Sorry for trouble. @axelschiffer: After you edited a trainer, just load the next/another trainer and the previous (edited) one will be automatically saved temporary on the program. The program will not make the permanent changes on your rom until you hit the save button. The main purpose of this tool is to help those who don't know how to extract the content of ROM/narc to edit the trainers. Those who had the knowledge/willing to do so/too much time/does not mind the extra work/play safe you can use Kazo's tool, as it's more lightweight and you might be more familiar with it. If I could, all my B/W tools would be as simple as just opening the .nds file. I am actually hoping that people will make new and better programs to replace mine.

Actually all I did was just learn the structure of narc as well as the .nds file, and the rest was from the information gathered from all around the forum. All I know it's a Euro Pokémon White Rom, has the file .nds. I don't quite know the version. :\EDIT: It's working now afterall! Now I really want to know what actually happening.

Can I ask how does the alternate formes works? For example, when I tried to give Giratina to Shantel, it gave me 0,1,1,1. I still gave it a Grievous Orb for it to be "legal", but I would like to know how it works.

And since I want to make it simpler job for me, I put the formes simply as number instead of the name of the forme. You can still refer to sites such as bulbapedia o serebii. As for why Giratina give you 0,1,1,1, I think it's a bug and I'll look into it. However, since I'm quite busy with my life recently, I can't promise to release an update on any given time.

Unless I know what/where to start looking I won't be able to fix it. Edit: Before I post any update, I think I will post a guide/tutorial on how to use the program.
Clear Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I have been using a cracked ROM to edit this, I believe this version is the Union Room fix version as that was the last thing I need. The game still loads fine, the edits are still in place, buuuut, I can't load it in the editor anymore. Does this editor only work good in a clean ROM?

Drayano Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Just wanna say that this tool is working beautifully; I used it for the whole of the third version of my hack and it made it so much easier to set abilities/genders/formes and such. Only thing missing from Kazo's was the difficulty of the trainer; couldn't see that option anywhere so I had to use both tools interchangeably for that, but otherwise it's pretty much perfect.

I'm trying a new project here on my ROM and wanted to change the name of a Trainer at Route 18 (I think). Use PPTXT for that, which is a tool to hack Pokémon Black & White in-game text.

If there was a guide for what which Narc entry is for (e.g. a/0/0/2's 1 is for the menu etc), so I don't know exactly all that PPTXT can do besides editing dialogues and menu phrases. Yes, PPTXT is able to change the Trainer's name. It's narc entry a/0/0/2, file 190. However, a list with encrypted text will show up. Please take a look at this topic, question 6 for information on decryption.

Since she uses custom movesets, I was wondering what will happen to her Pokemon's moves if I turn off custom. Will changing her Starter into Mewtwo leave Mewtwo with the starter's moves, or will Mewtwo pick up his own moves? And in the case of the latter, is it random moves, or that last 4 moves he could learn up to his level?

I did not have this issue. The only related issue is being able to rapidly edit them in succession with a macro function, but that is something you have. It's true that the list doesn't scroll down correctly and jumps back up to the first trainer with the same name in a block when you open the drop down, but you just have to pick the 3rd from the top, then the 4th, then the 5th, and so on through the whole group of same-names.
swiftgallade46 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) I also have the problem where the editor thinks my ROM is broken after having successfully used the editor with it once. When I tried to load it the second time onward it just keeps giving me the error message about the ROM being broken which it isn't. Has there been any resolution to this issue yet? (the ROM is Drayano's Voltwhitefull.nds patched ROM but since this is a problem that has occured with many different people I would assume now that the specific ROM settings are not the problem) EDIT: I think (and I'm just guessing here) that the problem is that once the .narc files are extracted, they have to be put back into the ROM before the editor can load it again (meaning that it thinks the ROM is "broken" because the .narcs have already been extracted leaving the editor with nothing more to extract) This is all assuming that you've already successfully used the editor on the ROM once and you're trying to use it on the same one again. Sooooo can someone tell me how to reinsert the .narc files back into the .nds files they were extracted from? EDIT2: So I downloaded and used nitroexplorer2b to replace the .narcs manually and that still didnt work... it did stop the game from freezing (which btw it was) after trying to save with the trainer edits in place though. idk why but the program just keep telling me the ROM is broken (which, as I've said, it isn't) also the one Trainer i did manage to edit (Roughneck Chance on Route 9) has all the correct changes in place, but gives me a ? item after every battle (I'm using the "Rematch Trainers cheat) and then his post-battle text box is blank.
