  1. Hello everyone, Today I bring you a legit Celebi tour Celebi! This Celebi belongs to @Dr.Matt and he retrieved it back in 2001 in the spanish stop of the Celebi Tour; in fact he provided most of the data for it a year ago, data I posted here: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/forums/topic/13226-pokemon-crystal-version-with-pcny-event-pokemon/?do=findComment&comment=196197 This week I was able to finally meet in person with Dr.Matt. He was able to keep his Celebi from battery dying by storing it in his Stadium 2 cartridge and because he owned a Mega Memory Card which allowed him to backup and dump savegames (but not to transfer over to computer), and with that he also was able to keep multiple copies of the Celebi, including an untouched one just as he received from the Celebi Tour Truck. Unfortunately his Mega Memory card glitched long ago and he lost most of his untouched saves, so after changing the battery to his cartridge he had to restore a save that had AR codes used on it to retrieve the celebi from Stadium 2 (he didn't have the time to play trough the game to reach the point in which Stadium 2 allowed him to retrieve the pokémon), which is why instead of dumping his savegame he traded it over to mine (which is completely clean). Data-wise this should have no effect at all, since the AR codes were used BEFORE any transfer or trade took place, and the AR codes were never used in the process of getting the Celebi out of stadium and trading, but that is the reason why it is my savegame which being uploaded and not his. Only real hardware has been used for all the Stadium 2 transfer and trade process, here are some pictures (sorry for the blurry ones, we were in kind of a hurry): The Celebi as Dr.Matt had in his Stadium 2 (this picture is from a clone he fully trained). Dr.Matt's authenticity certificate, my laptop and my GBC Cart reader/flasher: Dr.Matt's certificate, his Mega Memory and his Gameboy (sorry for blurryness) A close up of the ID number on the certificate. As you can see it's 2234 and the Celebi actually has 02233. Dr.Matt thinks distribution started at ID 00000 but they wrote 1 in the first certificate they gave and they just keept adding numbers. Some pictures of the actual trade (I brought two gameboys just in case and we used mine which had full batteries): The savefile contains both an untouched Celebi as Dr.Matt received in 2001 and the same Celebi at level 100 and EV maxed. As a bonus, I also included the legit EUROPE Mew that can be found here: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/forums/topic/40508-gen-1-europe-mew-denmark-event-mew/ The savegame also contains a full legit gen 2 living dex and unowndex in the boxes if anyone is interested. Download: Gold_europe_mew_celebi.sav Note: this is a Spanish Gold savefile, but it will load in any non japanese rom. All trades have been done using real hardware, no emulators or other means where involved in the process of getting the Celebi out of Stadium 2 until I dumped my savegame. Thanks to @theSLAYER for making it possible for me to get in contact with Dr.Matt, and lots of thanks to Dr.Matt himself for keeping the Celebi so many years and being so kind to meet with me so we all can enjoy an European Celebi. This had a special personal meaning to me, since I became aware my savegames banished in 2011 and finally re-completing the 251 original pokédex by getting the two exclusive legendaries in person is like reliving that moment in my childhood when I first completed my dexes.

  2. According to Serebii.net a Rotom will be distributed by serial code at the launch of USUM for Line app users in Japan. theSLAYER Edit: You can collect 5 Pokemon a day by simply chatting up Rotom. (it appears spamming works) Once you get all 15 Pokemon, you'll get the Serial Code. Thanks @Kirzi for the heads up!

  3. Don't know if any of you guys already got it, but since jojo asked me some time ago I've been looking for that Battle Royal pre-patch Stockpile Shuckle, and today, I've finally encountered the damned thing. I wanted to post a screenshot of it using the move, but even though I kinda held back in order to give it the chance to do it, the thing just kept spamming Rock Tomb against me xD Anyway here's the file: 213 - Shuckle - FA8F6C74B3D6.pk7

  6. Time to get a Japanese account, and add "Rotom" as friend XD edit: For those with the app Line, this is the QR code to add Rotom as a friend: It is not known, if any kind of achievement/friendship level required, in order for us to obtain the serial code on launch.

