  4. This has nothing to do with religious perspectives, Floot, and no, atheists don't always look into fact. They have something called bias too. Their bias is that "there IS NO God". If anything, I'd say agnosticism is an even more fair perspective... they consider a God but are not sure. I'd say both sides, religious and non-religious, have their bias... and not everyone looks into fact. Anyways, that doesn't necessarily imply luck. You could have survived through a miracle too you know. You're only looking through one side saying "oh I'm so lucky". Well, how can you be so sure chance pulled you through? There are situations where not even your vaunted Lady Fortuna can save you from... only a miracle could save you.

  7. Added pictures... and ugh. For some reason, everytime I use Mewtwo, he sucks X_X Why????
  8. I dunno, but I feel like pinning this topic. - pinned - Ignoring my ranting about Politoed, this was the ONLY random battle where I got the cute frog...
  9. Usually a badge looks like one of those gym leader badges... but whatever. Maybe a Smeargle might do :-/ You already know my opinion for this Okami... kunaidude, telos, Illithian, Narwhal, Enkidu, bear831, Okami, that Japanese name guy, pokemonfan... that's quite a list of people. Compared to us Shoddy moderators... yeah, definitely...
  10. Team Dreary [sprite]038[/sprite] [sprite]094[/sprite] [sprite]282[/sprite] [sprite]426[/sprite] [sprite]429[/sprite] [sprite]478[/sprite] ... although I'm already satisfied with my in-game team.
  11. But do you know for sure if it's luck? If all odds seem improbable (see Greencat's scenario below) when Lady Luck abandons you and the only thing that could save a person is miracle... I believe it's a miracle...
  12. Luck happens by chance. Do you honestly believe all that could have happened by chance? It seems improbable for me. All that you see... human life, nature... the patterns of this world... were all created by chance? The odds of that is unfavorable.
  13. I believe in miracles. Fortuna is cruel to me >.> Miracles do occur everyday but sometimes we refuse to believe it.
  14. Enough. We start anew. I wish Misdreavus's shiny wasn't gold.
  15. <p><p><p><p><p>Hey there. How's it going?</p></p></p></p></p>

  17. I think your lead Weavile might be better off with Pursuit over Night Slash because people tend to just retreat if their lead screwed up, although I could be wrong. Also, Aqua Tail would be more useful over Earthquake for Tyranitar because you can hit Hippowdon and Gliscor for super effective damage. Ground and Water have very redundant coverage anyways. I'd also advise you to hold a Babiri Berry on Tyranitar just in case some Scizor comes in and decides to ruin the fun with a STAB Technician Bullet Punch... I'll look over your team a bit later. But so far, I think what lucarioowned said still holds. You do have some form of Gyarados weakness :-/ You know by checking your IVs or you can fight a Kecleon and see which type it becomes. Or just experiment against a wild Pokemon and see if it hits super effective, not very effective or no damage or just neutral. You'll have to test against multiple Pokemon, of course, for one Pokemon test would be inconclusive.
  18. Ok guys, lay off the debating here. If you want to continue, then create a debate topic regarding this in the debate forums. Anyways, I don't think anyone's here to hurt anyone nor accuse them of anything rash. We should all try working together instead of quarreling with our pride.
  19. A lot more specific I've used Froslass quite effectively in a hail team, but if it's a non-hail team, you can try a Froslass lead, but she's not as effective in OU. Is it going to be centered around Froslass? Or will the team just utilize Froslass as a support unit? Either way, it's pretty tough to come up with one :-/
  20. Oh is it really? I had no idea! I thought it was Dragon/Flying... but I guess I'm wrong :creep: And please vote and state your reason >.>
  21. I'm gonna merge all random battles into one topic. Tell me if that's a bad idea
  22. My brother does that to me ALL the time >.> I don't see how Ladies first is being sexist. It's more a way to be polite to them and whatnot. The custom for women to be first... well, I don't know. Different sexes have different roles. But then again, what is the debate here? Because I'm not seeing it o_O
  23. Posting what I told you via PM... Sunny Day (weakest weather in battles though) - boosts fire moves by 1.5x - weakens water moves to 50% damage - Thunder has 50% accuracy - Solarbeam requires no chargeup - Pokemon cannot freeze while the sun is up - Synthesis, Moonlight, and Morning Sun recover 66.6% of the user's health - Special abilities like Chlorophyll activate... chlorophyll users double speed in the sun, Leaf Guard Pokemon cannot be status'd in the sun, Flower Gift powers up the Pokemon's and the partner's attack and special defense in double battle, Dry Skin users take 1/8 damage per turn, and so does Solar Power users (although their special attack raises) Rain Dance (one of the most powerful weathers, best in ubers and UU) - boosts water moves by 1.5x - weakens fire moves to 50% - Thunder gets 100% accurate (ouch! suicide for water pokes!) - Thunder can hit through Protect sometimes (O_O) - Solarbeam becomes 60 base power - Synthesis, Moonlight, and Morning Sun recover 25% of the user's health - Swift Swim users get double speed in the rain, Rain Dish users recover 1/16 of their health, Dry Skin users get 1/8 of their health, Hydration users become rid of their status in the rain Sandstorm (best weather in standards) - All Pokemon not Rock, Ground, or Steel type take 6% damage in the sandstorm - Pokemon with Sand Veil get 20% more evasion in the sand and take no damage from sandstorm - Rock Pokemon's special defense get boosted by 50% - Solarbeam becomes 60 base power - Synthesis, Moonlight, and Morning Sun recover 25% of the user's health Hail (pretty cool weather, one of my favorites along with rain) - All Pokemon not Ice type take 6% damage in the sandstorm - Blizzard gets 100% accurate - Blizzard can hit through Protect sometimes (O_O) - Pokemon with Snow Cloak ability gets + 20% in Evasion and not get damaged by hail (although all Snow Cloak Pokemon ARE Ice types) - Solarbeam becomes 60 base power - Synthesis, Moonlight, and Morning Sun recover 25% of the user's health - Pokemon with Ice Body regain 1/16 of their health in hail
  24. (Wraith89 v. Greencat) Shoddy Warstory Yeah, this was an old warstory I forgot to post. Greencat told me to post it or else I'd be his indentured servant for the rest of his life. o_O Team PP strikes again... against Team Greencat. This was an awfully close battle... and I hope it shows you what some Pokemon can actually do. Yes, I actually lost this round, but at least from here you'll learn something Rules: Rules: Evasion Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Sleep Clause Pokemon: (In order of appearance) Wraith89 Greencat
