Ok ok...you got me. I just like more obvious ones. Like intimidate or wonderguard because if its not the right type then its obvious. Or drizzle and drought. Sandstream and snow warning are also some of my favorites.

Milotic is awesome! So huge and powerful, plus it is beautiful. Why it wouldn't be called the most beautiful is surprising. Feebas rare because its rare ok. I think though if anything it would be rare because of its evolution.

Thanks mewtwo ex! Now I'm going to go spend some time catching a feebass and hopefully be successful. It sounds like this ugly fish gives people lots of trouble.

anime "Dealing with Defensive Types" Episode Discussion
pokemonfan posted a topic in Pokémon Franchise
So recently this episode aired in the USA at 8:00 A.M central time to 8:30 A.M central time. This episode held the long awaited battle between gym leader byron and Ash. Each of them used 3 pokemon and I found it to be a battle to behold. Here are the pokemon they used and a description of the battle. Ash -chimchar -buizel -glyscor Byron -bronzor -steelix -bastiodon So what did you think of this episode. I thought it was great and am looking forward to glyscor's next appearance. I also liked to see that little monkey overcome some of his fears that paul gave him from the intense training. Seeing glyscor finally battle the right way was a thriller too! I rate it a 10/10- 5 replies

Can someone give me directions to this lake?

Gary appears in episode 550 "Fighting fear with fear" he helped Ash evolve his glygar and teach it not to be afraid of its opponent. Ash's glygar wanted to battle but was afraid of every opponent! Seriously, glygar needs to suck it up and choose fear or battling. Its a messed up view. Although Gary really wasn't a huge part in the episode and there wasn't like an epic battle, he was still in it.

That episode was called "Luxray vision" and actually recently aired today as one of the weekday episodes Whats strange is luxray couldn't even pull off a charge beam earlier on in the episode or before luxray met pikachu. So it must've been the true power of a uberchu. Ugh, Ash's pikachu strikes again. You have to remember, its a cartoon and anything can happen.

Yeah, the starter abilities are repetitive and quite annoying. I dont like having to try and utilize torrent or blaze or even thinking about it. I want an obvious effect like drizzle. That would be nice on a water type or sunny day, that would also be nice. Or overgrow should boost plant type moves and torrent should boost water, and blaze should boost fire with not having to be in a pinch. I like more immediate creative effects. I think both of them need to change.

questions Official Help/Small questions thread for D/P/Plat!
pokemonfan replied to randomspot555's topic in Generation 4
I guess the leveling down is a bad and a good thing at the same time. Pros -More bonding time with your pokemon -You can learn the level up moves instead of having to relearn the ones you want that were early on. -Training allows you to shape your pokemon's evs and with less time to train that means less control over your pokemon's evs -wild pokemon are weaker then trained ones Cons -more work on training I see that con as a big weight. Some people just dont like to put in quality training time. However, if your bummed about that look on the bright side. You can catch both dialga and palkia in platinum and both at level 70s! -
Maybe they were under to much pressure because everyone expected them to practically levitate their ideas were so created, so they put their two problems into abilities? Maybe...I mean...I heard that the release of super smash bros. brawl was delayed because some guy wanted to add tripping to the game... what was he thinking?

questions Official Help/Small questions thread for D/P/Plat!
pokemonfan replied to randomspot555's topic in Generation 4
95% sure that its level 50 in platinum instead of level 70 like it was in D/P. I was disappointed by the level gap, but you have to look at it positively, more bonding time with your pokemon! Anyway, I first got platinum when my friend did and showed me his. I was jealous so I bought it and am planning to excel way better then him. I was scared of the platinum changes, but now whenever I play D/P it feels weird. I do love the new legendary bird additions, but I think the dogs/cats entei, raikou, and suicoone would've been cool too! I like how team galactic's plot was extended towards stark mountain and the addition of the looker, it added spice to the game's storyline a long with the fact that everyone is a lot tougher. When I first got to stark mountain in platinum and encountered Charon, I was so surprised and feared I'd have to battle him. My pokemon were low on health. However, I dont think I ever did. Just some commanders. The battle frontier is a huge addition, it gives someone something to do after they complete the pokedex. Thanks for all the comments on my good points! -

