  1. Agreed, will get that fixed when I get home.
  2. For those who tend not to look at the main site or those who stopped looking after realizing it wasn't getting updated too often, we'd like to announce that last weekend we uploaded the first part of the re-programmed PP. Take a look.
  3. Those are already planned and is what we are currently working on.
  4. Its a good idea. I'd need to look up how to do it though. Thanks for the suggestions.
  5. Try it again. There was a small but that made it not work perfectly for some people. Not sure if you noticed but when you posted your comment it said by - and the date. I fixed it now, so it should work. If it doesn't let me know.
  6. Fixed, thanks.
  7. Yeah, you both should have gone to forum feedback Anyways, I did something that fixes it for me. Someone at vB decided to be an idiot and thought it was fun to post empty ads in the first and last posts of each thread. Hopefully that was all the cases. If not let me know.
  8. Updated to version beta 0.08b. This fixes a bug reported by Roland in which the SoulSilver encounters were not being read correctly.
  9. We got a replacement for the forums. But he was talking about the main site. Codemonkey85: We can talk about that later. As I type I am making the system to have various styles on the site. So having a mobile style will definitely be possible. We will release the first part of the new site with two styles.
  10. It will automatically. The way to check if the program is actually editing. Is to close the program. Then re-open it. Go to where you made the changes and see if you see your changes or the old data. If you see your changes, then you're not opening the right nds file. If you don't see your changes then we are not saving this correctly. Please let us know which it is.
  11. What you are using to edit is the tmp folder. Example: I have pkmpl.nds. Setting the rom, creates a tmp_pkmpl directory. All the edits happen there. When I finish, I write to pkmplmodified.nds. I open pkmplmodified.nds in an emulator to see the changes.
  12. The ROM you are writing to is created with the same name as what you type to the left of that button. If it already exists it overwrites it. Yes in the same directory as PPRE.
  13. pyroshocker: I'll look into it once I get home from work. Or if Alpha has time before me, I'll ask if he can look into it. btw when you write ROM you have to put the name of the new rom and make sure you open that one; and of course make a copy of your save with that name. I would not overwrite the original clean rom. Rather use a second (or more) to test.
  14. Certain slots get overwritten at different times of the day. You might have edited and tested at a time when that slot was overwritten. If you are using an already existing NPC they you don't need to create a new event. Just find the corresponding script and edit it. Thanks.
  15. We are re-organizing the Pokemon Editing and Research & Development Sections of the forums. They will be in the Game Mechanics and Enhancements section.
  16. Maybe not an idiot, just not having checked the whole forum. http://www.projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?6524-Pokmon-Mystery-Gift-Editor-%28v1-2c%29 Its not on the site, but it should make it there soon, if Grovyle91 is ok with it.
  17. Did you type the full name including .nds? Also what version and language is it?
  18. Hi there. It surely sounds like an interesting project. However, as far as I know, none of the people you were pointed at has experience in objective C. So we can't be of much help. But we can help with any non-specific questions.
  19. PPRE beta 0.08 is now available (see first post). P.S. Thanks go to Alpha for the update.
  20. Guys, he asked this in the ROM Editing section. Obviously he wants to edit his ROM. To the OP: I would talk to Roland and he can tell you which to edit. Alternatively you can wait for PPRE to have those save functions.
  21. Re-download the file please. Adding warps is going to be a bit difficult right now, because not only must you put a warp in the events bu also set the map permissions to allow a warp at that location.
  22. I have updated the first post with our decision about the IRC Server which we shall use.
  23. Well, I'd like to say congratulations on the great job. I do hope this will become useful to many. I tested this briefly in mono and it seems to run ok. There is a small issue with the names containing é instead of e in Pokémon. For one I had to edit the name of the exe on windows for it to be recognized but there was still and issue with the config file. I did not have a suitable save to test completely so I don't know the extent to which that affects things. If it's not too much trouble, might I request that you not use é in the names of the config and the exe? One again, good job.
  24. It should not matter where the file is as long as the whole package is in one place. You need to navigate to the desktop in the command line. If you just open the command line and type python ppre.pyw then it won't work because it won't find the file. There is something called py2app for OS X that allows you to package the files into an app. I used py2exe on windows to make the python source into an exe (c.f. http://svn.pythonmac.org/py2app/py2app/trunk/doc/index.html ) Hope that helps.
  25. You need to run ppre.pyw. You should do this from the command line by typing: python ppre.pyw once you have navigated to the directory where the project and your rom is. This will also allow you to see any errors that might occur. If they do, then paste the contents of the error here.
