  1. I originally created a thread to check my own pokemon for legality, and although it proved sucessful, it made me realize that many members pose questions about legality of there pokemon or if someone may check the legality of them. Sadly, many members do not know where to look. This thread is intended to aid members in the legalizing of their pokemon through checking over trash bytes, running pkms through the legality checker, and answering questions not already answered in the Legality guide. Simply attached a post with the question, Error message, and/or pkm needing to be legalized. Our team of checkers/Legalizers will act as quickly as possible to solve your issue. From time to time I may post my own pkm because I may need some help as well. Legality can take a while to understand. RULES: -a maximum of 10 pkms may be posted every 2 days by a single member - always check the Legality Guide (by Greencat) first before asking a question - do not PM People contributing to this thread asking why they have not completed your question yet. They will always post here if they are not availible or have answered your question Further rules may be added in the future CONTRIBUTORS: -Metalbear- Legality and Trash Bytes/ Pkm Attributes -Aarux- Pkm Attribute's -Sabresite- Legality Results/ "Why Does ____ Result Show Up?"/ Pkm Attributes -Toffeuy- Legality and Trash Bytes *** If you wish to help in the success of this thread, PM me!*** Moderators: if there is already a similar topic, please delete this one. 2. So when editing certain Pokemon in gen 1 with gen 2 tradeback movesets allowed, it still flags some of them as illegal, but not all of them, shown in the images. Does anyone know what's causing this? Thanks
  3. Okay, so first of all: Hi y'all Been lurking for a while but decided to create an account to see if someone could help me with this situation. You see, I found out that the only game where Celebi is not shiny-locked is in Crystal. And so, with the help of gameshark codes, I was able to unlock the GS Ball event that was originally only released in Japan. After this, I went with the classic soft reset method to get a shiny Celebi. I did. But my joy didn't last long when I came to realize there was no "legal" way to get my precious Celebi up to my Gen7 games. And so, I turned to PkHex, but to my dismay, it didn't support the first two gens That was back in june. Yesterday, however, the new update went live and it included Gen2 support. I was thriving. I immediately went on to check my Crystal save file and it recognized it and I was able to check my pokémon. My lovely Celebi was there, and IT WAS MARKED AS LEGAL! Oh! The joy! The happiness! I proceeded to save it as a .pkm file to load it onto my gen7 save file. But, when I did, it was flagged as illegal. Why most this happen to me? Is it necessary for me to suffer in order to gain something better later on in life? (TT_TT) Please, before commenting, keep in mind that LEGAL and LEGIT are not the same thing. I know for sure my Celebi isn't LEGAL, since GameFreak didn't allow compatibility between Gen1&2-Gen3 onwards and didn't launch the GS Ball event anywhere else in the world and I got it on an emulator, not the actual cartridge game. But it is LEGIT. I hunted him until I got him. I'm not the only one who has. I didn't create it on PKHex or any other editing tool. Is there any possible known way for my cherished Celebi to be marked as legal without losing it's shininess?
  4. Did I do something wrong?
  5. 2 things first i got pikachu with ash hat using a qr code and i got my greninja ash with PKSM using the events in that program i got a wondercard for ash greninja and both of them are "ilegal" (pkhex said that both are ilegal.. srry 4 my bad english i understand but i cant write it very well) also i didnt edit them that would be all.. thanks! (srry if is nothing just.. kinda worried i want to use them in online and i dont want to be banned.. again XD)
  6. Hello, I have some questions about editing the TID/SID of a save file. As far as I know, the PID of pokemon aren't tied to the TID/SID of a trainer unless it's shiny, is that right? Also, if I edit the TID and SID (using valid TID/SID combinations created by the game) will this change the way shiny PIDs are calculated? Has anyone been able to confirm that editing the TID/SID of a save file results in new uniquely generated shiny PIDs using the newly inserted TID/SID combination? These questions stem from me wanting to hold onto a shiny I caught on one play through after creating and playing a new save with a new TID/SID. My preference is for this shiny pokemon to not appear traded, otherwise I could simply leave my TID/SID as is and drag him into my PC boxes. My alternative is to copy my newly caught pokemon over to my old save and change their TID/SIDs instead so that my shiny won't appear to be traded. I do want to confirm though that TID/SID isn't used for generating non shiny PIDs. I guess I'm just concerned about editing the TID/SID and would like to know any potential drawbacks to doing so. I'd like to hear that it's not a big deal and it all works as intended; meaning if you use valid values you're all good, and newly generated shiny pokemon will use the currently set TID/SID. Any information/insight is appreciated. Thanks
  7. Every Ash-Greninja loaded from WC7 has a certain PID , but when you reroll it's PID , it judge it legal ,,,So can it be rerolled?
