    PokeTransfer

I should delete this post for mentioning Pokesav in this context.
  2. Posting in the PokeGen section will ensure that I actually see the thread. You got lucky with me checking here. If you upload your save file so that I can view it, I can tell you what's wrong. (You can forum PM me if you want.)
  3. It'll work for save files. Code generation likely needs an update to work. Not to mention codes in general are somewhat messed up (Pokedex codes don't work and I can't guarantee the state of Pokemon codes.) at the moment.

    Coding Issue

The AR problem that was discovered probably won't affect non-Pokedex codes, actually. I don't know what else would cause your problem.
  5. Posting the save file is the quickest way for me to identify the problem.

    Coding Issue

Code generation as a whole isn't reliable at the moment. New information about how the AR works was recently discovered and can affect most codes currently generated. A fix will be in the next beta release, which should be soon, especially with the English versions of Black/White coming out.
  7. It's not (yet) set automatically. That's definitely something that could be done, however.
  8. As far as I know, it's identical in every way that matters to the US version, so yes.

    Sync

If you can reproduce the problem and provide me with the details, I can give you an answer. This is assuming that something is actually being changed by PokeGen, and that you didn't make any modifications prior to saving.

    Sync

I can almost guarantee this is Sabresite's issue and not mine. If data is randomly being modified when it shouldn't be, that's a problem to me. "Legality" garbage (at least regarding PIDs) isn't my concern anymore.
  11. Oh, that. That's a valid concern, and it'll be added, but probably not to the PID finder. You can just leave the PID editbox blank and it'll generate a random PID that meets all of the conditions you specify on the tabs.
  12. Nintendo doesn't care. Why do you? (About PIDs being exactly like game-generated ones.)

Are you saying the displayed calculated stat in PokeGen is wrong compared to the stat in-game?
  14. Why post this here instead of the PokeGen section? As for the problem itself, I don't know what the problem is. I'd need more detail, and preferably exact steps to replicate the problem so I don't have to make assumptions.
  15. It'll work. Edit: I should've said it'll work with save files only prior to beta 17.
  16. You're good at the internet.
  17. I just tested with Desmume with the latest Showdown patch. The checksum is not set like in your save file. This suggests the hardware you're using does it. Anyway, the next release is going to be delayed until I complete code generation for the Pokedex. It's not complex, it's just not something I've had the interest/time to complete.
  18. Can you tell me if you did any editing of this file with other programs prior to trying it in PokeGen? Also, was this save file generated by the ROM from the beginning with no editing before trying it in PokeGen?
  19. For whatever reason, that save file has the checksum set on the first half when no data is actually present there. As far as I know, the games don't do this themselves, even with the kinds of modifications they made to the ROM. Regardless, I've made some modifications to alleviate this for the next release, as it will still allow proper detection of which block is valid.

There's some sort of software that lets you run Windows programs. I don't remember what it's called though. I'm sure a simple search will tell you.

    Bug: Country data

Yeah, it needs to retain data if it's something the games do too.

    Bug: Country data

I'll fix it when I get home, thanks. I wasn't aware Black/White did that.
  23. The suddenness comes from you editing the file manually or with another program that did it improperly. At least one of the block checksums are wrong. I didn't thoroughly check into it, so I can't be more specific than that. When loading the file regardless of the checksums, the data is corrupt. I suppose it's possible that something ended up screwed up with generation 4 loading, however.
  24. That doesn't prevent you from making a proper UI. I realize that, but it can still be done wrong.
