Hi, to start it all I want to describe what I've done and why, I wanted to complete 100% pokedex in Pokemin Y/OR/M/US on my 3ds, to do so I will need a ditto for starters and etc, I catched 3 dittos in Pokemon Y in Pokemon Village, then I changed their language to JPN in Pkhex, and after that moved them from Y to OR and M via PKSM I wanted them to have different language + different OT for better breeding and shiny odds, but due to servers shut down I coulnd't get one normal way(and I don't want to complete half of game on other save just for Ditto) I only changed the language so was curios do I need to change the names to JPN too or it's legal for them to have ENG names? Here is my trainer data that should be on each ditto, also was curious about how to make ditto with different OT in Pokemon Y(do I just change trainer info for one of my other games(they all have same trainer name)) or catch one in other game, change it language and move it to Pokemon Y like I did previously with other games Did I done everything right, or there are points that I should change? Requirement for “legal” is that the Mon is indistinguishable from one obtained via legitimate means. In this case, as VC RSE isn’t released, and the mons you’re thinking of is cannot be caught nor received in VC FRLG, that means that there’s no legitimate way for you to get it. Which in turn means there’s currently no legal copy you could make. Something can be in the National Dex, but there being no legitimate way to obtain it. In Gen 3, RS launched first, prior to FRLG ColoXD release, you’re stuck with the Hoenn Dex, with no hopes of getting Kanto starters. Also pretty much at the start of every Gen, Mythicals can’t be obtained despite being in the National Dex, because the event isn’t released. Being in the National Dex isn’t a metric that “it must exist right now” at the beginning of a generation. We’re at the start of the era of VC Gen 3. So not everything is obtainable at the moment. Hope that clears things up. edit: also if you cannot wait, hack one in now and breed it (for mons that can breed). The one that was bred and hatched, while would still be illegal now, would likely be legal down the line.

Not a legality issue, but I'll improve the filename=>version detection. You can hold control when opening the save file to get the manual version selection to appear.

Hello, I have a Leaf Green (french version, called Vert Feuille) save detected as Fire Red when opening, so I get the wrong Deoxys in PKHeX. Is this an issue or did I do something wrong?

And how exactly would those games obtain them in trade? There is NO other game that FireRed and LeafGreen can connect to from the Nintendo Switch. They cannot interact with GBA consoles. They are isolated, they cannot receive foreign species, hence them not being legally obtainable. Being present in the save file is 100% cheating/not-legal, hence the message, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Kaphotics They are in the in-game Pokédex. NPC trainers also use them. Plus, Google says they can be obtained through trading. I want my PKHeX not to flag them as illegal.

How can you legally obtain the pokemon without cheating? The only games available are FireRed and LeafGreen; if RSE/Colosseum/XD do not exist for transferring in, then you can't obtain that species. Please think about it.

How can I legaly add pokemons not from Kanto region like feraligatr or girafarig? Error screen shows: "Encounter cannot be traded to the active trainer", I'm playing on Switch and I already have national pokedex PKhex version 20260411

Hi, I am in need of some assistance with an issue I've run into in my Black 2 run. Here's some basic info: I'm playing on an authentic cartridge, but my playthrough is a little custom. I have imported all my boxes from my Black playthrough via PKSM, which does include national dex mons. I have used pkHex to edit things like IVs and EVs, but have made sure everything in my boxes pass the software's legality checks. I've changed my rival's name, but have not edited any other block data. I have not edited any event flags, trainer ID, etc. I have items that I would not have access to yet because before importing all of my mons I attached a lot of what I had (heart scales, leftovers, fossils, etc). Everything I've done to enhance this run is legal via pkHex standards and in my mind shouldn't affect the playthrough. However.. The npc at the end of the old Nimbasa gym did not give me a Parylz Heal, so Clyde is stuck in front of the gym. I ended up injecting my save into a ROM file and just walked through walls to get in and battle Elesa, but he is still standing outside and I can't get back into the gym. I have done extensive digging and have only found one other case, which has zero useless info. From what I could tell it seems like since I didn't get the Parylz Heal, the flag for that wasn't checked, therefore Clyde doesn't despawn. I have found my way to the event flag checklist plug in from fattard, but I have no idea which flag it is as everything is ITEMGET. I've battled the trainers as well since the encounter is forced, but I also can't tell if they are for some reason unchecked in the trainer battle section (rich boy rolan, lady colette). Is there anyone who can tell the item/trainer flags and help? I would greatly appreciate it! Another weird side effect was after battling Rood in Driftveil the npcs did not appear.. instead, Zoroark from the memory link was inside, and a one sided dialogue with Hugh played out. Upon exiting and re-entering the Zoroark activated the memory link and after that, the proper npcs spawned in and I was able to receive Zorua. Edit: I mentioned that everything I have done to the file is considered legal, but there is one thing that may teeter on it and I’m not sure if that’s what caused this: prior to starting the save file I injected the challenge key and activated it via PKSM.

The Spinda event should never trigger in the first place. Spinda unlocks no dungeon now as stated somewhere in the OP. Inferno Cave unlock is also intended. Keep in mind the postgame is much different compared to Sky so don't consider something different from Sky as a bug, all of it is intended and if there's a bug, it should be something unnatural

You should now be able to pick normally unavailable moves, such as Z-Moves in Gen 7, when PKHaX mode is enabled.