Yes! Of course it is. You can catch a whole bunch of legendaries you couldn't catch before, plus there is a lot more to do. Like this: -Giratina (origin forme) -Palkia (level 70 and very far in the game) -Dialga (level 70 and very far in the game) -Heatran (level 50 and far in the game) -You can change a shaymin's forme if it is a legit event shaymin -Rotom secret key! -Of course there is regigigas and if you have a legit event regigigas then you can catch the 3 regis -The three legendary birds (articuno, zapdos, and moltres can all be caught in this game, very far in the game though) -The three legendary lake pokemon -Then there is cresselia Catching all the legendaries alone is tough enough and keeps you busy then there is -getting all the ribbons -beating the elite four (which gets tougher after you beat it once) -Taking on the battle frontier -defeating team galactic (the plot for defeating team galactic is longer) -Defeating all the gyms! The gyms are a whole lot tougher then they are in D/P The battle frontier, alone is a challenge, along with getting all the ribbons Then there is that new place in the survival area where you can battle trainers and gym leaders that you battled before or worked with, except they are a whole lot stronger! This can help with training, which of course is an added plus. Then there is completing the pokedex, its a lot harder to complete the sinnoh dex in platinum because its longer...Completing both pokedexs are huge challenges and goal points. Platinum has a lot of changes and, I believe, for the better and is definitely worth it. However, dont give up on your D/P versions because there are some pokemon that are still D/P exclusive! -Hope this helped- -

Telos, although I think there is a better answer, is correct but only in some situations, like with a snorlax you can breed specifically for a snorlax or a munchlax. However, some pokemon species if you breed them in fully evolved form and there was an egg group earlier on in the chain then the pokemon you bred will have an offspring of identical species, at level 1. However, the easiest way to get these moves on a fully evolved pokemon is a heart scale. You go to one of the houses by pastoria city, it is the house by the water and the guy who says he is in the middle of town, inside that house will be a boy and a man in a farther corner, if you have a heart scale, go talk to him and he will say something like this "Oh my gosh...that's an honest to goodness heart scale" Then the rest is easy he will ask you if you want him to tutor one of your pokemon a move. Then you select bellossom and then select leaf blade. Its actually quite simple However, you need to get a heart scale. There are several ways to get these, you could dig underground till you find one, catch a wild lovedisc which are found in the water right before the pokemon league by using a super rod, then you catch them there is a 50% chance they will be holding one, otherwise you will have to hope that the guy in solaceon town that gives you jobs will offer a heart scale. Happy tutoring/breeding! Hope this helped! -
Give articuno!

Aritcuno gets mind reader and sheer cold! I've been looking for a combo like that! Articuno has got to be the greatest bird that has ever lived! Edit: -it can fly -i dislike it -its an evolution
-
Turtwig! Its a walking twig!
-
Correct, I guess that was easy. Now its your turn but I guess I'll say something anyway. -he owns a beautifly -he challenged cynthia to try to become champion -one of elite four That last hint should be key.

I'm not a huge fan of ash I just dont like how paul treats his pokemon. I'm saying that ash is better then paul or that I prefer one side antagonists or protagonists I just dont like the way paul treats his pokemon and someone should stop him or put him in pokemon prison for abuse of pokemon.
-
Well I didn't think of it that way. However, I do prefer more unique abilities like kyogre's drizzle just because of how unique it is. No other pokemon has that ability. When 7 other pokemon have the same ability i get bored of it. Plus, it doesn't kill people to be creative.

