Sorry if this is in the wrong thread. So, I'm new to using PokeGen and the ir-gts and I desperately need help on how to access the IV event Suicine and Celibri pokemon and trade it to GT for SS, and then I'll recolate it to Black. If anyone could help I would love it!:wink::biggrin:

Hey, I'm new to pokegen, and to my knowledge the pokemon I made were legit. However, I used Pokecheck and found this isn't quite the case. Can I get any tips on how to make my pokemon more realistic? Here's a pic:

I tried changing my C-Gear, with the Persona 4 skin, and I'm still stuck with the defualt skin. I'm playing Pokemon White 2, BTW. What am I doing wrong? Thx in advance!

Hey. I was generating a code for a wondercard when I got two different options of codes to copy. One says "Wonder Card 6" (6th slot) and the other says "Used Wonder Card IDs" Each would give me a different code. I wasn't sure which one to pick. Some clarification please? I really appreciate it! :redface:

Hellow, i'd like to know if someone could help me resolve this problem. I have been using pokegen for about a month now and havn't had any issues untill today when i tried to load my Pokemon Black sav file. (I use Desmume) Before Pokegen would load the save without any issues but now it crashes as soon as i load my pkmn blk sav. The only changes i have made from before are using Pokegen for Heart Gold which seems to still work perfectly fine, and getting Pokegen's latest update. I Also noticed Pokegen won't load my Pkmn Blk 2 save either, which also worked before. Only Pokemon Heart Gold.

hey guys right, right, so basically im new to pokegen, ive successfully genned 2 pokemon so far thats worked for wifi RM battles, these are shiny flawless latios and shint flawless heatran which are legendaries, i genned these fine without much bother and used them on the random battles, but i dont really use them that often, today ive treid to gen a shiny Virizion and a shiny raikou, both flawless, but i keep getting problems with them on the wifi, ive must have treid 20 different things each on them , they have legit moves, abilty, stats, e.c.t, met at the right places, and so on, legit PID's you get the picture. what am i doing wrong, can someone please help me and tell me how to gen these 2, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. I was wondering if it was possible to create a Shiny Cherish Ball Salamence using Pokegen. Can someone please tell what to put in the fields in the to make it look like an event. Heres what I want it to have: Shiny Salamence Cherish ball 31 Ivs in all stats Evs: 252 Atk/252 Speed/6 Sdef Hasty Certain OT and ID Moves: Dragon Claw Dragon Dance Protect Heat Wave It has egg moves so I was wondering what should I fill out in the Pokegen to make it legit for wifi. Hello All! As I have started to make my own skins, and see myself continuing to create more in the future I've decided to create this step by step tutorial to help out! This way I can have a nice and easy place to point people towards for install instructions and as a file dump for my own created skins . What this will allow you to do: You can use any official c-gear skins that you either missed or are unobtainable due to region or release. You will also be able to use completely custom skins, I will provide my skins I have created in this thread. Ultimately you will get to turn your bland c-gear into stuff like this: PokeGen C-Gear Tutorial First and foremost you will need access to your save file. If you are simply running on an emulator or a flash cart this is easy and you should already have the knowledge of how to get this! If you are wanting to use this on your retail cartridge you will need a save dongle to retrieve your save file and then put it back on your cart. That being said, lets get started! Open up PokeGen and load your save (File>Open). Your save will load, and you will see all your Pokemon in your party and boxes show up. We are not going to change or mess with them at all, so if you are trying to keep a clean and cheat free game don't worry, the save will be fine! Your next step is to open up the C-Gear tool (Tools>C-Gear Background) You will see a new window pop up that has your current C-Gear in the left hand box. The right hand box should be empty. In my example below you can see the pikachu c-gear skin which is a standard skin available on the global link to anyone. Click the "Open" button and navigate to the C gear file that you would like to change it to. This has to be a C gear file type. Select your file in the browser and hit open. You should now see your desired skin on the right hand box. If everything looks correct on the right hand side, click the arrow in between the boxes to overwrite the c-gear skin that is currently on the game. You should now see both boxes have the skin that you want to use. That's all you need to do, pretty simple right? Close out the C-Gear Window, and save your changes! Now just put this save file back on your cartridge and you've got yourself a spiffy new c-gear to make everyone else jealous! Ive searched youtube, forums, pokecheck, all types of sites to try and get it right but everytime i try to make a pokemon with pokegen for pokemon pearl something always comes out wrong to make my pokemon ineligible. I would very much appreciate if someone could make a personal video of the pokemon im trying to make. It might be a bit much to ask for just myself, but i would very much appreciate it. Anyone looking to help i can send the details of the pokemon, stats, trainer id etc etc...

I basically want to do something that is like when latias and latios are roaming around in ruby and sapphire. But i want to be able to do this with custom pokemon that i make with pokegen... I'm not sure how to do this so... plz help when you can. Sincerely, popcornrulez

Hello, I am new to Pokegen. I have used it on my old Pearl for like a month and it has been working perfectly on that game. Now I decided to try it out in Black. Pokegen updated to 3.1.3. Now when I go to the "met" tab in Pokegen the game section there is only "Black (2)/White(2)" there. The intended game is Black and White. IDK if that was there before b/c this is my first time using Pokegen on Black. But, does this matter when I try to use it on my 3DS or Black? I am doing everything just like before: I change my DNS settings and got to my game to the GTS trade, but nothing happens. The only thing that happens is that it a lil bit longer to the check GTS status. I am wondering if uninstalling it and just redownloading the older version of Pokegen will fix this? -if I do that can someone give me a link to the older version? Or, is there a way to uninstall the updates? If someone can help it would be appreciated! Thanks

For the past month or two, I've not been able to use PokeGen properly because where it had the portal to take it to the GTS on Pokémon Black, It told me I had to email them (Which I did twice) and right now there is a charity thing on, And I really don't know how to do this, Since I'm new to PokéGen..

