  1. Breloom and Togekiss are okay, but everything else is bound to fail. First of all if you're using a defensive Aerodactyl you need Sandstorm from Hippowdon or Tyranitar. I recommend that you make this Aerodactyl use Stone Edge,Earthquake, Stealth Rock and Taunt, with standard 4 HP, 252 attack, 252 speed. Porygon-Z can work. That Kingdra looks like it's too far fetched and would probably be better with Waterfall over Focus Energy. Also it will kill itself with confusion so you might want to consider changing this set. The Relicanth is cool, but it has too many weaknesses and counters to be used in standard. Also if you're using a Torment Heatran you should use it in semi-stall with Spikes/Toxic Spikes. Dragonite doesn't need Stine Edge or Iron Tail. Use Earthquake/Superpower and a Fire move instead. Err I could help you edit your team, but maybe tomorrow. (Tired)
  2. I'll add some things to that list. Metagross: Metagross has great attack and natural bulk, which allows it to take hits and bash things. Metagross can easily lay down Stealth Rock, taking on average about 40-45% from neutral STAB moves, and is able to survive even boosted Earthquakes from strong Ground types. As a lead, Metagross can do many cool things, depending on what moves and item Metagross has. Metagross has Meteor Mash and Bullet Punch takes down things like Aerodactly, Azelf and Roserade (assuming that you're using a Lum Berry) With Occa Berry Metagross beats Infernape, and non Shucca Berry Heatrans with Earthquake. Occa Berry and it's great durability with 252 HP means that it should survive any non Choice Banded/Choice Specs super effective move and severly damage anything that isn't Ghost or Rock/Steel. It's faster then Swampert and Hippowdon and easily survives Earthquakes and thus can lay down rocks and Explode. (Most people predict Explosion, so do not hesitate to use it) Here is some info on Uber leads. Deoxys-S: I feel as if I'm not exaggerating, but this thing seems to be used as a lead in 90% of Uber teams... The reason for Deoxys-s being so popular as a lead is because it is the fastest Pokemon (even faster then most +speed Choice Scarf users) and great supportive moves. Taunt, Stealth Rock, and Spikes means that it can Taunt anything slower to block them from setting up, lay down Stealth Rock and maybe lay down a couple of Spikes. This thing causes so many problems that any Uber team needs to be prepared for this thing. Any strong move with a priority tends to beat with the best results.
  3. Here is a little information about Stealth Rock: Using called SR for short, Stealth Rock is a unique one turn set entry hazard move which damages a Poke as it switches in depending on how weak it is to Rock. Here is a damage chart: 50% - x4 Weak 25% - x2 Weak 12% - Neutral 6% - x2 Resistance 3% - x4 Resistance Stealth Rock is an easy one-turn set up move which can countered by blocking it's usage, such as from Taunt or sleeping. Rapid Spin hitting the opposing opponent is the only way to get rid of the rocks after it is set up. Stealth Rock is one of the most important moves in all meta games. Strongly recommended on all sorts of teams, for it greatly supposes in finishing off teams. In OU it helps take down some of the top tier Pokes; Salamence, Gyarados, and Zapdos are all greatly hindered by Stealth Rock. There is many subjects in which I could expand related to this move, but I find that a short information guide on the popular Stealth Rock users of OU to be the most important at this time. Aerodactly, Azelf, Bronzong, Gliscor, Heatran, Hippowdon, Infernape, Jirachi, Metagross, Swampert and Tyranitar are the most common users in OU. Aerodactly(lead) Aerodactly is the fastest Stealth Rock user of Stealth Rock in OU. It's great speed pared with Taunt allows it to block your opponents from setting up, while setting up your own afterward. Aerodactly really has it's limits of usage, but can still be usable and can be annoying to deal with. Azelf(lead) Almost all Azelfs are now leads containing Stealth Rock. Azelf is a great user of this move because of it's great speed and useful moves such as Grass Knot, Flamethrower and Explosion to make it a semi-wall breaker and semi-sweeper. Azelf also has Taunt which comes in handy to block slower Pokes from setting up things like entry hazards and using sleep moves. After all of this it can Explode, which does severe damage to all pokes aside from Ghosts which is immune to it. Bronzong- Bronzongs bulk and resistances almost always guarantees that it can set up rocks. Either it can switch into more defensive pokes to set up stealth rock and switch out, or it can counter some threats