    Sorry I couldn't give you the answer you wanted to hear. Good luck with the playthrough! The bright side is, if you have access to the DLC, you can go catch a high level legendary in CT at the start of the game. That should help with the main story playthrough.

    And I said no. To elaborate, such a thing doesn't appear to exist. And even if it did exist, it would be incomplete. Such things usually have messed up story flags, etc etc. So just restart the game and play through normally. I know this is not the answer you want to hear, but there's no way around it. If you want to go online, and fear being banned, play it normally.

    Backup.bak should not be there. It's not one of the acceptable file names. What if you started a *fresh save* in OFW, then caught and shifted some mons into your PC. Does HOME work properly with it then?

    No. You should just restart the game. If your old game has gone online before, there is no safe way to change your OT.

    A factor that is not directly editable by PKHeX. And it is not recommended to edit it via hex editing anyway. So start a new game.

    Start a new game. there's extra data used to identify your save as an individual, so if you change your save name, it's obvious that "the individual" changed their trainer name, and that can only be done illegally. Thus hacked. Therefore, start a new game.

    For the record, I moved a few mons up with non-Alphabet characters in their names: From Gen 3 to Gen 5: Farfetch'd, NidoranF, NidoranM, Mr. Mime, Porygon2, Ho-Oh From Gen 4 to Gen 5: Mime Jr., Porygon-Z Only Farfetch'd has this issue. Edit: @LilSmooshy the devs are looking into the issue of unnicknamed Farfetch'd and the Gen 3 in-game trade Farfetch'd.

    @Kaphotics it appears PKHeX isn't dealing with the apostrophe right when emulating the transfer up. To supplement the entries, here's my Gen 3 and 4 Farfetch'd (both the same copy, but transferred up via Desmume). I can transfer that copy up to Gen 5 if need be. Based on the files provided, it looks like transferred up species name differs from ones bred in Gen 5? As a result, the old Farfetch'd will be flagged illegal with the old name. 083 - FARFETCH’D - D6CF72B1B9CC.pk3 083 - FARFETCH’D - 62B072B1B9CC.pk4

    Do you still have the proper pk3, pk4 and pk5 files?

    if you couldn't launch into backup mode, then I would think it's not only poke_trade that is missing. Okay, if you delete the save in OFW, then try to launch HOME and inspect the "save", what happens?

    I'm thinking Farfetch'd could be related to the handling of the apostrophe. Try transferring up normally from Gen 3 and see how that goes.

    Could just be Transporter being iffy. Get rid of their event moves, get them to level 100, then check again.

    Normally, one's save folder would confirm main, backup, and poke_trade. I get the feeling you're missing the other two. While I cannot be certain the lack of the other to is what causing your problem, who knows. What you can do: Perform the same process to get your OFW save into CFW. Then, access the save folder via your PC. Make sure main is there. Then, make a copy of main, paste it in the same folder, and rename it backup. Look into older save backups of yours, and copy over poke_trade. Now that your CFW folder has all 3 files, inject that folder into your game. (also keep a safe backup of this folder) Then continue the process to shift them into OFW. Then delete your CFW save. Then try the HOME thing again.

    that is kinda weird. When you copied over the save, did you only copy "main", and nothing else?

    Okay, there's something I'll like you to do. Go into OFW, catch a mon, shift it into the second last slot in Box 1, then save twice. Then, go into HOME, and shift a mon into the last slot of Box 1. Take a photo of Box 1. Then, make sure you save changes. Then launch the game, and go back into Box 1. Take a photo. Upload both photos here.

    What language are you playing on?

    @BlandBoringName have you progressed to the point where you've gotten at least one mon in the PC? And, are you playing on an emulator? Edit: Looking at the hex, it looks like you didn't save in-game. There's no trainer name on the file. I would assume that you're using state saves on Citra. Please save in-game. (using the in-game menu)

    I'm having the same issue with your saves. Maybe the games check something in the save. I guess all I can say is "don't do that". It's not like swapping saves is something that was intended.. (It's funny, cause I accidentally imported your save into JP Emerald. Which it boots up past continue, but loads up funky. That's just how FRLG save works in Emerald lol)

    I can't think of any place that may help. You may have to search the net if anyone had a similar issue. Anyhow, if you don't mind, I could run through some questions and try to troubleshoot with you. 1. How did you delete the save in Emunand? 2. After the save deletion, if you use Checkpoint to do a save back up in Emunand, does it actually produce a usable save? 3. While using HOME in OFW, after withdrawing a mon, while still in the boxes screen, did you press the + button and chose Save changes and exit? 4. After step 1 to 3, try booting the game in CFW, what message is displayed?
