as frail, which is good considering my next guy. Gengar @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Shadow Ball - Substitute - Focus Blast - Hypnosis Standard Substitute set. I switch in, use Substitute or Hypnosis then substitute, and then just Focus Blast and Shadow Ball my way into oblivion. Very frail, but does his job well. It's had mixed results in my tests, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do with him just yet. -------------------------------------------- So that's it. Any feedback is welcome -- again, I'm kinda newb to all this, so detailed analysis descriptions (especially focusing on why) would be much welcomed. Thanks guys! Yes, this was named after Microsoft Azure. I'm a fanboy . Also, for those who care, here is a picture of weaknesses from Marriland: http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj127/desche_weyard/azure.png
  15. I hope I put this in the right section NOW. If not, can someone point me to the right section. Except for Roserade, I've had this team since Hoenn. Here they are...again. Blaziken (male) Nature: Jolly Ability: Blaze Item: Scope Lens EVs: 255 ATK / 255 SPEED Moves: Blaze Kick Shadow Claw Thunderpunch Sky Uppercut Basically, my lead pokemon. And don't tell me to replace him with Infernape. Though Infernape may be better, Blaziken has been with me since Hoenn, and I could never replace him. He holds the scope lens to make the critical hit ratios of Blaze Kick and Shadow Claw 40%. Shiny Gardevoir (female) Nature: Timid Ability: Synchronize Item: Lum Berry EVs: 188 SP.ATK / 67 DEF / 255 SPEED Moves: Psychic Calm Mind Focus Blast Thunderbolt The first pokemon I caught on my journey in hoenn, my Gardevoir uses calm mind to power up, then unleash devestating special attacks. And before anyone says anything, you'd be suprised, cause my Gardevoir's Focus Blast hits quite often. Salamence (male) Nature: Jolly Ability: Intimidate Item: Yache Berry EVs: 255 ATK / 255 SPEED Moves: Outrage Fly Fire Blast (may replace with Fire Fang) Dragon Dance The main sweeper of my team. I know Garchomp may be better, but I will always prefer Salamence. With his Yache Berry, he can survive an ice type attack (which are all too common) so he can use his dragon dance/outrage combo. Fly is mainly to get around in-game, but it can be useful in battle as well. Roserade (female) Nature: Timid Ability: Natural Cure Item: Black Sludge EVs: 188 SP. ATK / 67 DEF / 255 SPEED Moves: Energy Ball Shadow Ball Sludge Bomb Sleep Powder Roserade is the member of my team that specializes in putting the opponent to sleep, then attacking with impressive special attack. I wass going to teach her hidden power, but it turned out to be dark, which covers the same types as shadow ball. So I just decided to keep shadow ball. Milotic (female) Nature: Modest Ability: Marvel Scale Item: Salac Berry EVs: 255 SP.ATK / 255 SPEED Moves: Ice Beam Recover Hydro Pump Mirror Coat Milotic is my team's water pokemon. With Mirror Coat, she can send back any spcial attacks she is hit with at double the damage, useful because she can usually survive most special hits. Plus, since her HP gets low in the process, the Salac Berry makes her faster, so that she can either finish the next opponent off quickly, or recover before they can KO her. I didn't teach her surf because in double battle, surf hurts your ally as well, and I do't want to take a chance with that. Metagross (genderless) Nature: Adamant Ability: Clear Body Item: Life Orb Moves: Meteor Mash Agility Ice Punch Earthquake EVs: 204 ATK / 152 SP.DEF/ 154 SPEED Metagross is good to switch into another pokemon, especially if it is going to use a move that steel resists. Agility makes Metagross fast, and I mean FAST (his speed is 214!). The Life Orb he carries makes it so all of Metagross' attacks hit pretty hard, so once he is fast enough, he is difficult to take down. I found out their EVs, so I listed them. So, unless this one is closed too, any tips?

