  1. Those "Extra Bytes" are part of the pkx structure, so there isn't "additional bytes" on top of the standard file format. Your original statement was a bit misleading; I don't know about the others, but it gave the impression that your file size for pkx was bigger than normal by 17 bytes. Rather, these bytes usage are not known, so "extra" in the sense of "bytes in the standard file format that it is not known if it's used or how they're used".
  2. Are you able to access the e-shop?
  3. Well as long as you can set it XOR=0, it will still work, cause the newer games use the older TID/SID combination expression for older games. Also since it's XOR=0, the PID won't change when imported up.
  4. maybe it's the latest version or something, but that causes that particular Blastoise to freeze. (with any other entry that didn't batch edit for me, it causes a freeze too. So this isn't an isolated incident) Kaphotics also already kindly explained the issue, so I can only assume it's being worked on (since we know what causes it now)
  5. Always check the guide. As long as the video's content moves along with the same guide, then the visual representation is all good. Use at your own risk, of course. There's always a slight risk of bricking. Do note that NTRboot is the method that users perform to get out of bricking, so keep your nands safe, may be useful for this method, in the unlikely chance you brick.. okay that's good Install CFW first. Once CFW is installed, and you exported your save, you can use PKHeX. Don't get ahead of yourself. IKR! No worries. At least you made another post, so I could split them here. Check the subheading and descriptions in our forums, that'll probably help you come to a decision on where to post :3
  6. https://3ds.hacks.guide/ Use at your own risk. Use whichever version that works. I personally recommend ntrboot, since it works for all 3DS/2DS and firmware, but you'll have to purchase a NDS flashcart. Since this guide is usually more updated than videos (it's hard to update a video, besides dropping another link in the description, and that may not happen) I prefer this guide. Plus every time I hacked a 3DS (whether mine or someone else's), the contents change (yay for progress), so read it up. You'll be able to (for .cia), but if you download them from sites (and didn't dump them from carts) that is piracy. Against our rules to discuss where to get them or link them. A save manager (JKSM or Checkpoint). FBI (some people use it to install apps, tho to prevent being banned, doing stuff homebrew stuff is typically better). GodMode9 (while it's an alternative loader, and not an app per se, you can use it to convert your carts to .cia) Using their official services, you'll need a Bank subscription to send to Bank, then a HOME subscription to send up to from Bank to HOME. Via PKHeX. Just create mons legally. Can't read your mind, can't tell the future. It'll be tough to know what you really need. Well, we got some tutorials, read them up, if relevant: https://projectpokemon.org/tutorials/
  7. Nice to meet you.
  8. For Gen V and onwards, they can be traded to any game. The language tag will remain KOR.
  9. Pretty sure the other event raids cannot have curse. I checked that various attacks before posting. If you doubt me, you can check the comments of every wild area news, it’s all there :3
  10. You need RNG reporter programs to add a XOR=0 function. Else get the spread of PIDs from it, then manually calculate which PID is XOR=0, then RNG that.
  11. read this: https://github.com/kwsch/pk3DS/issues/297
  12. @Kaphotics if I'm not mistaken, .PID=$shiny0 doesn't work on some entries that do not originate in SWSH. (PKHeX's batch editor stops functioning. Using Shift+Star freezes PKHeX completely. I initially thought it was TID/SID related, but other mons with the same TID/SID can have it done..)
  13. Megas' reverting after battle, is enforced behavior by the game. Unless there's documentation regarding what to change, there's no way around it. I could be wrong, but from what I know, this documentation doesn't exist.
  14. what did you use, .PID=$shiny0? It shouldn't eat up CPU. It doesn't even do seed checking or RNG checking or anything, it just gives Square Shiny by PID (basically XOR 0)
  15. Then try to find the Reswitched Discord or something, it's beyond our expertise. Let us know how it goes after you contact them.
  16. Keep it. It's where your user profile and saves are stored. If you look at the folders in the zip, you'll know what folders to delete. Note: Checkpoint and any other homebrew should be in the Switch folder. Make sure you backup the folders before deleting them. I doubt it's a format issue. I've had both on my SD card before. Just make sure everything else works.
  17. Going into RCM, and using your bootloader to inject a payload, are two different things. RCM, short for Recovery Mode, is the black screen you get when you use the jig and various button combinations (auto-RCM also goes straight to RCM when you boot up). I know TegraRCMGUI says you were successful in injecting a payload, but I don't know if TegraRCMGUI were to throw an error if Switch is not on RCM. (in essense, I don't know when and how it throws errors) With my explanation out of the way: once again, are you able to get to RCM? Fully delete the folders and the bin you have (maybe keep safe backups elsewhere on your computer). Then, redownload the Atmosphere folders into your SD, and redownload the bin for your bootlooder. [I'm asking you to delete the folders, cause sometimes people just combine folders, and that could be bad. Some contents are not meant to be mixed and matched] Speaking of bootloaders, try using the latest TegraRCMSmash instead (to see if that makes a difference). It's real simple to use: 1. Have your Switch on RCM 2. hook up the USB-C cable between your Switch and your PC 3. Drag the fusee-primary.bin onto the file icon, and it'll inject the payload for you.
  18. Wall of text; just a chunky paragraph: hard to read. If you want people to help you, be as concise and informative as possible, thanks. A few questions: 1. are you able to boot into RCM? 2. are you absolutely certain the files on the SD card are the files from the latest Atmosphere zip? 3. are you absolutely certain that the fusee-primary.bin your bootloader uses is the latest version?
  19. so is this an idea you randomly pulled out of nowhere? If you can't prove how your mon "has extra bytes", it makes it sound more like a fantasy and less like an actual phenomenon.
  20. What I meant is the Starters presently don't have the Gigantamax Flag (). (Also not talking about obtaining them in raids. I'm talking about the literal starters you start with) At this point, creatures Gigantamax (instead of Dynamax) only if they have the flag. [There's also exceptions that they won't be able to Gigantamax if the model don't exist, like Leon's Charmander (no Gmax Charmander) or event raids Milcery (no Gmax Milcery)] So the question is how to give Starters the Gmax Flag, when they didn't originally have it. In base SWSH, there was no way for an existing mon without the Gmax flag, to gain the Gmax flag. It would suggest that there's some kind of in-game mechanism introduced to give it to them (which we now know is Max Soup).
  21. you've yet to explain to me what is your determination of "there's extra bytes"
  22. how do you determine there's extra bytes to begin with. You physically counted them with a hex editor? also, I assume this is gen 7 data file? Also, unused bytes in a set format does not matter. All of the pk7 follows the same template. I guess it'll only be an issue if your Lurantis has extra bytes above other mons..
  23. The Japanese page for Max Soup was apparently ignored by your all assertion; that page gives the appearance that it is not limited to starters. I was saying not entirely true to the portion of your line that says all Japanese content. edit: I know you were expressing concerns based on the dialogue from the Japanese Direct, but the English page says the same thing at the bottom Plurality is there. The "mo" particle has been translated as well. This translated line by them captures it all. It does make it sound like it's not only the starters. Tho how are they going to validate "already been traveling with"? In terms of "already been traveling with", is it before the DLC? Is it before consuming the soup (one assumes)
  24. There's already size/height bytes for Pokémon. The unused bytes are presently, well, unused.
