  1. Untested by me, but I think a better Trahs Byte Nromalizer might be here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?645-Legality-Checker-vB54-21
  2. Okay, to get the Pokemon Trash Byte Normalizer, (which is just for upping the legit-seeming factor,) go here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?3040-Trash-byte-normalizer-w-Platinum-Support! Now, the rest of what all this is about isn't a program. Basically, you know the hidden variables within each Pokemon? (Like IV's, EV's, etc.) This is a way to approximately convert them allowing you to put them in when trying to recreate the old poke's in something like pokesav. Just look through my first post here. It shows you gokufan's enhancement to my method & a link to my method. Have a nice day ya'll, PM260
  3. The GBA event downloads should be GBA events migrated to the DS games, & thus should count as DS Pokemon. That should mean it wouldn't be possible, unless a way was made to get DS Pokemon into the GBA games. But since you can already do the opposite way officially, & the DS games are much better ones, unless you really wanaa use them in the GBA games, there's no real reason to do that.
  4. All Level 100. The team: Tried to mish-mash his GSC & HGSS team. Basically, no Snorlax but both Lapras & Espeon. EDIT: Regarding Red's team.
  5. Okay, so, as some might know, I once made a way to approximately convert Gen II variables to Gen IV variables called, "The Pokemon Trade Project." There was a person named gokufan who looked at it & showed a way to make it better, making legitmaecy possible. So, I combined that with the program, "The Pokemon Trash Byte Normalizer," to make it even more legit-seeming, & I can tell ya'll now that I have a perfectly legal result! Here's a Pokemon converted from Gen II to Gen IV: So, yeah! Awesomness! BTW, here's gokufan's Gen II to Gen IV conversion: ------------------------------------------------------- "Hmmm I don't really like idea making pokes with 31 IVs in everything and 255EV in every stat, because they won't be legal. What if we could make them weaker but legal (legit?). In I and II gen there wasn't competitive battling.... IVs: We could do a simple maths: IV*2-1 Pokemon with 16 IVs in HP would have now 31IVs, 15 - 29, 3-5, 2-3, 1-1 etc. EVs, pokemon could have 255 EVs in every stat, right? That makes total 1530EVs - we could simply divide it by 3, Pokemon would have now ~510EVs - if there is a digit after comma, then we could cut it. Thanks to this Pokemon could have legal stats. If pokemon is not at level at 100, we can simply delete its EVs by berries and then train it for a better fighter... Hmmm now, natures? There are 251 pokes in II gen.... the convertor could give them always the best nature to the Pokemon Specie (for example Gyarados would have always Adamant nature) thanks to this they wouldn't be totally lame What do you think about it? I won't make this, cause i don't know how... maybe some programmer could do this.... EDIT Of course i'm talking about conversion from II gen to IVth... " ---------------------------------------------------- And here's the latest Pokemon Trade Project thread regarding my work on the net, which also includes attempted approximate TCG-Gen IV & PMD-Gen IV: http://nsider2.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=494209&st=0&p=8938571& So, get your old pokes ready! -PM260
  6. Although I agree that the HG/SS logos look cool, I think for nostalgia reasons they should've kinda done what FR/LG did. In case anyone didn't realize, they changed the standard logo font, (Which both Gen I & II used,) most notably being fatter, when going to Gen III, but as FR/LG was remakes of R/B/Y, they kinda did a 3rd gen-ish, (remember, there was a little bit of a difference,) version of the original Pokemon logo font. With HG/SS, they just made completely new kinds of logos. ...Whatever. I'm just unhappy they didn't remake the old, "G/S," seal shown on the G/S/C boxes and carts. (You know, the one that said under it, "This game is in the G/S series," or something like that.)
  7. Well, as some might know thanks to my previous posts, I accidentally overwrote my Pokemon Crystal version save, my first Pokemon save ever, in 2009. Well, that gave me more urge than ever to some how find a way to get Pokemon from the older games into the newer games, especially with the Pokemon now overwritten. (Hey, at least they would be in a portable Pokemon game format, & when HGSS came out, when put in there, in a remade version of the game they were in.) Luckily, I had set my best poke's, & even some of my not so great ones, as Registered Pokemon in good ol' Stadium 2, thus having data to build upon. (Along with my memory for stuff like some of the traded poke's OT, etc.) So, I created a formula for approximate 2nd gen to 4th gen in this thing I named, "The Pokemon Trade Project," then leaving it up to IV calculators & pokesav to get my old poke's back. ...The problem is, the calculators came up with some, "no result,"'s, thus making me have to approximate with some of the IV's I DID hev, thus making it even less close to the original thing. Plus, they would nto be in nostolgia-rific Crystal version. So, I thought that, maybe if there was a Stadium 2 save editor, I could have the actual DV's & maybe getting the exact Pokemon I had pretty much back in Crystal, if doing so with Gameshark or something is possible. (Haven't bothered googlin' yet.) Anyways, is there such a thing? Thanks, PM260
  8. Well, I was looking up Chase's posts & could not find any work on Gen II to Gen IV work. May I please see it? To be honest, I myself was working on a similar thing for the IV's & EV's I called, "The Pokemon Trade Project," that received criticism due to people saying stuff like I was, "way off," even though some of the stats I got after using it were very close to the originals, & I did mention that it would only be approximate. ...But yeah, either way, getting them into Gen IV would be even better, & considering I couldn't get all the actual DV's off calculators alone, extracting it staright from the N64 .sav would probably make it even more like the original thing. So, anyways, thanks!