  8. Like it's predecessor, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon has introduced several new pokéball combinations by expanding its regional pokédex. Not only did this create tons of new Beast Ball and Apricorn ball combinations, it also brought forth some new hidden ability (HA) combinations as well as some other miscellaneous changes! New HA Combinations Apricorn Balls Jynx line Kanto Raichu Kanto Exeggutor Kanto Marowak Regular Balls Orange Flabébé line White Flabébé line Miscellaneous Heavy Balls The glitch that prevented capturing these pokémon has been corrected. Beldum Line Tapu Koko Tapu Lele Tapu Bulu Tapu Fini Event Lycanroc The event Rockruff with the ability "Own Tempo" has been confirmed to be breedable by @theSLAYER. Upon evolving, it will turn into Dusk Lycanroc. Because it counts as the same species, you are capable of chaining all legal balls by breeding with a regular Rockruff, Unlike the wondercard, there is no shiny lock for breeding. This means you can get a shiny dusk Lycanroc! The legal balls are: All store-bought pokéballs (Pokéball, Great, Ultra, Dive, Dusk, Heal, Luxury, Nest, Net, Premier, Quick, Repeat, and Timer) Beast Balls All Apricorn Balls (Fast, Friend, Heavy, Level, Love, Lure, Moon) Electrode Electrode is another strange occurrence. It is found Rainbow Rocket's Castle, and is very easy to miss if you are not prepared. Because non-alolan pokemon have a call rate of "0", it is impossible to get it's hidden ability. This means the only new combination for Voltorb/Electrode is Beast Ball with the ability static and soundproof only. The encounters are shiny locked, so if you want a shiny variation, you will need to breed. They also pack Explosion, so be sure to be properly prepared. Flabébé line The Flabébé line is also noteworthy to mention due to the mechanics needed to acquire each color, as well as a bug. At the moment, only red Floette are capable of calling for help. Blue, orange, white and yellow Floette are unable to call. Because of this quirk, the blue variation is the only color that is unable to be have it's HA legally for Apricorn/Beast balls. You can still have its hidden ability in regular Pokéballs from the Friend Safari in XY The yellow variation is only found only in Melemele Meadow. It can be encountered normally, or from another Flabébé calling for help in this meadow. The red variation is only found only in Ula'ula Meadow. It can be encountered normally, or from another Floette calling for help in this meadow. The blue variation is only found only in Poni Meadow. It can only be encountered normally, as it has a call rate of 0. HA is illegal Apricorn/Beast Balls. The orange variation is found in Melemele Meadow and Ula'ula Meadow. It can only be encountered when another Flabébé or red Floette calls for help. The white variation is found in Melemele Meadow and Ula'ula Meadow. It can only be encountered when another Flabébé or red Floette calls for help. 9. Hi I just want to ask if this Old sea map Mew event that I genned is Legal to use online? Never thought that it will appear as legal in pkhex without TID/SID. thanks!
  10. I legitimately bred an eevee w/ egg move detect but in pkhex it says "Static Encounter Relearn Mismatch" How do I fix this? All the eeveelutions i received in trades have this error too. Is this just a false positive?
  11. Hello. I'm new to PKhex and i encounter some problem... 1. Missing mystery gift in database. So i'm trying to move my event Rayquazza from Black to Alpha Sapphire... And somehow it's unable to match with the gift database... (I already attached the WC for research purpose) Card # 0059 - くろいレックウザ プレゼント.pgf Reference: http://www.serebii.net/events/dex/384.shtml#2012 2. Event OT affection should be 0 Next, event Camerupt. Yeah, i know it should be 0, but i "received" it by import WC (delivered by a guy from pokemon center), not from pkm file... 3. Evolution not valid And Event Vivillon is missing from event database too... Somehow, it doesn't have have any relearn move too... I got it those WCs (for 2nd and 3rd problem) from: 4. Transferring from gen 4 to gen 6 I transferred my Feraligatr from HG (Totodile starter) to AS by following this tutorial: https://forum.romulation.net/threads/migrating-gen-iii-v-pokamon-to-gen-vi-using-pkhex-and-pokagen-gen-v.63889/ But it didn't go well... Although i already reroll the PID for several times. PS: Sorry for the messy post. Thanks.
  12. Hi there, I'm wondering if its ok for PKHex to display this Tapu Koko as legit I'm not 100% sure but IIRC the serial code only works for Japanese console/games, right?
  13. Hello, I tried to edit my Magearna from the recent event and I keep getting this error message for its legality: Invalid Relearn Move 1: Static encounter relearn move mismatch. I don't know how to fix this, please help.
  14. Hey everyone I am stuck in an odd situation and each time I try to battle my friend wirelessly with my shiny hoopa the comm error screen pops up while we are choosing are pokemon. From what I can tell it seems pretty legit to me but I may be overlooking something. I have tried multiple times with many multiple combinations of memories and still I cant get it to work. Anyone have a ekx file that does work? Thanks in advance also here is an example of a hoopa I have attempted to use but like I said I tried several different variants; Moveset: Psyshock Shadowball Hyperspace hole HP Fighting. Met route 2 OR cherish ball modest level met 100 memories : Hoopa met Bicentennial at... a riverside road. Bicentennial threw a Poké Ball at it, and they started to travel together. The Pokémon remembers that it got nervous. Hoopa became Bicentennial’s friend when it arrived via Link Trade at... somewhere. The Pokémon remembers that it had fun. Thanks in advance as I am off to bed and any help will be extremely appreciated !