Pokemon Haters: "excuses" that get them to shut up
pokemonfan replied to D@t@_G@ll@de#3's topic in Pokémon Franchise
Agreed! Pokemon haters dont know what they're missing! Plus, I think it does improve strategy skills, also my research skills have definitely improved. Back when I knew nothing about pokemon I had to look up a lot of things to help me through the game and information on pokemon such as type advantages and weaknesses that weren't plainly obvious. So because of that my research abilities have improved. However, I'm unable to convince anyone that pokemon is educational or has educational value  -
Happiny stopped a rampaging piloswine! Plus in the episode where jesse, stupidly, gave up her dustox it was lifting boulders like it was lifting tiny pebbles! As for piplup's whirlpool, that thing is so overly powerful. On another note, I think team rocket is hilarious! In the movie "lucario and the mystery of mew" when the Tree of beginning finished collapsing and was all healed james and jesse made a few comments: "Its all over" said James "Yes, and we're back to being losers" said Jesse Then meowth joyously rejoins them from his previous seperation. As for jesse and her awesome pokemon... She mainly uses seviper to battle and was convinced that yanmega could possibly dodge like fantina's drifblim. I've seen it battle like 5 times but seviper man its always out their using its bite that never actually hits a foe. As for her wobbufett I've seen it appear in a contest once, they lost horribly because she made them both look like clowns when james did the costume designing perfectly fine. Yanmega when its been in battles usually has great success until uberchu steps in and uses thunderbolt. On again another note, uberchu has its soft moments. Once again referring to the movie "Lucario and the mystery of Mew" when Ash got eaten by the Tree's "White blood cells" and then pikachu started crying, the close up on pikachu's face almost made me cry. It was so sad! I guess pikachu although way to powerful in battle, has those moments where its soft and sad. Uberchu also has its bad moments, like being owned by a water type. magikarp crushed uberchu! For that nostalgia on team rocket. They still end up in some way in contact with their pokemon whenever they appear from their pokeballs. Carnivine and cacnea went back to James, I'm not sure what cacnea did but carnivine bit James, same with seviper but not nearly as frequent as carnivine.

Yeah, I cant believe it I would prefer ash's pikachu over that nasty electabuzz anyday. The first few episodes of pokemon I ever watched were the tag battle ones! Where ash and paul were forced to work together in the tag battle. Although I knew next to nothing about pokemon I knew that when ash let his poor little chimchar go turning his back completely I knew it wasn't right. I cant stand paul, I hope cynthia crushes him when he makes it to the pokemon league and that ash would move on victorious.

Aura guardians are just another one of pokemon's famous myths and legends. Yet, they are mentioned in the anime several times. Like in the movie "Lucario and the mystery of mew" Lucario appeared from a staff that was 500 years old and was part of an ancient legend. Aaron was lucario's master and an aura guardian who taught lucario the ways of the aura. Lucario thought he had been betrayed but in the end Lucario knew what really happened. Ash also helps be the hero in this movie and lucario actually mistakes Ash for Aaron because of the similarities in the Aura he emits. Also in the pokemon episode "The keystone pops" there is another mentioning of the Aura guardians, however, this one was unnamed. He was in another town legend and he was the one that defeated and sealed up spiritomb so that it couldn't cause trouble anymore. This aura guardian had a pikachu, just like ash. Ash was the one that unleashed spiritomb again, plus then he sealed it back up again. Once again, in the episode "Lost Leader Strategy" They meet maylene who, has a lucario! Maylene has been having trouble finding herself confidence even with a lucario by her side. I'm sure seeing this lucario would stir up painful memories for both ash and pikachu. Lucario, is in tune with the aura as always and so is maylene. Because of the aura lucario and maylene can battle in perfect sync! Then in the episode "Pokemon ranger and the kidnapped riolu part 1" and "Pokemon ranger and the kidnapped riolu part 2" the aura is mentioned yet again. However, this time, obviously, it deals with a riolu. This is a very special riolu, that was specially raised so that it could learn the move aura sphere without evolving. This move has been known by all the other lucario's that have been seen in anime. Ironically, although if you think about it it really isn't ironic, Ash and riolu are able to communicate via aura. Meaning, their aura is extremely similar. In fact ash can even see where riolu is by sensing his aura, obviously ash is in tune with the aura when a being who is truly with the aura has been encountered. Pokedex: Lucario: Its the aura pokemon, a well trained one can sense someone half a mile away, using the aura it can sense the thoughts and movements of someone else, it can feel what others can feel, and it can understand human speech. I believe based on all of this that lucario's and riolu's are descendants of other aura guardians, humans that have mastered the aura. Perhaps that riolu that they found is a pokemon representative of the aura guardian Aaron? After all ash and that riolu were on the same aura channel. Perhaps ash's real destiny is to become a powerful aura guardian. What do you think based on all of this? Additionally, if I missed anything or my information was incorrect please post the correct info or info that I missed! Please comment!
