    To be 100% literally honest, it's due to their original US release in 1998. When they hit, most 7-11-year-olds spooged about them. As they should. The TCG made them spooge even more. Thing is, gamers are nerds - by default. And us nerds... we like to talk nerdy - a lot - to EVERYONE. And nerdy talk is annoying TO EVERYONE, even other nerds, since we have a tendency to ramble and fan squee the whole time. And being a little kid = x 65421321321321 annoying stat. Hell, any fan squee is annoying. It's just when it came out there where SO MANY of us and ALL OF US where so young and we wouldn't shut our rambly mouths. We talked about it SO MUCH, and the publicity was SO HUGE it just annoyed the hell out of anyone who didn't care or thought it was stupid. It just got so big with all the publicity and the "success" of the anime, that it became a big, fat, worldwide stereotype. It's mostly North America that I know has such a bad reputation, but it exists world-wide. Like all stereotypes, it's based on fact, but it's majoritivly untrue :3 I mean, really? What other game is there where you can make your fire monkey bludgeon an electric squirrel to "faint"? NONE. Honestly, all pokemon is is a colored, glorified version of cock fighting

    Hey guys. Should of posted this earlier, buuuuut I was distracted by *SHIIIIIINY* Hey guys, I'm Lady Aquarii, the old-school but oh so new-quality girl from Nashville, TN. I hate country music, as most Nashville natives do, and I've lived in Nashville in Bellevue in the same house since I was born. This city's reeeeally small and quiet, but it's full of annoying-as-hell tourists-turned-citizens that you constantly have to put up with. It's a nice city/town/county/whatever-it's-everything, and it's the most northern-minded, southern-mannered town anywhere. It's the squat middle of the south and we seem to be the eye of the tornado in culture and style. My first name's Anna, and my nicknames are Hoshi and Lilith, as well as several screen names etc. You can call me anything as long as it's not meant as an insult :33 I'm 21, born Jan 27th, and a January Aquarius X33~<3 Which makes me awesome B333 I've played Pokemon since Gen I with Yellow, and have mastered Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, Leaf Green, Emerald, and Diamond all legitly :3 I also don't intend to hack my Platinum until I finish the game :33 I'm weird like that Annnnd... Uh... I love cats and I'm a complete otaku? I'm obsessed with Sailor Moon and have a fanfic for it ^^;; Actually, my name is based off the main character from that series, Sailor Aquarius, and my avatar is of her that I made myself :33 I'm a home-made gamer and I prefer RPGs and FPSs. I'm a loyal Halo fan as well as an old-school Sims fan, even though I'm trying to get out of it, since it's so addictive and I spend more time downloading stuff than playing the game I'm a Zelda fan as well Aaaaand, my favorite pokemans are Mewtwo, Lugia, & Totodile-> Feraligatr I should shut up now >.>...

    1. Water - I'm a water-starter loyalist by heart and by standard. I've grown up with a pool in my back yard since I was born (it's still behind me! It needs it's liner changed though In-ground FTW!), and I've been swimming since before I could walk. I love the sea and ocean, etc. The power of water is tremendous and is not to be overlooked. I love water as a power, and not only is it one of the most powerful types in the game, it has the biggest and one of the most powerful move pools in the game. 86% of the HMs throughout all 4 gens have been water based. Water Pokemon are powerful, and have powerful move pools to back them up. 2. Electric - Yellow was my first game, and my Pikachu, Diana (I made her a giiiiiirl. Even before 2nd gen genders >|), kicked some serious ass. Whenever I faced her and talked to her she'd always be beaming and give me three floating hearts X33 Like Water, Electric has very powerful pokemon as well as move polls. And.. and... Sailor Jupiter is my favorite inner senshi? *shame* 3. Psychic - Not only is the pokemon love of my life Mewtwo (I have fooooour 8B), psychic is an insanely awesome force to be reckoned with. All of the psychic types in the game are wonderflly grounded and powerful, and psychic moves are insanely hard-hitting. Plus, psychic pokemon always have cool designs and are some of the most memorable pokemon of the games :3 Otherwise: 4. Dark, 5. Steel, 6. Ground, 7. Flying, 8. Ice, then 9. Dragon ...maybe. Dragons are so overused and over coddled they're boring to me, and it's more fun to beat them with an ice pokemon ^_~*