  18. Dancing in the rain! I've been testing my rain team in the TeamUber shoddy server lately under the name of squowse so if you do see that name its me, and I've been having lots of success till I fought a stalling team but even that was a close match. Due to the fact that I lost one of the logs (the one where I battled wraith89 and lost horribly) that will not be included in this collection. Enjoy and comment. Also I will be editing this post to add more battles as I go. Lanturn, the monster of the deep! 19. This team is designed for OU competative play and is focused on luring out apozing steels and threats to my dragons so that I may kill them and then allow my dragons to continue to sweep on. Here is the line up in a glance: First up Salimance (Draco) @ Life Orb Nature: Mild (+SpAtk / -Def) Ability: Intimidate EVs: Atk 72, Spe 220, SpAtk 216 Role: Crushing Lead Draco Meteor Outrage Hidden Power (Ice) Earthquake Draco has three simple jobs. To crush the oposing lead, have the opponent show their dragon counter, and optionaly to return later as a wall breaker. I know i will get a fit over not having a SR lead but the point of this is to throw off my opponent. This Dragon also handels the two most common leads easily. Taunt leads are normaly frail and suicidal already and if they expect to stop a DD Mance they are sadly mistaken. If it is a trick lead I will benefit all three ways! I get a scarfed Mance, Band Mance, or a Specs Mance! Now were is the problem with that? Hidden Power Ice is effective against more Leads than Fire Blast (Aerodactyl, Togekiss, Glyscore to name a few) and the EVs were only moved slightly to Beat out all base 95 pokemon who chose a speed positive nature and max out the speed stat. (Like glyscore leads) Next is Metagross (Meta) @ Expert Belt Nature: Naughty (+Atk / -SpDef) Ability: Clear Body EVs: Atk 252, Spe 134, SpAtk 124 Role: The Trick Meteor Mash Thunder Punch Hidden Power (Fire) Grass Knot Metagross is so common that many teams carry a counter. This counter would normaly be a bulky water and is used to counter all steels and some dragons. Metagross is setup bait to some of those with the wrong set. Meta has a set designed to counter these counters though and clear the way. and he can use HP Fire to dent any steel dumb enough to come in as well. This opens the way for Scizor, Kingdra, and also scouts the team to a good level that i should know at least one or two partners to the bulky water or the lead that has not come out yet. My only question is should i add earthquake over meteor mash to counter absolutly everything that may come in? (heatran and magnezone come to mind) Now the fun parts (and yes we are still in Hoenn) Latias (Purity) @ Choice Scarf Nature: Timid (+Speed / -Atk) Ability: Levitate EVs: Hp 80, SpAtk 252, Spe 176 Role: Dragon / Gyara Counter Draco Meteor Surf Thunderbolt Trick This Latias is now changed to handel DD Mance and DD Gyara as well as some other common threats to the over all line up. (Thanks Dimi) The Alternate Scizor (Big Red) @ Choice Band Nature: Adamant (+Atk / -SpAtk) Ability: Technician EVs: Hp 248, Atk 252, Spe 8 Role: Latias Partner / Mid game Sweeper / Scout / Revenge Killer (A lot I know lol) Bullet Punch Pusuit U-Turn Superpower As I said in the previous paragraph Big Red's main job is to counter latias's counters. He also scouts for me with U-Turn. Revenge kills alot with Bullet Punch + STAB + CB + Technician. Destroys with pursuit. And finaly sweeps later game with moreBullet Punch + STAB + CB + Technician. The last Dragon of Johto Kingdra (Drache) @ Leftovers Nature: Naughty (+Atk / -SpDef) Ability: Sniper / Swift Swim EVs: 252 Atk, 232 Spe, 24 SpAtk Role: Mid Game Sweeper Dragon Dance Outrage Waterfall Hydropump Drache is dragon in German if the name confused you. Drache is only resisted by empoleon and shedinja so late game should have no problems with only dragons as his weakness. If an opening comes up early I take it though. The Speed EVs are just enough after one DD to out speed base 130s. Sniper is nice with a Critical hit but Swift Swim will let me abuse Rain Dance teams... Advice? The only Native to the Region Heatran (Hot Head) @ Choice Scarf Nature: Naive (+Spe / -SpDef) Ability: Flash Fire EVs: Hp 6, Spe 252, SpAtk 252 Role: Fire Counter / Steel Counter / Revenge killer Fire Blast Earth Power Hidden Power (Grass) Explosion Hot Heat gets out early in the game but I just like to keep things organized. He generaly comes in on the steels that came on one of my dragons or he took the heat from a fire type that came out on my Metagross or Scizor and got Flash Fired. He helps round off the team and keeps things flowing. I would like to thank you now for taking the time to comment on and rate my team. All advice is greatly apreciated.