and set up later. Varying on it's move sets, it somewhat counters threats such as Gyarados, Salamence, Jirachi, Metagross, Latias and Gengar. The reason why Bronzong is rarely used is because it is slower and less powerful then its "cousin" Metagross. It is also walled by Heatran, Rotom, Skarmory, and Forretress, who easily set up on it. Gliscor- Most of the ones that carry Stealth Rock are leads. Gliscor has a probability to counter a lot the popular pokes such as Heatran, Tyranitar, Rotom, and Luacrio who often switch from it. Heatran(Lead) Holding a Shucca Berry and having enough bulk to survive even STAB Ground attacks from non offensive pokes, and Explosion, Heatran is a usable Stealth Rock user. It's great Special Attack and STAB Fire also make it a semi-wall breaker. An example of a situation: it can survive a Life Orb Surf from Latias, or a Life Orb Earthquake from Salamence (With Shucca Berry) and KO them both with Explosion. Hippowdon(Lead) Usually used in stall, Hippowdons great physical defense pared with a 50% healing move and a phasing move makes Hippowdon a very popular user of Stealth Rock in sandstorm stall teams. It also counters Lucario and Tyranitar, but is overpowered by sky-based pokes (sky being treated as levitaters or being a Flying type) like Latias, Rotom, Gyarados,Taunt Gliscor and Skamory. Infernape(Lead) Not something I would recommend for Infernapes offensive talents, but still popular as a lead. Fake Out helps it to break Focus Sash and it supposidly beats Aerodactly, Azelf and Roserade. The biggest draw back of this set is that Salamence, Latias, and Gyarados completly set up on it. Jirachi(Lead) Almost all Jirachi leads carry Iron Head, U-turn, Trick and Stealth Rock, while weilding Choice Scarf as an item. Somewhat of a waist for Jirachi as it not only is walled by Steels and Waters(the most common types in OU) However it does manage to cripple maost of the defensive leads, and can still be used to hax an oponent to death. Metagross(Lead) Metagross sets up Stealth Rock while still being able to take hits and cause great damage. Bullet Punch helps KO things using Focus Sash, and makes it more of an anti lead. Metagross also has the greatest Explosion of the game! Unlike some other users of Explosion, Metagross even manages to KO some steel types. Swampert- Popular as a lead. With it's great bulk on both defensive spectrum and only weakness of Grass, Swampert is perhaps the most popular Stealth Rock user of the standard meta game. It is almost garanteed to set up Stealth Rocks, because it usually is only 3-5HKOed by both defensive and offensive pokes(excluding being hit by a Grass-ype move) Swampert can be a counter to Tyranitar, Metagross, Jirachi, and Jolteon. However bulky Swampert is, it's draw back is that it only manages to 3-5 most things itself. Often being bait for Suicune, Forretress and Skarmory. Tyranitar- Tyranitars great Special Defense from it's self started Sandstorm boost, along with it's naturally bulky HP and Defense makes Tyranitar a good candidate for setting up rocks. It's STAB Dark moves helps it counter Latias and Rotom, as well as wall Zapdos, Jolteon and some other special attackers. Tyranitar is still a victim of status moves and can carry Rest if needed. This guide will be edited over time. Any suggestions or questions that you have I will respond to.
  4. Tbird! I like your team. It makes me want to try to be as creative. I'll give you my opinions on some of your pokes. Gardevoir- Your Gardevoir set is a little weird looking, but still usable. You could also try a daul screen set with Reflect, Light Screen, and Healing Wish. This allows you to reduce all damage (except crits) by 50%, which greatly helps your Belly Drummers. Clefable- I love the set! But I do suggest for you to add a little bit of speed to it. I also suggest that you use Leftovers as it does not get any use of Toxic Orb aside from not being able to be effected with other status conditions, few of them hinder Cleafable though. Lanturn- That's a good way to use it as a supporter. Politoed- You already heard ParaDoX65 suggest Poliwrath. If you still wanted to use Politoed, I suggest Return over Bounce. It has more power and may not backfire by missing. Weezing- Hm. I'm not sure if it needs Flamethrower in UU. You should try Rest on it, as you have Heal Bell on Lanturn. You could also use a Rest, Sleep Talk, Will-o-Wisp and Sludge Bomb if it's UU. Claydol-Hm. I like Explosion on Claydol. That way it can harm most things. Your team seems to lack power. Do you really need Cladyol? Rapid Spin is always useful, but none of your things are weak to it. Anyways, see you around!
