  1. Yeah, I don't see how increasing the levels would make the game harder in the sense that kids can't understand it or beat it. And kids these days are crazy smart with games and computers. It is common sense they seem to lack in
  2. I absolutely love your set up! Stronger leaders FTW! However, i think the reason for the low levels in the Original was because of going to Kanto. Could be wrong though. My G/S/C died years ago so I can't go back and check T^T Either way I really hope they make the leaders stronger. I am not 12 years old anymore On an unrelated note, can someone please tell me how you have those badges under your names or at least direct to the right place to find out?
  3. Wouldn't Mewtwo be the youngest though? They way it's birth is talked about in Gen 1 he appears to be at most a few decades old.
  4. OMG I so want my Quilava to fallow. If the higher evo's fallow you, I am never evolving to Thyplosion.
  5. What I would like to see would be separate Pokemon Leagues. Every Region has had its own Pokemon League except Jhoto which shared a League with Kanto. Having two separate Leagues to beat would add more to the story IMO. As far as what pokemon they will have I am sure you will be able to get all of them, but most likely it will be like FR/LG where you start with the basic Pokedex you had in the Original and then upgrade it later. Honestly, I would prefer it that way. I loved how they did that with FR/LG because it really gave you the feel of the original, but more zazzy.
  6. I'll pick Cyndaquil on my SS version and Chickorita on my HG. The 2nd Gen was always my fave because it was the only one where I had a hard time picking the starter. Honestly, Gen 1 and Gen 2 are the ONLY generations where I like ALL the starters.
  7. Shiny Pokemon As everyone knows, anyone who has a shiny Pokemon obviously cheated. That is crap. I never even knew what a game shark was when g/s came out. Besides the red Gyrados I had a pink whooper named Pinky That was the only one I found, but that little bugger is/was legit. There a tons of people then and now who dedicated their time to catching fully legit shiny pokemon. I am one of them. *thank god for pokemon ranch or I don't know what I would do with all my hatched eggs I never have the heart to release them even though I know it is just a game. Breeding for a shiny is brutal.*
  8. I will be getting Silver first and then Gold. I can not wait.
  9. AMEN TO THAT! People are just to lazy and soft now a days. In the words of Major Payne "Pop your titty out the kids mouth and let the child grow up!" ---------- Post added at 05:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:36 PM ---------- ANYWAY. I think we have all spamed this topic enough Excited for the remake and thanks for being first to give us this AWESOME info! I am off!
  10. Yes, that is the AMERICAN version. In the Japanese version his anger steams from being created by man and not god. Though I am sure Giovanni being a jerk helped none ---------- Post added at 05:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:29 PM ---------- Dubbed is when they use english voices to replace the japanese voices. Subbed is when you have the original audio with english subtitles on the bottom. Hench the term Subbed.
  11. I have been hunting for a LONG time to find the movie subbed. Even rebought the movie on DVD in the hopes that it would be subbed. But what those bastards did was they used the Original audio all right.... but it is unsubbed. Soooooo unless someone wants to translate for us, it is pretty useless T^T
  12. FLOOTENKERP, Mewtwo Ex. Now you see why I hate how they mess with translations. Pokemon may be aimed at kids, but in Japan adults enjoy animation and video games as well. So even though it is aimed at kids, there are also things for adults as well. Plus, kids in Japan are just more mature then the ones here in America. Here they have to make EVERYTHING so watered down and have some short of "lesson" to it. As Lady Aquarii said. LAAAAAAZY Bastards >:C Honestly, if I could read Japanese I would just get all my games/anime right from the source. To bad they don't make subs for video games.
  13. Haha, I loved playing with the phone I know the Pokegear was just the start of the whole Pokenav and Poketch, but they need to bring the phone function back. It was so fun. Plus I loved how your mom saved money for you. And by calling her on the phone you could tell her to stop/start saving with out actually having to see her.
  14. They also changed the whole story line. In America, the movie was about how fighting is wrong, but in Japan it was over Religion. Mewtwo was mad/upset because he wasn't created by God. Big difference there.
