  3. Hello folks; I have the same / typical error for both of my scarlet and violet save-file (NTSC). Just for the record, its a legit game (No roms) and I am in OHIO USA. Side note: I am not banned. I am not locked out. I am not closed in anywhere not even in E-Shops. I can see deals and sales on games. I checked with NINTENDO SUPPORT and they confirmed with me that I am not banned at all. Problem: Every time I connect online for surprise trade or to receive an online gift, the game saves and then it freezes. In the end, I receive this error message. I also cannot use the synchronizing machine in the DLC - CLUB ROOM (Indigo disk) because the game will also auto-save and then freeze in the end with this error message. Pokemon Home will not read my files anymore. Troubleshooting steps: I turned off auto-saving feature. I cleaned / cleared out my SD-CARD plus deleted all third party applications. I even formatted my SD-CARD. I deleted POKEMON SCARLET and VIOLET DLC files/ patches and redownloaded 2-3 times throughout these steps. I went through my inventory and took out items through PKHEX making sure all the items are legit. I checked and verified with PKHEX that my save file is valid (CHECKSUM). Its valid. I checked and confirmed that my NINTENDO ONLINE subscription is fully validated and active. I performed all these tasks and its now on 3.0.1. However the error is still active and no trade/ gift is accessible along with POKEMON HOME not responding to my file(s). The actual game works fine and I am able to play the whole game (travel, catch pokemon, battle NPC etcetera). Please help. Any advise is helpful. If you want, I can upload my files here with JKSV.
  4. Hmmmm looks like it could work but then again it says: "This only works for CIA/e-shop version (a.k.a digital copy) of the game. Does not work for the restoring save back into the cart versions (physical copy) of the games." So I'm not sure if I should delete my save file to try. I can't install a digital version of the game due to a lack of SD card space either unfortunately.
  5. You are a lifesaver. I actually own the e reader cards and have Swiss setup, so this is really about saving time for me when I do it the next time.
  6. There's an Action Replay code out there that inserts the required data as if you just scanned all of the cards which activates the extra shadow trainers. It's how I snagged them on my US copy in conjunction with a warp code into the e-Reader room. The only thing you'll miss are the item and coupon rewards for initially defeating the e-card trainers.
  7. I had found a really nice and concise write-up on here for Colosseum save editing, but I can't find it anymore. So we have a flag that is checked to load 1 of 3 Battle E trainers that have a Shadow Pokemon after a set of 20 cards is completed on a difficulty level. How do we change these flags so that we can catch the 3 pokemon without 60 extra battles (on NTSC-U)?
  8. So, if I am understanding this correctly: it is possible to alter any original Japanese E-Reader card raw file, change the region bytes to US, print, and use as if authentic? I am seeing someone capitalizing on this idea, but I am more interested in adding official Japanese trainers to FRLGE (though it appears...I could make ANY trainer?), and perhaps the Japanese Series 2 Berry Set to RS. Does this work for both NTSC-U versions of FRLG and Emerald? Or has some card reading functionality stripped out here? Or is there maybe just a flag that needs to be set in the ROM to use original Japanese cards via a Japanese E-Reader+ (after seeing this promising video) I know (while albeit a different case) NSTC-U Colosseum just blocked access to the E-Reader room, but everything still worked authentically after you get in there.

  10. Regi dolls The three Legendary titans also have dolls. Players with a Japanese copy of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire can obtain these dolls by scanning a promotional e-Reader card, Decoration Present, or through participating official Nintendo events. It is possible to obtain them in the non-Japanese versions with the following method: Scan the appropriate Decoration set card for the Japanese Ruby/Sapphire, which gives a Regi Doll to the Decoration Trader at Mauville City's Pokémon Center. Exchange records with Japanese Emerald. Exchange records between Japanese Emerald and non-Japanese Emerald. Exchange records between the non-Japanese Emerald and non-Japanese R/S of the same language.