  5. Yanmega is too strong for UU, but too weak for OU. It's best put in BL.Yanmega is a great Pokemon in my opinion, but is now a gimmik in OU. Yanmega's big downfalls is it's Stealth Rock weakness, weaknesses to many of common types in OU such as Fire, Ice and that it falls short to 1HKO most things. Although it has some great resistances, such Grass, Fighting, and Ground. Unfortunately, most Pokes have a secondary attack in which hinder or KO it with Stealth Rock. (Swampert has Ice Beam, Celebi has Thunderwave, and Lucario can use other attacks to 2HO) It's a great threat, but fails to 1HKO most pokes. A lot of the things like Gyarados, Salamence, Tyranitar, Scizor, Swampert, and Vaporeon, are not 1KOed, even with an item and Stealth Rock to boost it's potential. A lot of people now use Rotoms, Skarmory and Zapdos which wall Yanmega. As for how I would recommend a Yanmega to be used: Yanmega - Modest - Life Orb/Petaya Berry 28 HP, 8 Defense, 252 Special Attack, 216 Speed. Air Slash Bug Buzz Hidden Power-Ground Protect/Substitute Life Orb is my favorite set, it allows it to drain it's health down quickly on both it'self and the oposing. Life Orb allows it to 1HKO Lucario and Heatran with Hidden Power-Ground.The Substitute+Petaya Berry is also usable, using Substitute till Yanmega's HP is under 33% to activate Peteya Berry and increasing Yanmega's Special Attack by one level. It also gives Yanmega a chance to hide behind in case something used a move like Stealth Rock or switches out. This set often fails because many things are not 1HKO'd by Yanmega's moves and it risks fainting if it attacks instead of Substituting down. Feel free to comment on my bad grammar and poor wordings. If you have any questions or would like to comment, I'm always happy to respond.
  6. This guide does provide a lot of useful information, but it is not a team make guide, thus the name "Pokemon Team Building" is not properly named for this guide. If enough people show interest I could make a guide that gives advice and examples of how to build a healthy team for the standard meta game known as OU.
  7. I strongly agree to what SCV has said. We should base the tiers on how it effects the metagame. By usage Kingdra and Heracross would be labled UU/Limdo, however clearly they are too powerful for the lower tiers.
  8. Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause, Soul Dew Clause v HAXMON sent out Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross). 9. You need Stealth Rock, as it is a very useful move in any tier and almost all types of team. Suicune packs Roar, but does not get enough uses for the move, as it works best with the addition of Stealth Rock/Spikes. I've noticed that you have Toxic Spikes support, with two Toxic users. You shouldn't keep those in the same team. You also need to find a better way to use Toxic Spikes, as your team is neither built to stall or has stat-up pokes to abuse it. Your team could also use wall breakers, you lack that, and somewhat bad type-coverage. Also you have somewhat of a difficult time switching into Rotoms, as Blissey may be tricked, Suicune has Electric weakness, Salamence and Electivire hate being burned, and Rotom can't switch Wisp or Shadow Ball. Your team is somewhat weak to status moves, and Blissey can't always be there. Some direct threats are Salamence (mixed or Dragon Dance) Latias (with Calm Mind and Substitute/Refresh) Lucario (with Sword Dance, um....95%) and Infernape (commonly mixed) I suggest that you add a Substitute+Calm Mind user such as Latias in place of Suicune. Toxic Spikes allow it to wear down Blissey. Also Latias checks Infernape and non scarfed or previously Dragon Danced Salamence. I also suggest you to replace Electvire with a Stealth Rock user. Heatran can do a good job with Shuca Berry. With a lot of health it can survive and Earthquake from Life Orb Salamence and KO with Explosion. Heatran naturally counters most Rotoms. And for Rotom I recommend you to use a Timid nature with 280 speed, which allows you to out speed neutral Lucario and KO with Overheat. Anyways good luck CuleX. I hope this can help you.

  11. I do not like the idea of 3 vs 3, because this is the very first tourney PP is having, and I'd prefer it 6 vs 6. But still this looks like a lot of fun ^^, so can I enter please? oh and can I help host this?
  12. I'm not quite sure, but in my experiences these are two things I have noticed: Articuno [sprite]144[/sprite] Articuno needs a massive amount of Pokeballs, averagely 60-100 for me at least. Rayquaza [sprite]384[/sprite] Rayquaza is not hard to capture, but can be difficult to maintain at a low health, due to Outrage's confusion after effect, and Rest. As for the hardest to find, run-away-legendaries can be a hassle, and some swarm only pokes.
  13. Rayquaza [sprite]384[/sprite] I like it because it is not only cool looking IMO, but as a big Uber player it serves my team needs of a good sweeper, and wall breaker.

  16. I feel that because Project Pokemon is it's own community, we should have our own tier list for Pokemon. However, we need peoples help, by gathering your opinions. Testing will be active on Shoddy Battle on the Project Pokemon server. This is the current list I have generated:
  17. Hello and welcome to Project Pokemon. I too believe that battling is about having fun, however I still like to play at a professional level, but try to use as many Pokes and type of teams as I can. Anyways, if you want to maybe get a little experience of the competitive metagame you should ask me. I like to teach people T_T it's all I can do. See ya!
  18. Nice job gathering informnation. Howeve, becasuse this forum is different than Smogon, would it not be a good idea to make our own tier?
  19. Hi! It's cool that your getting into the 4th generation. I guess welcome to this forum. Anyways, once your more into competitive battling you should contact me.
