While there's always a risk of banning, so far they haven't done it. Given the mon doesn't have your OFW's OT/TID/SID, they cannot definitively say "you're the hacker". It's one of the issues with local trades. Thus, who knows if their inaction comes from them noticing this problem, or them just being inactive. Trade at your own risk. You wanna hak, then you need to absorb some risk.

I don't use SX OS, so I can't answer whether you can cross install and what not. Also you should start your own thread; this line of questioning isn't related to the functionality of Checkpoint. It's off-topic from what the OP asked.

hmm I would think Checkpoint was still backing up the save for you, just using an automated name. That message basically appears when you aren't using a game to boot homebrew launcher.

then remove the .sav that you can see. Most VBA's have a battery folder (in their directories option, or whatever the relevant option is, you can check what directories exist), but maybe yours is one that doesn't use it.

Save twice in the game, before you try to modify the save. The save I used has been touched by PKHeX before, if you can use that save that means there’s something wrong with how you use PKHeX with your save.

maybe the ROM hack itself modifies base saves a bit. Does it run an Emerald save from here? (keep a safe backup of your original unmodded save)

Just load a gen 7 save into PKHeX. Whatever saves you load, is the one that PKHeX will use. Save the modified save with PKHeX. Then restore that modified save into your game. That's how you can load a save into PKHeX. and how to restore the modified save into your game.

To make your life simply, save in-game, soft reset, then export battery file. Then use PKHeX to edit that. Then Import Battery File. It differs between VBAs, but it looks something like this:

Anyhow, change the date of your Switch everyday before you launch a game, and save a game before midnight, close the game before it hits midnight, then change the date after it hits midnight, then launch the game (after midnight). The point is to always launch the game when your Switch is in a state where "date was manipulated". (If and when your Switch changes the date naturally, the state also changes; no longer "date manipulated" state. So to go back to "date manipulated" state, gotta manipulate the date again. The actual date you change to doesn't matter, just need to have at least 1 change) This way, the seed for that den (if wishing piece used) NEVER CHANGES, even if the wild area news gets updated. [Theoretically it shouldn't change if a wishing piece wasn't used, but that wasn't what I tested, so cannot give confirmed information] The species might change, but it'll still be shiny, retain IVs etc. With this way, I've retained my shiny frame for months..