    Wow, looking at that link just reminds me how fire is one of the least populated types in the game O_o;; Water being the most populated Wow. Cyndaquil->Typhlosion for me. Had my boy in Crystal. He never let me down, ran around, or hurt me. He was a wonderful starter, and one of the only fire pokemon I've ever gotten attached too ^^;;

    I have Diamond and Platinum. Diamond I bought alongside My DS lite my mom bought me as a high school graduation gift. I also bought a DS "starter kit" Because I needed a case 'n shit. I didn't get it until well after it was out because I had no money, and my parents never buy me anything unless they think it's their idea Platinum I pre-ordered from Wal-mart the day they listed it B3 The only reason I was able to was because I had gotten a $50 gift card for Wal-mart from my mother + stepdad for christmas (since that's apparently what my sister asked for. Giving me the same thing is "being fair" not not asking me what I want to them >>...) I didn't get it the day it came out since there was no store pickup listed when ordering online (srsly Wal-mart.com, srsly?) so I got it the fallowing monday when the mail came :3 (no mail on sunday!) I actually got an email confirmation that it was shipped friday, which was cool Actually I ended up ordering the "box-special" platinum box set before Wal-mart even announced they where offering it Without even knowing (it was just listed as "Pokemon Platinum" as a game on preorder D:) So when I checked my order I randomly found out that I was getting the "elusive" case with my order Actually ^^;; I didn't even know if I was going to get the Giritina figure ;; I just had the money and the ability to preorder online, so I went for it! Actually, the case it came with is REALLY sturdy, and holds up really well I'm using it to hold my DS lite and my 3 pokemon games (+ Mystery Dungeon: Darkness), and my old "starter pack" case hold all my accessories, GBA games, and Misc. crap since it was getting hard to close it ^^;; I've accumulated a lot of shit, and my "starter kit" case has a mesh pocket with a velcro close, and my platinum case just has 3 DS cart slots

    I can't think of anywhere else to post this so tell me if I'm wrong I've gotten EVERYTHING ready with RWT and I've gotten the program and the FTP server running. I can start the dump and it goes for a while, but it ALWAYS freezes! The max it's gotten too is 49%. I don't know if it's my computer or my DS, but the entire process on my DS freezes. Once it stops not a single button on my DS does anything with the program running I'm not completely sure if it's my DS or my Wireless. I'm thinking it's my DS, since even though my wireless router is password protected, it and its password is fully entered in my DS's connection settings, and have passed testing. I was told in the tutorial to leave the power plugged in and I'm wondering if when the powering is finished something in the DS ticks and hinders the upload when it thinks its finished (the charge protector goes off). That and maybe the fact that I still can't find my wall charger, so it's running on my USB charger Could that be a factor of my computer sending odd charges? I'm going to test it without the charger now, but any help and knowledge would be wonderful! Thanks :33

    Snap and Hey You! were awesome, which is hilarious since I played a friends copy at his house and got further than him on BOTH games It was funny because he got all askjdhskhc about it I've only played MD:D and it was boring in gameplay, but I liked the plot (sheerly because I was a girl and I amused myself by thinking my partner was in love with me XDDDD;. I competely AR'd my way through that game, but I did get Darkrai legally Whoo~ The plot was worth it I think. The anime version was so silly I bought the game after I finished Diamond, and it got me through last summer I'm going to try Ranger: Almia when I get the money. I've heard good things about it

    That's... well... because they kind of are Yeah, the Gen IV story was AWESOME, the pokedex was SAAAAAAAD, and the national dex features where awesome. They'll top it. You know they will. I just hope they make the Gen V pokedex without pulling it straight from their asses. That and not 86% new/baby forms of old pokemon (Seriously! Like, 23% of the pokemon were non-legendary NEW pokemon. COME ON Game Freak, you can do better!). And hey! On a home console note, maybe we can wish for an actual GOOD HC game?