  15. So I have been using the PKHeX from this thread: Web-Browser-RAM-based-Pokemon-Injection-for-XY-and-ORAS I've genned some pokemon that by what I can tell look completely legal but I am not able to use them online. If someone could point out what it is that I'm doing wrong then that'd be amazing. Here are two of my pokemon.ek6 files (named with what pokemon they are for my own filing. I use the whole box importer when putting them into the game) http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=44459104806528684010 http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=09424632622028377830 P.S. I know that ProjectPokemon does not endorse or condone online use of genned/hacked pokemon. This is entirely for me to use so I can battle my friend online who lives in another state.
  16. well i have one of the GTS Heracross (attached) but i'm not so sure about it's legitimacy, can any of you guys help me check on him? really appreciate it ...
  17. I used the checker and nothing came up invalid. Besides that and trying to submit a battle video, is there another way to check it?
  18. Question moved to "Legality Question" Thread. Sorry I posted at the wrong place.
  19. The title says it. I see quite a lot lvl 1 shiny pokemon nowadays. Is it possible to check te legality of these newly hatched?
  20. I saw this linked over at SPPF and wondered if anyone has heard about this, knows it's origins, etc... http://vlacula.no-ip.com/pokemon/legality_checker/ I started randomly checking PKM files from the former database/now PP and saw that Hayley's Aerodactyl came up as hacked. I'm going to check to see if maybe I have an outdated version. I'll copy/paste what it comes up with. Test results (shot report): ( 100% passed (4 out of 4 tests) Conclusion (type): Hacked Pokemon (try statcalc) ) Full report: ( [file] => ./tmp/HAYLEY-Aerodactyl-PKM Database_b91d1f3351b44bf2e2d5450fcfa4efca.pkm [pokemon_id] => 142 [pokemon_name] => Aerodactyl [pokemon_data] => Array [checksum] => 0x57E1 - Valid [pokemonid] => 323977588 - Jolly, Male, Ability 1, Not Shiny [ivs] => 3,20,25,24,25,31 [trainerid] => 1000 [secretid] => 43066 [trainersex] => Female [hiddenpower] => Psychic - 50 [fateful] => No [gendercheck] => Valid [ev] => Valid [nicknamed] => No [hometown] => Sinnoh [Diamond] [countryorigin] => UK/US/AU [type] => Hacked Pokemon (try statcalc) It also mentions something called statcalc (http://vlacula.no-ip.com/pokemon/statscalc/statscalc.zip) but I'm cautious of downloading stuff from unknown sites. So what do you all think about this?
  21. Look i've been trying to get this jirachi with HP fire (70), psychic, grass knot and clam mind but everytime i do the legality checker says "Hacked or unknown pokemon" and then when i'm trying to download it there are like 5 "?" signs and SMR2010 in the nickname  i don't know what's going on with the ID it's supposed to be 06260 but it always changes into 6260 =S guys any help?
  22. There is quite a lot of discussion here about the legality of edited Pokemon, but I've been wondering what effect (if any) minor edits have to a save file. For example, my wife DS's date was a year out when I used it to beat the elite four for the first time in Diamond, resulting in a weird save where I started my game in 2007 and finished it in 2006. Does changing these dates - or the dates Pokemon were caught on - have any effect on the integrity of the save file itself? Generally I'm more interested in Pokesav and similar programs for their backup and storage capabilities rather than editing Pokemon stats and so on, but I want to know if these seemingly minor changes are going to have any effect on my game before going ahead with them.
  23. Hi there, I have a couple questions about the legality checker. Firstly, how long does it usually take to check the pkms? Is there a key I need to type to start the process? Secondly, if my pkm passes the legality checker, does that mean it is a perfectly legal pokemon that is usable in competitive battling, like PBR or wifi? Thanks for your time! I'm really excited to learn all of this.
  24. Recently I have been finding out more about the Ruby/Saphire Berry Glitch Zigzagoons. It uses the restricted uncommon gba event (ABDE), where every seed seems to be below 0xFFFF. Currently I have identified that the lower part of the PID actually does not utilize the B call to the RNG, however does conform to (A ^ ( TID ^ SID ) ) which ensures that it is shiny. However to keep the genders proper (female for ruby, and male for sapphire), there are more alterations done to the PID. I do not have a significant number of test zagoons to check, however it is possible that the high PID and low PID are altered (similar to chain shinies) in a way that would ensure the gender as well. I will bring everyone more info as I get it. If anyone is interested in helping, simply email your berry glitch zigzagoons to sabresite [a@t] projectpokemon.org and please make sure the zigs are 100% legit.
  25. I drag my .pkm file over and all it does is show that there's a file there, but does nothing else. Am I doing something wrong?
