    I'll be participating, assuming that this year's will be in Tennessee, too. I mean, I went last year; I got Ursaring. Guess who got selected? TEDDIURSA AND SLUGMA SFKDAFGDASFGDS. I almost fear it this time around, however. Legendaries don't scare me. EV-trained legendaries scare me; I don't think I've ever had one Wi-Fi Uber battle because I'm too perfection-y with IVs, etc and too busy to soft reset for them. @__@; I really don't have enough practice, let alone double battle practice. Regardless, I'm amped.

    My first shiny EVAR was a Mareep I encountered on the way to Lake of Rage for the first time on Gold. However, I've since restarted that file. In Ruby, Firered, and Emerald, I've seen 2x shiny Zubat and a shiny Golbat. One of them became a Crobat, but I traded it away long ago. ;

    So, I want to make a Pokemon. Not as an egg, but I want it to read that it had just hatched from one, so for the sake of example, I'll say Horsea, lv. 1, hatched in Valor Lakefront. Now, I input everything as I believe it should be, left-over. No held item, correct TID and SID, Level 1, 0 Experience, 0 Happiness, and I'll throw in Pokerus. It's a Pokeball, as it was hatched, and the ability is Swift Swim. It's got no nickname, so it's HORSEA, and my trainer is a girl, named Haruka. Then, I chose desirable, yet random, IVs; HP/Atk/Def/Spe/SpA/SpD were 31/18/30/31/31/29. But as much as I've read, I'm still not certain about the whole lack of any PID mattering, as IVs are overwritten. And this isn't truly hatched, it's... a baby, not-really-hatched. So according to Pokesav, a legit PID yielded was 2330405090. Type 4, Modest, 1, Male, Not Shiny. * I don't know what the Type # represents. I assume that the 1 or 2 corresponds to the ability it can have, so... Swift Swim works there? Converted to Binary, the last digit is 0, meaning ability 1, right?) I guess what I'm getting at is: What do I need to do to show this as truly legit? Legal, even, for tournament play (assume I'm going to something official, say, Nashville's VGC.) It came from an egg, so 85h is 00. 44h is D0, 45h is 07, 46h is 49 and 47h is 00 (07D0 is Day Care Couple's hexadecimal, and 0046 is Valor Lakefront's hexadecimal.) It has a seemingly legit PID, the correct hidden hex values... what, then, do I alter to make it real? And, if nothing, should I upload the .pkm for testing? I have problems using the legality checker, and people say it lies because I'm on Platinum, so... @_@ help is greatly appreciated.

    As my signature says, I've been trying to get an Adamant shiny Magikarp by the method 'thetorsoboy' hosted on youtube, with the RNG. Most of the time, the Magikarp is natured as Relaxed, or Docile, or Calm... Never Adamant. Is there a way to make the nature you want work? D; (also, I tried with an Everstone ditto, and that seems to throw it off completely...) Also, how does legit Shinyness work in PokéSAV? I can never get a PID generated that would be an honest shiny, let alone the gender I want, and I've used countless variations of /desirable/ IVs. I used my TID/SID/etc to get an alternate SID, and yes, it did register as my Pokemon in that I could rename it, but not as such that it recognized it completely (Egg Apparently Hatched). Is there an easier way to do this? @_@;

    'lo all, I'm Shiranui, your [if you didn't already have one] token wapanese fanboy. Let's see... I like girls, spicy food, games (Megaman, Golden Sun, Okami, Pokémon, Zelda, Metroid, others~) I draw and read quite a bit, I enjoy the outdoors, and I like shouting the Trogdor song at little kids. I've been using PokéSAV quite successfully for a while - I do have some questions I need answered*, which was a primary reason I joined, but I plan on staying - and I consider myself a more-than-decent battler. I don't often write in smallfont, I just don't like typing long messages without it. And I abuse color-letter/number, but I'll try to stop that. *shot* So yeah, I hope to... contribute as best as I can? ; *these concern PID/IVs; what section would I ask in?