  8. I'm confident each celebi machine in the truck had a different OT name and that's it. I don't think OT changed with each distribution but... In any case FRANCO, JENS and NICO should have been obtainable in all countries, I don't know what made nintendo elect those names, Fun fact: Franco was the ruling dictator in spain until 1976, but of course that's just a funny coincidence. I know for a fact that FRANCO celebi was also distributed in germany. Besides distributing celebi in the truck a competition was also held and the winner received a gold cartridge with 20 celebi with CTOUR as OT name. The winner could either keep the cartridge or trade those 20 celebi to 20 different trainers and bring the cart back to nintendo, then they would give the winner a Crystal cartridge. It's worth noting that this crystal cartridge was given a month or two before official release in europe. EDIT: in this picture you can see the truck had more than one celebi machine:

  9. I've restarted the game so many times now... just so I could grab a legitimate cap Pikachu for all the different regions... I hope that the Ultra Sun and Moon intros are a lot shorter... I don't think I can deal with going through the same half-hour to an hour long intro in standard Sun and Moon, ever again...

  10. I think this is the best place to ask this. So I just caught all the Unown on my VC Silver, one scientist in the building at the Ruins of Alph even confirms this. Before doing any of this I made sure that when I entered the ruins for the first time, my first encounter was the letter A, so that it would look nice in my Pokédex (yes I know I’m weird). After getting the Unown Mode in my Pokédex, I started catching the Unown in alphabetical order, so that they again, looked nice when I selected the Unown Mode. I then read on this Bulbapedia page that, when you catch all 26 Unown, the list would reorganizes itself alphabetically. So from then on, I just caught all of them in a random order. But now here I am, all forms caught and while being much further in the game, and my Unown Mode list did not reorganize itself (and me and my OCD (not really) can’t handle it). Does anybody know if I am missing something? Or is the statement on the Bulbapedia page just incorrect? Guess I am going to fiddle with PKHeX and my save file for a while. Edit: Alright, thanks to @Holla!'s Pokemon Gen II save file records thread, I was quickly able to edit the order of the list and now they are alphabetically ordered just as planned, so problem solved I guess.

  11. After many days of researching (luckily my college had a strike, so I had more time as well), I've FINALLY gotten the offsets for the starters, static-encounters, gifts and even phone numbers! There are some things I need to clarify about some Re-Battle Flags: 1) The Sudowoodo Re-Battle Flag works, however, the overworld sprite will be of a little girl NPC. 2) Setting the Red Gyarados Flag and defeating/capturing it will cause Lance to appear at the Lake of Rage up until the entrance of the Souvenir Shop where he reveals the secret staircase, this doesn't mess up any story flags from what I tested, but you'll have another Red Scale. (Only applies if you've already done the hideout quest) 3) The Flag for Crystal's Suicune should only be modified when outside of the Tin Tower; doing so on the 1st floor or descending from the 2nd floor will cause the game to freeze after fighting it. I also went through a very tedious process of getting all the Decorations through Mystery Gift using Stadium 2 as well as through another 3DS, and I even found out that it logs the ones that you've received so you don't get them again. What I've drafted: Decor: All Original Cartridge w/ Stadium 2 possible: FF FF FF FF FF FF 03 All VC and Korean possible: 7B FF FF FF FF 86 03 GS INT: 2673-2679 GS JAP: 2654-265A GS KOR: 264B-2651 Crystal INT: 2654-265A Crystal JAP: 2636-263C Received Logs: Set bytes to FF for all decor items logged Set bytes to 26 E7 D3 FE 6F 06 for legal decor items logged GS INT: BF0-BF5 GS JAP: B5E-B63 GS KOR: FF0-FF5 Crystal INT: BF0-BF5 Crystal JAP: B5E-B63 @theSLAYER - If you need them, here are the Crystal roamers: Roamer #1 INT: 2B5D Roamer #2 INT: 2B64 Roamer #3 (Unused) INT: 2B6B Roamer #1 JAP: 2AC2 Roamer #2 JAP: 2AC9 Roamer #3 (Unused) JAP: 2AD0 Really like to see this implemented into PKHeX since there's apparently a G3 roamer editor now! PS: And just cause I was determined to do so... I'll be shifting focus back to G7, I have some good news to share tomorrow regarding it!

  14. [Information outdated, follow this instead] It's quite literal. Current handler cannot be past gen OT for transferred specimen. I've highlighted the error. Latest (not OT) Handler refers to the Current handler who is holding on to the Pokemon presently, that isn't the Original Trainer. The error message is basically saying "Hey, how can the present guy be the same guy as the guy from previous generation. that makes no sense yo" for OP, change that to "!" (your present trainer name) (I was using a female gender save, don't mind it) [seriously, all the details are in the error message..]
