    Hello all, as you can see we have upgraded the forums to vBulletin 4.0. There were some issues that were preventing us from logging in, and when I fixed that for logging in the true issue remain so if for the las 8 hours you have been logged in but can't post or do anything that was normal. The issue is fixed now so things should function correctly. You may have to delete your cache. If you still have problems please post here and they will be addressed.

    Hi all. Due to defienace being down we are now at irc.pchnet.org. Same channels as before. I have already modified the java applet on the site to point there. For those of you with IRC clients point your client to that server. See you there, EDIT: We have decided to stay at PCHNet. Thanks to all who contributed their opinions and enjoy the new server. Thanks to the PCHNet staff as well for allowing us to use their server. Edit: We've been on Bit'sJoint IRC for a long time at this point. The network hostname is irc.bitsjointirc.net using port 6667. The Java client should automatically connect.

    Edited first post with updated version of PPRE beta 0.07. There was an error that caused the Map section not to work for HG/SS.

    Of course its not surprising that changes are not saved. You are editing a part that we have not added the save functions. Did you even read the thread?

    Hello all. We have decided that a re-programming of the main site. This should make it more powerful/flexible/dynamic. It should be possible to add many "features" that enchance user experience. In that spirit we open this thread to hear some of your suggestions. What sort of things would you like to do on the main site besides read information?

    Hello all. We are glad to announce that username change requests will now be taken. Username changes are restricted to every six months. They will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Depending on how many requests we get, we might change how we handle name changes. Just as a note. If you request a name change and then you try to log on and can't, that probably means we changed the name already, so use the new one. Also, please check if the requested name is taken or not via a Member Search.. Enjoy.

    You don't compile, its a python program. You just need to have the right dependencies: Need Python 2.6, Qt4 AND PyQt for python 2.6

    At long last the search problem has been fixed. This was a problem that plauged users for a while, where they got a message saying there was an invalid secutiry token every time they used the basic search.

    If you are using the exe you don't need python. did you chech the tmp folder and make sure it wasn't empty? Make sure there is a Table.tbl file in the same folder as the program as well. ----------------------------------------------------------- For the guy that asked about a virus. The source is available sso feel free to read/run that instead of the exe. For that you do need Qt 4 , Python 2.6 and PyQt4 for python 2.6.

    Here is an interesting read. http://www.nasa.gov/worldbook/pluto_worldbook.html The decision on whether or not it should be considered a planet was primarily based on whether it stood out from the various other objects in the Kuipler Belt. If its similar in size to alot of those then its a decision of whether it should be stripped of the planet status or if all the others should be given planet status. Also calling it a dwarf planet is irrelevant to how close it is to being a planet. I think the decision on its name was based on them still wanting it to have the word planet in its label. Would it had made people feel better if they just called it something else and not Drawf Planet? e.g., Pluto is no longer a planet, it is now simply a Kuiper Belt object! P.S. damio is right about wikipedia. Don't use it.