How do I change the language? cause it won't let me change it. The other languages are unclickable

Hi all, my name is Zappo23! This is my very first tutorial, a complete guide to PokeGen for beginners. I tried to answer as many questions as possible with this tutorial, explaining every part with painstaking detail. This is the first tutorial that I'm posting. The reason I chose to make a PokeGen tutorial is that information about how to use it seemed too scattered. So, I decided to make a full-fledged tutorial. In Word, it's 24 pages long :biggrin:. But luckily for you, I have it here in PDF format hosted by Scribd. I have been trying for a while now to make these pokemon legal for pokemon white nintendo wi-fi connection. However, every time I send them to my ds and attempt to use them in random matchup, they do not pass the hack test and i get the "There was a problem with your pokemon, and they could not participate" message. I followed every guide I could find and made sure they followed the guidelines. The problem probably has something to do with the info in the "Met" tab of pokegen. That or the fact that a few of them have dream world abilities. **Note maybe the custom moveset smeargle I made can just never be legit... None of them have any wierd glitches that wouldn't be legit (like the Zigzagoon one), although the Reuniclus is shiny. I know it is probably something really simple, but it has reached a point where I could never figure it out myself... The files are under attachments, and thanks in advance!

Ok, first post here. When I save a .pkm file with pokegen v3.0.4, I receive it in-game and the stats are set to zero in my party, and set to what they should be in the pc boxes. And when I open the .pkm file in pokegen, the stats are set back to normal again... any way to fix this?

Hey guys, I have a Pokemon Team here and I cannot get it to work at all. One of them (Or all of them) won't work via WIFI. I am just wondering what is the problem with them. I CANNOT make any LEGIT Pokemon at all, there has to be something I'm doing, I'm using PokeGen BTW. Also I took Thundurus out of the Party and it still won't work. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys! :biggrin::biggrin: P.S: My Blaziken won't upload. SORRY! Lemme know if these seem Legit and if so, I'll upload Blaziken!

Hi so I just made some pokemon and I used the DNS from this website right here: http://www.pokegts.us/upload_file.php# I went did everything including entering DNS server thing and moving the 1st pokemon on the 1 box away and checked it million times it is right and when I went into the GTS my character clicked on the computer an nothing happens.Just the regular screen.No pokeballs coming out of the sky nothing just regular old GTS.What am I doing wrong?Is there sometthing I could do?Thanks :3

Look i've been trying to get this jirachi with HP fire (70), psychic, grass knot and clam mind but everytime i do the legality checker says "Hacked or unknown pokemon" and then when i'm trying to download it there are like 5 "?" signs and SMR2010 in the nickname :mad: i don't know what's going on with the ID it's supposed to be 06260 but it always changes into 6260 =S guys any help?

PokeGen is now maintained by Mat. Current version: 3.1.13 <-- THIS IS A LINK, SINCE PEOPLE DON'T GET IT Be sure to always keep backups of your save files prior to editing. I'm not perfect, mistakes can exist in the program still. This program can be used for Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 for the following tasks: Generating Action Replay codes to create Pokemon, modify the Pokedex, and add Mystery Gift data, including exporting to an XML file that can be dragged to the Action Replay code manager Loading and saving of save files. Pokemon data and Pokedex data can be fully modified. Loading and saving of party and PC .pkm files (136, 220, and 236 byte, encrypted and unencrypted) Adding Wonder Cards to save files Conversion of Action Replay codes into Pokemon information (This is limited.) Finding a PID to match IVs, nature, gender, ability, shininess, and hidden power type/power - with variable IVs Recalculating save file checksums Editing items Editing C-Gear background images Most of what you need to know to use the program is self-explanatory. However, there are now tooltips explaining just about everything in it. There are some things that aren't quite covered though: Windows XP or newer is required. (However, it does run without issues on "emulated" Windows programs for Mac OS and Linux.) (This is only applicable to generation 4 games, and maybe not even HG/SS.) Using codes for party Pokemon can sometimes cause bad eggs upon activating the code. You can just activate it again and it should fix the problem. (You can check the summary after activating each time to see if it's fixed, or just close the party display and re-open it.) I don't think there's any way around this. As far as I know, this has no negative effect on the game when you save, as long as you don't save it with a bad egg. (I'm not even sure if saving with a bad egg would be harmful, but there's no reason to do so.) Pokemon can be dragged around amongst party/box slots. .pkm files can be dragged into and from party/box slots. You can associate compatible files (save files, .pkm files, etc) with PokeGen to be able to easily load them from Explorer windows. Holding alt and clicking a Pokemon icon will display that Pokemon's information instead of requiring you to right click and "View data". Holding shift + alt and clicking a Pokemon icon will set the slot's data with the tab's data. Obviously this is equivalent to right clicking and selecting "Set". If you don't want to receive updates to certain languages, delete the corresponding language file. If you can't figure out how to do something, read the tooltips. For those that don't know, tooltips are an informative message that gets displayed when you stop your mouse pointer over a control (editbox, dropdown box, button, etc) for a short period of time. There's also the questions and answers thread that's being updated occasionally. Note the date on posts in this thread if you're reading through it. There were many changes to the program since its initial release, including a rename, removal of generation 3 support, and other major redesigns. Also, this thread used to be the only way to post feedback/bugs for the program, prior to a forum section being made. That's why it has tons of posts when it's a locked thread.