  15. I see your point, but to me it is all the same. The Japanese culture is so amazing and different then American and that is what makes it so fasinating. If you are just going to dumb down everything because most Americans choose to shelter children and water down everything then why bring it over in the first place? Anyone remember how they changed the Music in the Fire Temple in OoT because people complained it sounded like monks chanting? Come on people. Because of stuff like that is why we missed out on the Pokemon Manga. Nothing better then chopping off Arbok heads ANYWAY, back on topic. I can't wait for the release and I really hope they keep the names.
  16. *highfives* Me too And I don't mind the names as they are. Honestly I hope they keep them. I hate when they "Americanize" things. I prefer to stay as true to the original as possible. Good example. Anyone remember way back when Pokemon the Anime first came out and they said Brock's mom was dead? Well she wasn't. She walked out on them just like the dad. But we can't have that kinda message sent to kids so they changed it. It caused major confusion later on when they brought his mom back years later. Just stick to the original.
  17. Not what I was expecting honestly, but they are better then what people thought they were gonna be. Dusk Silver and Dawn Gold just didn't roll off the tongue. Heart Gold and Soul Silver sound much better to me :3
  18. I consider myself pretty lucky too. I am clothed, feed and have a home. I don't mind the wait.
  19. I don't see a remake of FR/LG or even R/S/E. They are just to new. The R/S/E will come LONG before a FR/LG remake on top of that. Yes Nintendo likes the money, but making remakes so quickly would be beating a dead horse. I don't see a remake for R/S/E until real late after Gen 5 or around Gen 6 *if we have a Gen 6* EDIT: Misread the last part of your post. What you said makes sense and fits into the whole frame of time I am thinking of. 3-4 years or more sounds about right for a Gen 3 remake.
  20. The News Post says August 2009. ---------- Post added at 04:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:42 PM ---------- You too eh? I know I shouldn't be so excited over a game, but it brings back such found memories. Ahhh the simple days of a child where catching 251 pokemon was your biggest worry
  21. I am very excited for this. My Fiance looked at me like I was on crack this morning when I jumped with excitement over this news. I have been playing pokemon since I was 11 and never plan to stop. * I am 22 now * I still remember the moment I opened those Red and Blue versions for Christmas. The Gold and Silver were the best though since not only was the Silver Version from my great grandmother, but it was also the christmas I got my Purple GBC. *still have it btw* G/S/C where the best out of the series in my opinion. Not only did you get two regions, but when they came out with Crystal we had a new story line, AND our first ever moving pokemon! The 2nd Gen was the best and R/S/E just couldn't compete. DPP did pretty good, but Jhoto is still my favorite to date. Next year wont come soon enough for me
  22. Indeed Mewtwo. GameBoy Pocket had R/G, GameBoy Color had G/S, GameBoy Advanced had R/S and the Nintendo DS had D/P. So it is safe to say (in my opinion) that we still have quite a wait for Gen 5. I see a remake or another side game (like how R/G had both Blue AND Yellow vs the other generations only having one side game) before Gen 5. Look how many games we had on the Advanced. We had a new Gen and we had a remake. Five pokemon games in total. That's up there with GameBoy Pocket which had four, R/G/B/Y, then both color and DS at three. While Nintendo has been known to let down fans before I honestly think we will have some sort of remake or other pokemon game before Gen 5. NOW, that being said keep in mind I am not saying the big announcement this coming Saturday will be a G/S remake. Honestly, I would LOVE a G/S remake, but I am not getting my hopes up. For all we know it could be another PinBall game. Remember them? I still have the original that rumbled
  23. Before it was just a news post about the event. This is the actual WC news post. You can now download and get one for yourself. I Don't have Pokesav but maybe I can find someone kind enough to put it in AR format for me :3 Anyway, thanks to NTR-AAQE-USA for the WC!
  24. But wouldn't that void its legality? And then what is the point in having a legit Arceus? If he was just gonna do that he might as well just make the whole thing in PokeSav right? If your just going to edit it, while waste your time getting it in the first place? Not that everyone cares about that stuff But since this topic is about a Legit Arceus, it just make sense to keep it that way. Me, I want it just to have a legit Arceus. However, I do agree it would be more fun to train it. That is the best part of the game for me. BUT since I can't, I would just throw it in the box right next to my Regigigas haha.
  25. Aww why such a buzz kill x3 Pokemanz is supposed to control your life to the point that you lose all grips on reality silly.
