    Victini is shiny-locked, and it''s not in gen 4. The other two are in gen 4 and can be shiny provided you have the event item.

    Personally, I would hold off on updating. Getting CFW is the only way to futureproof yourself from breaking homebrew.

    TL;DR: His company had a barcode generator, an empty text file was included in the code, barcode generator broke because it read hidden data in the text file

    It probably was a bad injection, You could try to inject another rom but the safest thing to do if you want to guarantee access to your save file is to play on an 3DS emulator like VBA

    Huh really, I imported it into gen 2 then extracted it and put it back into gen 1 Just tested my one and it reads as legal, what version of PKHeX are you using?
