Cruithne started following HG/SS Mystery Gift Workaround?
-
Heya! Been a long time since I posted last! I've just been wanting to ask a question to all those able to help me. The older versions of Pokesav (DP/Pt) all had the ability to set Wonder cards to be able to be distributed to whatever version you wanted (Diamond, Pearl or Platinum [if modified in Pokesave for PLAT]). In my case, I'm wanting to do this with the last couple of Pokewalker Routes recently distributed via Nintendo WFC. I am aware that the current version of Pokesav does not facilitate modification of the event sections. I have read that the current workaround for getting mystery gifts onto a copy of HG/SS is to create an AR code for it and to directly receive it as a GIFT in the game, not via a WONDER CARD, correct? So, I am assuming that it isn't possible to receive it as a Wonder Card, let alone change it so it has free distribution between other HG/SS versions? I intended to receive both the US routes into a ROM, then wirelessly transfer them to a retail cart... Possible? No?

Hullo! I am back! (for all those that knew me anyway! *waves at Zafur*) Here is my aged mug. I just came to drop in for some info. The new board looks so chiq! Wow. God, my camera suddenly got so bad. I'll edit that. Edit: Ugh. Better, but no cookie.

Will do. Let me know when you possibly have a complete (or nearing complete) hack. I'll be around to help.
-
I think I'm with Jamuko on this one. Increasing the odds would be awesome! Having to work just a little bit for it is okay by me. (Just not too much my luck with shinies are bad enough already) Nice work on the hack so far, Roland. I was thinking of making a encounter location list, do you have someone else working on one at the moment?

Old Story I Have - Living On The Country Side

Yeah, some word processing formats don't translate well to VBulletin. Not sure why that is. Imma just going to look at your first post. You know what I really like about your stuff, Midori-kun? It's that it's really comfy and it's personal, but it's not intrusive or in your face. Even though you've written as a female, the character and the mood is natural, which is great! I like this setting. The added feature of the birds brings that warming quality. Use of adjectives is good, very appropriate and effective. Don't think I'll say anything here, 'cause I think you know Zafur caught me on the same error. Your first paragraph sets Amanda sitting underneath a tree on a hill. The next you mention her going down stairs. There's no transition between her going from outside to inside. I also feel the use of words "from anywhere" is slightly awkward because some of the context might be missing. I'm not sure if you meant it like, "I can smell her pancakes anywhere!" or "The aroma of chocolate chip pancake is everywhere..." NUM NUM, they do sound yummy But would make this even better if you removed the "taste of," I say this only because you have Amanda describe the taste already. Taste has lots of quality and not just flavour as well! Texture is also important! So if you did remove it "exquisite creamy filling" sorta sounds like melt in your mouth... *drool* You put everything else appropriately in quotes, but missed this little one Did I mention you write girls very well? You do, you know. You know that's often hard for some guys Having that sort of perception and ability is uncommon, so you are lucky! :3 -
OMG... You're totally right! How the hell did I miss that? GAH. I feel really dumb! Okay, okay... This is WHY you have to show people stuff. They pick up on the stuff you miss. (AAAAAAAAAHHH BAKA.) ...I have skill, but I don't have talent. That's one thing I've known for a long time. Before I even started RP, I was a shocking creative writer. It got me the lowest score in an assignment ever (2/10). ...I think it's important to never believe you've reached the top. I'm far from good, I'm even further from being considered a writer. I meet so many fun people, though, so the experience is worth more than the skill, honestly. Thank you, so, so much, Zafur! I might get around to writing more of this in future.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read that, Zafur. I really appreciate it! Personally, I'm not one for teen drama either But I got inspired to write something different and challenge myself to try something I haven't done before. If you would be willing, I'd like to get a bit more clarification on the vagueness. (If it's about the first three paragraphs though, that's really intended.) ...In RP, people tend to get the wrong idea when first starting out and write only for themselves. In an environment which requires you to bond with others, it's a bad mentality to have. If you write for yourself, why are you writing with others? (Doesn't make sense, right?) So to me, it's important to write for others. You want people to read your stuff and care about it. Nothing grates on my nerves more than badly written characters (and let's face it, most RP is crap)

Ye olde English be, thus, a travesty! Seriously, if you're going to just revert back to common English, don't try to make it sound any more "majestic" than it really isn't. Also, I'm wondering if "catching shiny pokemon" is considered "art," wouldn't this content be more appropriate in the respective gen sections?

You mean with the CycloDS Evo.? The 'firmware,' or in this case updates shouldn't be something that puts you off. Team Cyclops' updates are meant to increase the capability of the card with the future device and ROMS, not hinder compatibility with "objectionable" material (unlike the PSP). The CycloDS Evolution has shown potential to work on the DSi, but I believe that the testing it still in early stages. Since Team Cyclops haven't released anything formally, I'd personally refrain from using it in a DSi. I mean, they don't even know if utilising the current device is even completely viable. There are obviously reasons why there hasn't been a release for it at this stage. (Although, the problems they're having haven't actually been mentioned.)

I guess, as a female with weird fangirl tendencies, I like cute stuff. So, aesthetically, I like them all. But none of them have made me go "Awwww" quite as much as Jirachi. Manaphy was a very close second. ...and Sky Forme Shaymin is ew. I'm not a fan of its appearance. Its Land Forme gives me warm fuzzies. I have a thing for plants. (Real ones. Not always digital ones)

What's Your Favorite Pokemon? Current Pokémon Type: Dragon
Cruithne replied to Greencat's topic in Generation 4
Hehe, well my favourite Psychic Pokemon is Chimecho, followed by Gardevoir and Alakazam -
This was originally a PbP Roleplay between me and another member, but fell through shortly after some drama happened between her and her now ex-boyfriend. I really quite liked the way that the start of this story went and I wanted to know what you guys think. The plot that was planned for this: Two very unlikely girls band together to murder the guy that is double dating them. The story starts off rather banal, seeming like usual teen drama, but I wanted to take it to the next level and create something really twisted and dark. So the story will be about the two of them escaping the law, preventing suspicion and eventually one trying to outdo the other in a really nasty act of betrayal and desperation. It's long, but I really would like some honest comments. Note that this isn't novel or formal structure. Comments on anything are welcome (There is probably one or two incidences of mature language, so the warning is here)

Nope, shinys have been around since second gen. I should know because I'm still raging about the fact that I've never personally encountered a shiny and the first time my brother plays Pokemon Gold, BAM! Shiny Weedle.
-
I liek mudkips! Seriously though, I did start with Mudkip. I really enjoyed training that one too. I like Torchic better, but Mudkip was my first. I have never used Treecko.

Actually... that's not standard in all countries, formats or tertiary faculty studies.
