    Use Wood R4, because the save is perfectly fine, but the official firmware has not been updated, so it may not be able to play newer games like Heart Gold and Soul Silver. I have replicated the error on my R4: black screen when you try to load the save on an original R4 with original kernal, while perfectly fine on Wood.     What kind of R4 are you using? Works fine for me on SoulSilver (the games are so similer, the saves are compatible with each other)

    It's not going to be any more converted than the attached (using the UniqueGeeks.Net save converter). I haven't tested it, but it should work. b-pokehg.sav

    Granted, but it turns out to be illegal, and you are over charged with the same penalty as that of treason. I wish that my time machine was more efficient, so it didn't require a stick of plutonium per person per trip (it is really hard to come by plutonium, and it is very inconvinient to put it in the engine).

    Both versions use the exact same code. The only difference is the GUI. Could you upload the *.dsv save file somewhere?

    Heart Gold and Soul Silver have an IR port on them, which is on top of the save chip, so that it is a little harder to access the save.     Can you add the ability to read from a file in a folder? Just tried using it, and I don't feel like coping a file to the root in order to use it.

    (Haven't tried it, but looking forward to future development) @Bond697: Are you sure you are doing it correct? FTP is File Transfer Protocol, which is (probably) what Wifi backup mode uses.

    Why not use Save as? Just save it with a different name to preserve your old save file in case of corruption.

    When you press the "Save" button in a game, what happens? The data is stored somewhere - in a save file (aka *.sav file aka game save). The Action Replay DSi has a way of extracting/restoring game saves, but in *.duc format. I have a tool for conversion if nessessary. Should be easy enough to use. You will want one of the NDS save converters: http://saves.uniquegeeks.net/

    Are you converting back to DUC? It won't recognise regular save files. If you are, please upload the DUC that is not being recognized.

    Upload the save that is not being recognised, because it is likely a conversion error, rather than a Pokesav error. Also be sure you are putting the new save back into the MYSAVES folder.
