Erm, that's because Mystery Gift files, the specific wonder cards, are supposed to be used in their own generation. It's not an error message. It is literally telling you that you are doing it all wrong. Like, you can't redeem a Gen 4 wonder card on a Gen 7 save, that doesn't make sense. Normally, you're supposed to redeem it on a Gen 4 game, THEN transfer the pk4 all the way up to Gen 7. In any case, drag the wonder card to the left window of PKHeX. It should mimic the redemption and transfer procedure.

He's just showing you what stage of the game he is in. It doesn't matter. Yes, PKHeX can fix the glitch. However, PKHeX cannot fix dead batteries. For the case you linked (the reddit post), the guy doesn't have dead batteries. His battery was replaced. It is not the same issue as you are experiencing, if I understand your descriptions right.

Erm, USUM can accept any Pokémon from any generation before Gen 7, as long as it's not some kind of exclusive Pokémon (Spiky Ear Pichu, Cosplay Pikachu for example). Please DO post the image, I am very curious about this error message.

It may be possible that when your RTC is resetted, the clock will still run, but only while you’re playing the game, but I cannot be certain, as I do not have a GBA and dead battery cart with me now to confirm. Also, I'm not entirely certain, but I think part of the steps from the guy above mentions running the save file on a GBA flashcart the rest of the way? In that case, it won't work if you send it back to a GBA cart... If you decide to proceed, it’ll be at your own risk

erm. Any NDS flash cart that can run homebrew, and can run on a NDS should work fine. Note: If your intent is to fix the berry glitch, alternatively, connecting your GBA with RS to a second GBA, that has FRLG or Emerald. (instructions and various other options here) BTW, Emerald doesn't experience Berry Glitch, unless the internal battery is dead. If your internal Battery for RSE is dead, you won't be able to repair it with PKHeX.

Whoa whoa. I'm not looking for extremely precise information (though it'll be good for some of our trustworthy members to know/to have the flame passed down to them, even if it is not public). Not having information passed down to the next generation typically leads to lost information, and eventually, the death of a civilization. Don't even need the exact steps. Let's say if I'm told a NDS flash cart could overwrite a dev cart, that's pretty much enough information to detail how bloody easy it is. We previously already had an inkling that a certain mass gba reader could act as a rewriter for dev carts. It was previously speculated that these event carts were likely dupes to begin with. As much as this fear is well founded, given that we already have the information that people are rewriting dev carts to sell as event carts, I think it has already been happening behind our community's back. After all, people who were able to obtain the writer and the dev carts, likely already had this information at their disposal when they made the purchase, and they had the past 10-15 years to make all the modifications they want, and that's excluding any suspicious/unscrupulous activity. People with the tools and the devcarts has been doing this for years. If they were going to contribute them as a part of preservation, they had 10-15 years to do it. They probably already made up their minds a long time ago, regardless whether to hoard or sell as modified duplicate copies, just like how many others made up their minds a long time to ago that private preservation is better than a public preservation. I'm not arguing which view is better, as I'm sure there's merits to either argument, but I'm just saying that the situation has been dire for this long, just that we weren't aware of it. I don't see how this information would potentially make things worse, when I imagine unscrupulous actors likely bought up all the dev carts they could find to resell as events, and they had over a decade to do it.

Not entirely true. You can use those tools even if you're on original hardware. You probably just don't have access to them. 1. You can use a NDS/NDS lite and a DS flash cart to back up the save of your cartridge. With that, our guide would work for you. Once you get the save, it can be edited with PKHeX. 2. Even for original carts on GBA (let's say you don't have a NDS), Action replay and Gamesharks exists (as seen below). They work with original hardware. I *think* the first edition of these devices came out even before VBA emulator was properly a thing. Besides cheat codes, some of these can back up GBA saves too, which can in turn be used with PKHeX. First of, to be certain, redownload PKHeX from our site. How are you attempting the transfer, and what's the error message/problem? Just saying "will not transfer" isn't enough. For reference sake, what I normally do is: 1. Load a Gen 1/2 save in one window, load a Gen 7 save in another. 2. Drag the sprite from a Gen 1/2 save, and drop it on Desktop. It becomes a PK1/PK2 file. 3. Now, drag the PK2 into the UM main window. Another method, is simply dragging it across. On my end, both methods works normally, as seen below: You probably could list the steps you take, and take a screenshot of the error message (if any), or tell us how you determine "it isn't working". As for these issues, I'm not sure what questions to ask you, in order to attempt to identify what is the problem. They both open just fine for me. @Kaphotics I'm sorry but I'm not able to help narrow it down for this second issue.

Latest version of Desmume emulator on PC patches it, EXP point and game lock-out (as someone already answered you previously). As for advertisements.. has nothing to do with Pokémon games. If you dumped your own copy from a cartridge, why would there be advertisements? Based on your description you could be infected with a virus or adware. As per anything related with the internet, it happens when people download unverified files. In any case, this doesn't sound like a Pokémon problem. Whatever you downloaded, or whatever site you visited within recent timeframe, probably triggered it. Delete all files you obtained within said timeframe, run an antivirus to check your computer. If problem continues to persist, consider reformatting your computer. Nothing much we can say besides this.