  22. As the title implies, I have an idea for an interesting team that I want to implement in my area during local tournaments (unofficial). I want to make an HP Sap team. Basically, I'm going to spam obnoxious amounts of sleeping agents and life leechers. Put my opponent's team to sleep, leech seed them, and continue to sap their HP while maintaining their sleep status. Obviously I need to watch out for Ice and Fire. Please don't post telling me that, it's kinda obvious. With that aside, I AM looking for a way to keep those things away, so suggestions for moves will be greatly appreciated. Also, this team is meant for Doubles only, which increases the challenge. So far I have two Pokemon in mind - Breloom and Tangrowth. *King* Breloom @ Toxic Orb Poison Heal - Spore - Leech Seed - Mach Punch - Thunderpunch *Bojanbo* Tangrowth @ i have no idea, probably leftovers Chlorophyll - Sleep Powder (Can I egg move Spore? It's in the same group as Shroomish/Breloom) - Leech Seed - Knock Off - Seed Bomb All advice is appreciated. Still need 4 Pokemon (IF these don't get replaced). Any Pokemon selection advice, move advice, and item advice is welcomed. On an ending note, not only is this team for doubles, but the particular group of whiners I'm trying to stomp with this obnoxious team has a "No Same Item" rule, meaning my Pokemon must all have different items. Their policy is "if it beats you, ban it", I swear. :grog: EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention, no idea where the EVs should go either. If this team wins, it'll be up on fliers all over my city as "Team ProjectPokemon". Put your heart into it! EDIT2: Maybe that sounds cheesy but I really don't care. If I actually get any help with this I'm not taking all the credit, that's not cool. Also, I was thinking about a Gengar, abusing Hypnosis or something like that. I dunno.
  23. I want to request for a pokemon team. All the IVs are maxed. If you can help please PM me so I can give you my email so we can see whether both of us are online at the same time or not through msn. (: Many thanks
  24. This is pretty much my first competitive Pokemon team so don't yell at me if I have some really obvious mistakes. This team is focused around Guts Activation Swellow. Please help me improve it. The team consists of three UU and three OU Pokemon. The Team Spiritomb Anti-lead/Rapid Spin Blocker @ Leftovers Pressure Careful 252 HP / 140 Atk / 116 SpD - Taunt - Pursuit - Pain Split - Will-O-Wisp Spiritomb's job is to mainly shut down some common leads such as Azelf and Gengar who pose a threat to the team. It also helps block Rapid Spin if it survives for whatever reason. Rhyperior Tank @ Leftovers Solid Rock Impish 244 HP / 184 Def / 80 SpD - Avalanche - Earthquake - Stone Edge - Stealth Rock Stealth Rock is a key move on Rhyperior in order to support Swellow's Facade and that small amount of damage from Stealth Rock may help to ensure the kill. Swellow Physical Sweeper @ Toxic Orb Guts Jolly 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe - U-turn - Facade - Protect - Brave Bird Swellow is my main sweeper. If it's in trouble against a Pokemon that threatens it with a high Attack stat, I can use U-turn to switch to Gyarados or Hitmontop depending on the type. Hitmontop Spinner @ Leftovers Intimidate Impish 252 HP / 72 Def / 184 Spe - Toxic - Rapid Spin - Stone Edge - Close Combat Hitmontop helps counter Steel and Rock types. It's also a Rapid Spinner which helps Swellow out the next time it switches in. Stone Edge is there to counter the common Rotom who try to block Rapid Spin. Gyarados Physical Sweeper @ Leftovers Intimidate Adamant 156 HP / 108 Atk / 100 Def / 144 Spe - Taunt - Waterfall - Stone Edge - Dragon Dance Gyarados works similarly to Hitmontop. It weakens Physical threats with Intimidate and is good for type coverage. Common counters to Swellow are Rock and Steel and Gyarados can handle the former. Rotom Rapid Spin Blocker @ Leftovers Levitate Bold 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Will-O-Wisp - Overheat Rotom helps block Rapid Spinners and is a great counter to Scizor and Metagross. Rotom is also an essential Pokemon on the team because of the Nintendo Connection Tour. They are giving out the Secret Key there and I'd like to suit the theme. Personal Opinion I probably don't have enough special defence and I may need to replace a Pokemon with a something more special based. Metagross seems to completely obliterate my team because of Clear Body which makes Hitmontop and Gyarados less effective. >.< Heatran ruins Rotom-H when it tries to counter the said Steel types so I need something to solve that problem.
