When the absolute difference between the player's Trainer ID and Secret ID is rather small (approximately less than 230) and has a Pokemon with the Cute Charm ability (of a select gender) in the lead of the party (ie. a Cleffa), shiny odds can be increased up to 21.34%, as long as the wild Pokemon species has a gender ratio that allows it to be male or female. This build has enough attack to OHKO most sleep spammers like Amoongus, Venusaur, ect. It also has enough bulk to take something like earth power from venusaur. Googles as a held item to stop the sleep powder being effective on it