  9. Apparently, PokeBoxGBA, (the closest thing to a full-fledged GBA Pokemon save file editor,) can save the Pokemon as .gpn files. I'm just wondering if this can be converted to .pkm files. Thanks, PM260 EDIT: Sorry, gbn to pkm.
  10. Well, I think I've found one way to dump the save & the best way to dump the ROM: Dump the save: 1. Use Gameshark 3.2 for N64 & then use DexDrive. Dump the ROM: 1. Use Doctor v64
  11. Well, what I actually really wanted was to extract the pkms from my Registered Poke's, considering I accidentally deleted the Crystal save file that had those Pokemon in them. When making this thread, I thought, "Why not just ask for Rentals too?"
  12. So, as a few people on the internet might remember, (it hasn't really reached that many people,) I've been working on formulas that could make Pokemon from, (hopefully in the end,) any part of the franchise where user control exists, at least apprximately, in D/P/Pt. ...So far, I've worked on Pokemon GSC, the TCG, & PMD. Considering this is not an actual hack, (& probably never will be but if someone changes the coding to implement this as a feature, that's very fine by me,) but just formulas, I see it as very well for Pokesav doing more than just cheating your way through the game, for instance. So, I posted on the NSider2 Forums a guide to what I've done so far in it, & i thought it would be best that I share it with this forum. Here's the link: http://nsider.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=494209&st=0&p=8938571entry8938571 Thanks, PM260
  13. I'm talking about trading from say, crystal, to say, ruby. As in, GB/GBC games to GBA games. Which is why we might have to fix legitness in the formula before editing the games' code so as not to produce bad eggs. We might have to do a hack to prevent that, actually... ...I'm also talking about trading registered & rental Pokemon from the Stadium games to the GB/GBC ones.
  14. As many of you probably know, Pokemon transfer works like this: 1st gen-1st gen-2nd gen-2nd gen -------------------------------------- 3rd gen-3rd gen-4th gen-4th gen ...When really, it should look like this: 1st gen-1st gen-2nd gen-2nd gen | | | | 3rd gen-3rd gen-4th gen-4th gen ...Now, this problem started in 2002 with Ruby/Sapphire's Japanese release, but no one has done anything about it. ...Well, recently I used certain tools to experiment on the Pokemon games. ...Although in approximate form, I have actually managed to make a Pokemon I have in a 2nd gen Pokemon game exist in a 4th gen one. This seems to be possible via a formula that my experiments produced, which I now dub, "The POKEMONMASTER260 Pokemon game formula." (I know, pretty....basic, I guess....) ...Now, here's the formula (Please give credit!): 1. Pretend, whether or not it's true, that the Pokemon has max stat exp. (Unless it's newly caught, in this case, no stat exp.) 2. Calculate the DV's it would currently have w/ the stat exp in question. 3. Add 16 to the DV's you now have & congrats, you have IV's. 4. Now, if not newly caught: make EV's max all stats. If newly caught: No EV's for all stats. ...Now, I haven't exactly experimented on the other way around, (Pokemon from 4th gen to 2nd gen,) but I'm pretty sure that would also work in approximate form. (Maybe I'll just have to reverse the formula!) ...So, okay, believ me or not believe me. It probably won't matter considering I plan on unveiling the formula soon anyways. (BTW, I've got my reasons for not automatically telling people the forumla...) ...anywyas, believe it or not, the gneration gap is not the only improvement we can make! For instance: 1. Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 Rental & Registered Pokemon to GB Pokemon game trading-they were meant to connect & it seems they are the same kind of programmed-Pokemon, so why not? 2. Making a server for USA Crystal PCC-Hackers have recreated the PCC as a patch for USA Crystal, but it's not much without a server... 3. Although not trade-related, other than capturing Pokemon, doesn't hurt: For GSC-Complete Safari Zone restoration-yes, using the beta maps, but I'm talkin' everything guys, ('cuz I know there have been attempts,) Safari Game included! And use the evolution music... ...So, other suggestions would be good! So, what do you think, eh? Sayonara & I hope this goes through, PM260 P.S. Just to let ya'll know, it seems Gameboy development uses the C programming language in GBDK. EDIT 1: Probably should have mentioned: For formula, leave pid at Pokesav default for genderless and female pokemon and just change the gender part of it to male for male Pokemon. Legitness still needs to be figured out. EDIT 2: Hm, C programming might be the primary language used...it seems Nintendo's embraced it for programming games on their platforms.