I plug my sd card into my sd card reader, usb then PC. I am navigating to the .SAV file on the USB when I click open on PKHeX. This is the error I get on PKHeX: Unable to load file. 12. Thank you a ton BlackShark for this breakdown. In combination with other resources, it's been very helpful for this novice to understand the basic structure of the e-cards. I'm wondering if there's any additional details you can go into regarding what the VPK is and how it works? I'm assuming this is the machine code for the e-Reader to parse, but I wouldn't know where to start in regards to editing something beyond just a trainer or berry. In particular, I've been curious about how multi-strip programs work for Mystery Event. It's hard enough to find any documentation regarding the e-Reader, much less about Mystery Event e-cards with more than one strip, since to my knowledge only two exist and they're both Japanese. The trainer cards, berry cards, and Eon Ticket are all one strip to scan. However, the Japanese 08-O001 Regi Doll Decoration Present is two strips, and the oft-forgotten Japanese 16-A001/2 "Berry Problem Repair Program" is a whopping four strips to scan. Against my better judgement, I wanted to start my e-card analysis with the Berry Problem Repair Program. Since it supposedly just shifts the RTC timestamp of the save game, I found it curious that it somehow requires four strips to scan. Instead, I've discovered that the BPRP appears to not follow the same VPK rules that all other Mystery Event e-cards do. Firstly, I should mention how these multi-strip cards differ from the single-strip ones. For every e-card .bin file, the compressed data VPK + padding is a total of 2029 bytes after the VPK size bytes. With more than one strip, the only strip that actually has padding is the final one (ie, the second strip for the Decoration Present, and the fourth strip for the BPRP), with all other strips containing VPK data in the full 2029 bytes. In addition, the VPK size bytes only seem to apply for the first strip, which denotes the combined VPK size of all strips. Every other strip has weird VPK size bytes that I don't understand. Strip VPK Byte VPK Byte (Decimal) VPK Size Size Info Byte 08-O001 1 0x0DA4 3,492 2,029 0x021B4C42 08-O001 2 0x0D00 3,328 1,461 0x021B4C44 16-A001 1 0x19D5 6,613 2,029 0x0233B682 16-A001 2 0x087E 2,174 2,029 0x0233B684 16-A002 1 0xC203 49,667 2,029 0x0233B686 16-A002 2 0x708F 28.815 524 0x0233B688 The total VPK size for the Decoration Present is 3,490, but the first strip's VPK byte has it two bytes larger at 3,492. Likewise, the BPRP's total VPK size is 6,611 yet the first strip's VPK byte also has it two bytes larger at 6,613. I thought I miscounted multiple times, but it's peculiar that two separate strip sizes are both two bytes less. I ensured this was a trait not shared with other cards; for reference, both the English and Japanese Eggant Berry cards' VPK byte matches their VPK size (0x053F to 1,343 and 0x054B to 1,355, respectively). This oddity aside, I was able to take the two strips from the Decoration Present e-card, cut their VPKs from each, paste the two together, and it successfully decompiled into a VPK that has "GameFreak inc," so I assume it was done properly. On the other hand, the BPRP can't be decompiled in the same manner. The VPK tool says "Invalid vpk data" when I try decompressing a file composed of the four VPK pieces from each strip of the BPRP. Perhaps most importantly, the VPK of the first strip does lacks something every other strip does: leading with 0x306B7076, aka the text "vpk0." After the VPK size bytes, every VPK starts with that, and this includes strip 1 of the Decoration Goods (but not strip 2, likely because it's a direct continuation of the full VPK). It seems possible that the Berry Problem Repair Program uses some unique format or something, and if it doesn't follow the same format that the rest do, then this novice is immediately out of ideas. Decoration Goods' header and VPK start, with the standard "vpk0" begin: Berry Problem Repair Program's header and alleged VPK start, lacking the standard "vpk0": I've included the sets of .bin files for the BPRP and Decoration Goods to look at or check my work. berry_prog_bin_files.rar deco_goods_bin_files.rar

  15. I got to the first Pokémon center and I got a brand new sd card so I reformatted and right now im updating/redownloading all the files I need so I can start over from scratch I have put 6 pokemon I wanna start the new game with in a folder so I can just drag those into my game for the test run. Hopefully I don’t keep getting the same error. So far every time I start over and move my Mon over even if it’s just one or two I get the same error message as the e last picture and so when that happens and I go back and delete the main and rename the main back up and restore that it still has the error message so I can’t even recover the backup and thus have to restart a whole new save to try the whole process over again
  16. With the help of @Grender who handled the translation the e-Reader Berries are now in Spanish and can be used with the Spanish Gen 3 games. For scanning the cards you'll need an English e-Reader though as the e-Reader was never released in Europe. Translated e-Reader Berry Cards-Spanish.zip
  17. With the help of Artrios' pokecarde disassembly that was forked from hatschkys and can be found here: https://github.com/Artrios/pokecarde I have recreated my translated versions of the Japanese only e-Reader Berries in order to make sure that they would work on rom hacks such as Citrus Bolt's Pokémon Heliodor. They are mostly unchanged at a first glance except that I shortened the text on the tag of the Ginema Berry to make it look a bit nicer. The dev data folder has some extra stuff that should be straight forward to understand. Edit: You'll want to redownload as I needed to fix the Yago Berry due to a typo. 18. I just started homebrewing my old 3ds after years of not using it and wanted to try using pkhex to modify the saved file of my Omega Ruby game. However, every time I try to open the 'main' save with pkhex it gives me this error: 'Invalid save file loaded. Aborting.' For extra info: my 3ds is from America, the game is from the e-shop so it is saved in the sd card, and this is the first time I have ever tried homebrewing/pkhexing the game. I used Checkpoint to extract the save as a 'main' file I hope you can help me with this. This is the main file: https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/files/9128981/main.zip Thanks in advance for any help.
  19. Hi, there Poké Friends. Sorry if I revive thes conversation, but I was wondering around and find out about that mysterious room, so I searched and end up here, willing to get at thes the files of the E-cards and I can scan them into the game, we'll at least try it out, because I own a E-reader+ Rom and the Pokémon Colosseum US version in the room, but I don't have any e-card :(
  20. Um, bad news on that front. I did the first half of the save, and it was rejected as corrupt. Then I did the second half of the save, and it was also rejected as corrupt. Yes, even though the fresh save as a whole loads with no trouble. I then tried replacing the entire save at once with the data of the fresh save. (That is, I used Control + E to select the entire fresh save file from 00000 to 655FF, then copied and paste wrote from 00000 on the old save.) This was still rejected as corrupt. But the fresh save itself still loads fine. Even after being imported into and then exported from PKHeX. I’m starting to wonder if perhaps there is no file corruption; the game cart (which, I reiterate, is physical—not a digital download) is just refusing to accept this one file. Is that a thing that can happen? Did you ever check if you could load the save in question? Because knowing whether this issue is specific to my game/console/SD card would be quite helpful right now.
  21. Hey people, if I try to edit my save file from Pokemon Colosseum or XD and try to edit my bag and after that I try to save it always shows a issue. I also tried a new save file, a raw memory card save file, everytime its not possible. Hopefully someone can help me or the issue can be fixed. 22. Hi HaxAras!
I saw your response in the thread linked bellow:

"I know. I have a video of it as well as I own the actual cards. I have a 100% complete Colosseum collection of E-reader cards. I'm an E-reader enthusiast. "

And i was wondering, do you have a album of them uploaded somewhere on the internet (The individual cards)? Iv been working on making a complete list of all the cards with the actual images of them. Iv had good luck scowering yahoo auctions japan and found almost all the cards but im still missing a few.
The images i have to my hands on are most "passable" as they where not scans of the cards but low ress images of them (Some of them have so low resolution iv had to use outside sources to guess work what card is what)

If you don't have them uploaded somewhere, do you happen to know any good sources on where to find them and a complete list of them? So far iv built my list from the .raw files i found here in the event gallery and some random luck on yahoo auctions japan.

@pkmn_trainer_leon user is no longer on the forums, so you won't get an answer.

Alright, thanks for the replay Slayer

  23. The Latios latias eon ticket works, it’s just an e-reader card. But I was wondering how do people inject or find ways to catch other legendaries like deoxys without the use of action replay
  24. @StarsMmd Amazing discovery, maybe we'll be able to get Shadow Spoink at least. In fact I suppose the 21st card to be used for promo cards (2 were released only in Japan). Note that Shadow Scizor/Togepi/Mareep were not in the cards but with a mini event once you finished the battles. In order to get the missing Shadow mons I only see 2 ways: -get a beta version of the game which must exist somewhere according to the early build videos found -force the Shadow to appear with E-reader card (however my experience with Shadow Loudred taught me that you still need the Shadow ID in order to correctly purify it). Let @StarsMmd tell us what did he found with Shadow Spoink.
